I reached out to 3 different local independent insurance agencies and Walter Sheldon was attentive, proactive, highly available and was the easy choice to place my insurance needs. Geico has lost my trust after they unjustly charged a friend and neighbor of mine for $9.99 because…read morethey claimed that she terminated her auto policy 'in an inappropriate manner'. My neighbor had called before her policy ended and her new policy was to begin. She terminated her Geico policy because Geico raised her 6 month policy twice in 1 year to $1000 for 6 six months. She is 89 and lives on a small monthly pension and her driving record is clean with no traffic tickets and no accidents. Geico even threatened to send the collection agency after her, which would ruin her credit record over $9.99. So, if you are looking for auto insurance and you enjoy watching Geico commercials on television, make sure you ask about Geico's terminating policy before you purchase their auto protection. I wouldn't want anybody to agonize over unjust billing or to be threatened with a collection agency.

When I call numerous times and never get a call back ( message states she will call back within 24 hours ) only adds to my opinion that either the adjusters are overworked or lazy. Incorrect input of address was only one of the errors on the adjusters part. Lack of follow up shows that customer satisfaction is NOT a priority. Oh I forgot I am talking about the insurance industry, it's not about customers but Shareholders... my bad!! I would imagine that if a pay check was missed several weeks in a row that my adjuster wouldn't be too happy either! Enough said... this probably won't get to the correct site but I feel better for venting.

We don't always use Costco Travel (but I still highly recommend them if they have an itinerary that you like) but we do always buy trip insurance. There are other trip insurers, and Zurich's rate of 5% of trip cost is fairly typical, but I will always try to use them in the future if possible as they were very prompt and satisfactory on the processing of our trip delay claim. Due to Hurricane Idalia, our 9 day cruise trip was abruptly delayed by a day and our itinerary changed to an 8 day cruise. We had to quickly book a night's hotel in NYC as well as incur ride-share costs and extra paid meal costs. We also lost the value of a pre-paid transfer from airport to ship. I turned in all of these receipts and within a week, Zurich satisfactorily and without any fuss processed the total $555 claim. Thank you Zurich and you have found a new loyal customer!

I didn't know if I needed to make an appointment or if I could just walk in but I decided what the hell? I entered this very clean and well organized office and was promptly greeted by an older woman who made me feel right at home. I informed her I was interested in getting a quote for my auto and home. The woman walked me over to another gal, Shirley, who politely introduced herself and was more than willing to put together some pricing for me upon my arrival. I thought, for sure, I would have to run home to get her some more info but with today's technology, I was able to pull up my current coverage right on my phone and give her some info so she could compare apples to apples. We went through our auto policies, my home owners policy and I let her give me a quote for life insurance, as well. Shirley and I found that we both use Yelp and started talking about different spots the other one needs to try. We had a nice meeting and she informed me they are collecting Toys for Tots in their office. That made me pretty happy to see! I left feeling like I knew a little more about my current policies as well as more knowledge about my insurance options than I ever knew before. Shirley answered all of my questions and explained things in a manner I could actually understand. They're quotes were better than what we're currently paying and after years of working with an insurance agent I have never even met in person, I definitely want to do business with this State Farm agent and his friendly and helpful staff. Looking forward to making the change over, dealing with some incredibly nice people and meeting Scott in person. Check these guys out and ask for Shirley...she's awesome and knows her stuff!
