CIF Real Estate Properties hired Steadfast Electric on my behalf to replace a breaker on my rental…read morehome in Hewitt, TX. The invoice provided by Steadfast after the work was completed indicated 2 electricians at $145 for a total of $358.90. I spoke with Steadfast about how it could take 2 electricians to perform a basic electrical service of replacing 1 breaker. I was told that CIF knows they operate in a team of 2. When I continued to ask how it could possibly take 2 electricians. I was told it was him as the licensed electrician and his helper who was billed out at $22 an hour. He then had no response to my question as to why I was charged for 2 electricians at $145 per hour. When I explained that a simple google search indicates that it takes 1 electrician and typically costs $100-$200 to replace 1 breaker, he said he stood by his billing. This appears to be price gouging to an out-of-state customer or maybe even a standard practice of price gouging.
