No one was working the door, so we had to walk back to the kitchen to ask if we could be seated. It took forever to get our food and drink, but it was Cinco de Mayo so whatever. The good: The appetizer sampler was fire. Highly recommend. The frozen drinks were exactly what I expected and I love a frozen, slushy drink. Again, highly recommend. Now for the bad. The service was awful. It took a full 20 minutes after we were completely done eating, napkins on top of the plates done, to find our server, Dajsha, and ask for our check. She cleared the plates and then never came back. After another 10-15 mins, we got our money together and walked over to the register to ask her to ring us up, where she then had the nerve to add 20% gratuity when there were only 2 of us and she offered no service. And that's not to say that we wouldn't have tipped 20% to begin with, but to add in gratuity like it was a large table that you worked hard on was out of line. I got the flauta plate, In both cases they were clearly frozen items from the food service company or Sam's Club. To top off the dinner, the bill had an automatic 15% tip added. The fries were fresh and hit the spot too. I also tried a couple of their IPAs, and they had a nice selection. Great flavor, great pour--perfect combo with the wings. Stopped in DSTRKT for Cinco de mayo! I saw that they had specials that day. I didn't realize that their Cinco special was also their regular Tuesday special. We had visited last yr for a bar crawl but dont recall being able to try the food due to the wait. However I was happy to be able to come back & finally give it a try. I typically only eat authentic Mexican steak tacos. And these were really good! The margaritas were also really good. Some of the best I've had in a while. I'm usually picky with margs b/c ppl will add too much sweet or sour. These had a perfect blend and almost taste like they used fresh ingredients! I'll be back again for taco Tuesday as well as wing Wednesday! I hope the wings live up to the hype & are as good as the tacos! Another point to add. Went there for "Wing Wednesday" They have all you can eat wings for $20 abs all I can say is DELICIOUS!!!!! Meat fell right off the bone! They had an abundance of flavors to choose from and you didn't have to stick with just one. When we got there we had to wait about 25-30 min because it was so crowded. The nice part about waiting is that was a little spot in the basement where there are chairs and a bartender to hold you over. We ordered fries which was also delicious although a little too expensive in my opinion. Staff were really nice and servers were quick with the refills of everything. Looking for a cool place in Chicago for food & drinks! I would say we got a 2-for-1! They had food & a great bar atmosphere upstairs & the down stairs a more dance club esc vibes. That was perfect because we didn't have to leave to search for anything else! I got the slimy garlic parm wings - they were cool not fried as hard as i generally would like them but I also didn't request that upon ordering. I also got the shrimp & French fries platter - the shrimp was actually fried a little too hard for me but good enough to eat. I've been here multiple times and never had an issue until this week. I went out to eat with two friends and we got our checks split, my total was $38 but when the waitress comes back after swiping my card the receipt says $45 now - I asked why and she said gratuity was already added but yet gratuity wasn't added to either of my friends bill without their consent just mine? The waitress says since the tip was already added in, I don't have to add anything else so I let it be. HOWEVER, I check my back account a few days after and now that charge is $52 meaning more tip was added on AGAIN WITHOUT MY CONSENT. I have called the restaurant multiple times to discuss this and they do not answer and after going down the reviews, I can see this is issue has happened a few times at this restaurant. read more

The drinks are the best thing, and even the food isn't that bad honestly. After the last time here my opinion of it improved, and we actually had good service as well as drinks and food. It was lightly busy on a weeknight, but we didn't wait for long. There were quite a few specials. On both drinks and food. We each got a Margarita. It was $5 and was bigger than we thought it would be. They probably used cheap liquors. Even so, it was hard to tell though, so good job. Of course we also had to get the food special. It was a Taco Dinner. It was $10 for three small tacos. There was the choice of chicken, steak, or black beans and vegetables. My friend got the chicken. We got the vegetarian ones, and were pleased. Even though these were small, they were bigger than many of these mini tacos you find around here. They also were packed full of beans, lettuce, and pico de gallo, some good shit. Go here on a weekday to get better prices on drinks and food. It's also open on weekends for a club atmosphere where it's much busier and service is slower.
