In addition, during the shoot he said that he could take my arm out if I had it on my kiddo and when I reminded him of this later, he said that was considered a complex edit and would cost money but they'd do it complmenetary that time. Had he told me this at the time of the shoot, we would have done something differently to get photos without me there in the background. Not cool.

She gave me exactly one name: Kenny Kim. Now that our wedding is behind us, I understand why. Before the wedding I sent Kenny a PDF of our VIPs and didn't think much of it. He showed up to our rehearsal dinner already knowing every single person's name and face, and even noticed who hadn't made it yet. After chatting with our guests for just a few minutes on Friday, he was recalling little details about them on Saturday. That kind of care goes a long way. It makes people feel important, and it shows in the photos, because he understood the relationships between the people who matter most to us. He also found out my husband Andrew is a huge Illinois basketball fan. Kenny is an alum himself, and he arranged a surprise shoutout from a former Illini player for Andrew on our wedding day. And then there's the talent. Kenny's eye for the right shot is superb. He makes you so comfortable in front of the camera that you forget it's there, and that's exactly why he was able to capture who we really are as husband and wife on the best day of our lives. Kenny is an artist- besides framing a shot, he curates a story and that is what makes him different than other photographers. However, Lynzie was always so responsive and understanding throughout the changes we had to make. It took so much stress off our backs. Even the week before the wedding, we changed our timeline a bit and added some time to the day. While she was not available for our 2021 date, we had the absolute pleasure of working with Maria, G, and Randy. Together they were able to capture our wedding through photographs and video. We received the sneak peaks and the full gallery soo quickly! The photos left me completely speechless. I am so honored to have been able to have Bonphotage be apart of our day. These photos and videos will last us a lifetime and always remind us how perfect May 1, 2021 was. I would recommend Bonphotage 1000%!! Update April 2026* Updating to 3-stars I originally gave Bonphotage a 5 star review immediately following booking and our engagement photo session. The things I said were true up and we were happy at first. In hindsight I should've provided an updated review sooner brides have one chance to get this right so they should be making decisions off of comprehensive reviews. The engagement photos were great at first glance but they came out so grainy that when I tried uploading them to Minted for our save the dates, they were flagged as low-res when we received the prints they still looked unclear and we ended up having to redo/reorder our save the dates. Lynzie insisted this level of grain was normal for film, but my photographer friend who I went to for advice disagreed (also I have eyes). At this point she also informed us that she was not able to shoot our wedding, but we ended up working it out and met Serena who reshot our engagement photos in digital and also shot our wedding whom we enjoyed working with. We were generally content with the wedding gallery, but the editing was inconsistent it looked like there was a preset/filter applied across the board, which she denied doing. There was some back and forth and she adjusted a few specific ones that I requested, but by this point I just didn't care anymore as I was just so over it as most brides are by the time their wedding is over. At this premium price point I just expected better quality.
