We don't always use Costco Travel (but I still highly recommend them if they have an itinerary that you like) but we do always buy trip insurance. There are other trip insurers, and Zurich's rate of 5% of trip cost is fairly typical, but I will always try to use them in the future if possible as they were very prompt and satisfactory on the processing of our trip delay claim. Due to Hurricane Idalia, our 9 day cruise trip was abruptly delayed by a day and our itinerary changed to an 8 day cruise. We had to quickly book a night's hotel in NYC as well as incur ride-share costs and extra paid meal costs. We also lost the value of a pre-paid transfer from airport to ship. I turned in all of these receipts and within a week, Zurich satisfactorily and without any fuss processed the total $555 claim. Thank you Zurich and you have found a new loyal customer!

I was off work on a weekday and in the midst of running a slew of errands, I decided to drop in to…read morethis new State Farm office. I didn't know if I needed to make an appointment or if I could just walk in but I decided what the hell? I entered this very clean and well organized office and was promptly greeted by an older woman who made me feel right at home. I informed her I was interested in getting a quote for my auto and home. The woman walked me over to another gal, Shirley, who politely introduced herself and was more than willing to put together some pricing for me upon my arrival. I thought, for sure, I would have to run home to get her some more info but with today's technology, I was able to pull up my current coverage right on my phone and give her some info so she could compare apples to apples. We went through our auto policies, my home owners policy and I let her give me a quote for life insurance, as well. Shirley and I found that we both use Yelp and started talking about different spots the other one needs to try. We had a nice meeting and she informed me they are collecting Toys for Tots in their office. That made me pretty happy to see! I left feeling like I knew a little more about my current policies as well as more knowledge about my insurance options than I ever knew before. Shirley answered all of my questions and explained things in a manner I could actually understand. They're quotes were better than what we're currently paying and after years of working with an insurance agent I have never even met in person, I definitely want to do business with this State Farm agent and his friendly and helpful staff. I called and emailed over and over, and they never got back to me, almost causing me to lose the mortgage! Luckily, I was able to find a competent agency last-minute to save the mortgage. Even worse, they never canceled my condo insurance, which I just found out several months later! They cost me tons of money! Get insurance literally anywhere else. They will end up costing you way more in the long run!
