this is a nice running store in the kentlands market square in gaithersburg. i admit it was a…read morelittle hard to find, esp following my gps, but i eventually found it on the southeast part of the shopping complex. there's some parking immediately outside the store, more parkiing in front of whole foods. the store has a nice clean layout, nutrition & accessories in the middle/front and clothing to either side of the store, shoes in the rear. there's a unisex bathroom in the very back, well-appointed and very clean. they have a weekly, community fun run 5k every monday @ 1830, the dog haus run club. it's free and open to all levels. the runners there are very friendly.

I had bought cleats online at a different store and had to return them because they were way too small. We were able to try on several different cleats and found the perfect fit. (Two sizes up from what I had ordered BTW.) We we're also able to try on shin guards to find a new pair that also fit better. The store is on the second level of the plaza up the stairs. We will be back for our soccer needs!

Strangely my order didn't give a breakdown of how much was on the GC and how much was charged to my card, so Matt allowed me to just refund it all back to my card but (of course) I forgot my CC. But knowing that some new bats are $100+ or even upwards of $250+ a pop, getting a decent one for 50% off retail is great when you don't have the luxury of waiting for sales. And if you are conservation minded like me, the fact that this stuff isn't just getting thrown out and can be used for others is a plus. They also obviously have softball, football, hockey, soccer, and other sport supplies in stock. And the store did not smell like a nasty locker room, which us a great sign.

I had a couple of maybes, but I left empty handed. There is only one entrance to the store now. Kohl's needs to make some changes to insure the customer experience is more positive. The quality just feels poor- even the ones that were 70% off. The tops and dresses had no shape to them. Poor quality material and yet they want high prices for them. The brands are not high end (Nine West, Simply Vera, Laura Conrad), and still look cheap. Sweaters that they were asking for $40 looked cheap. The only thing that they had going for them was that they have a Sephora inside. Like TJMaxx... one Cashier and long line at 11:27 am. It feels like a lower end TJMaxx. People behind me were complaining about not having enough cashiers. Ugh!
