We recently had our roof damaged by hail. We were working with several area roofers to get estimates , including DT Roofing. Unlike the other roofers , who were only interested in getting a quick insurance job for replacement shingles , DT Roofing and Duane Sparks listened to us when we told them that if possible , we would like to use this opportunity to upgrade to a metal roof if it was not too much of an additional expense. One other roofer went so far as to tell us that a metal roof would actually detract from the appearance of our home. Duane was able to get us a metal roof , and the total cost was less than $ 1000 over the cost of the insurance company's estimate. Initially used DT to replace a roof on a home. Two of the guys who actually replaced the roof were excellent but the workers who were sent to pull the old roof off were not effective and damaged a rock fence. They left trash and cigarette butts in the yard around the house each day they were here. We had DT do a cement job around the exterior of the home also and had issues with concrete being drained from the truck down a gravel driveway. No apologies were given, just an assurance they would cover it up with more gravel. When it rains, the gravel washes out in those places now. They are now finishing a small bathroom in the home and multiple labor/quality/time issues with the foreman running the job continues. The one bright spot has been the workman that replaced the back patio, he has been professional and completed work in a timely manner. DT was supposed to replace a ramp to the patio for the older woman who lives in the home but the estimate DT provided was more expensive than the patio they just replaced for her. The ramp was discussed and measurements taken before DT started on the patio/ramp job. If you do business with DT make sure you get their project managers to include every item you discuss in each job. Make sure you track the deposits they get up front to start a project and that those amounts are deducted from the final bill on each project. read more
