So this is how you speak to a potential customer?? We have the right to know the process (step by step) which is being done to our driveway. So we were to pay him cash and not even know what they were about to do. I DON'T THINK SO !!!! Beware !! Please be careful when hiring this contractor. Get everything is writing!!!

After the pads were poured, he asked for a check for those pads, so I paid him. Therafter, he never showed up to do the mortaring of the stone edging. He did not return our many calls. Lesson learned: never pay a contractor until the job is finished. My husband and I took three solid days to finish the much more intricate work of mortaring the stones. Very disappointed in David Hess's work ethic and his failure to return our calls or finish the work.

Despite never hiring them myself, I was directly affected by their blatant disregard for private property. Without any request or permission, they began parking their equipment on my driveway--not at the end by the road, but up by my carport. They completely blocked access with a dump truck, then drove a steamroller across my lawn, right over my gas shutoff valve. As if that wasn't bad enough, they followed up by driving a pickup truck across the same area. This company showed absolutely no respect for my property, my safety, or common courtesy. My driveway was not your typical driveway job. I used to seal it regularly and it stayed in good…read moreshape. I knew it needed sealer 2 years ago and I didn't do it. Due to my own negligence, it started cracking and coming apart in many areas. The driveway started to heave so bad last winter that I could have used that crack for a wheel chock on the steepest part of my driveway. I knew I needed to do something this year before the whole thing just crumbled this winter. I saw Royal Pavings truck and read what services they provided. I called the number on the truck immediately. They came to my house and after some discussions we came to an agreement and they started work right away. This was going to be a multi step process due to the complexity of the repair, manufacturing defects of one of the products and an unforeseen event that took place. The coldpatch the contractor selected failed to set. Royal Paving followed the instructions as stated on the bag and the initial end result appeared to be good. It turned out to be a bad batch. Instead of getting a new batch of coldpatch. ( at no extra cost to me ) Royal Paving cut out the bad areas and put in full depth hot asphalt. An employee accidentally spilled diesel fuel on the freshly laid sealer and damaged the surface of the driveway. The driveway had to be cleaned and resealed a week later to allow some time for the area to stabilize after being cleaned. Once all the work was completed, it looks as if the Owner of Royal Paving did the job for his own home. It couldn't have come out better giving the condition of the driveway before they started the work. The Owner of the company was extremely professional and made sure the job wasn't done till the homeowner was completely satisfied with the work. I will be calling on this contractor again for future service. To the Owner, Thank you!
