I am re-posting my original post that I deleted on January 17, 2019 after speaking with Jeff over the phone for over an hour. Jeff told me that if I deleted my yelp review he would consider editing my wedding video to fix all the issues listed below in my original yelp review. I removed the yelp review immediately and thanked him for his consideration. I reached out to Jeff several times since January 17, 2019 and tonight I finally received his response that stated "I cannot calculate the possible damages to my name. Therefore, there is no consideration left". Jeff's reasoning being "with you commenting on yelp, without contacting me at all in a short time after delivery, posting such a long complaint, all of which could have been corrected". Yet Jeff never reached out to me to follow up about the video either. Clearly Jeff knew this was going to be the decision all along but gave me hope that just turned into disappointment again.
Please see my original review below. I stand by my original review, I do not recommend jeff.
My husband and I got married August 23, 2016 at Chevy Chase country club. We had a beautiful wedding so I was very excited to watch the wedding video. I was extremely disappointed by the quality and unprofessionalism from Jeff. The video starts off with Jeff's name on the screen with an outdated purple PowerPoint looking screen. I know Jeff wants credit for making the wedding video but the wedding is about me and my husband not Jeff. This could have waited until the end (this returns at the end as well), it didn't need it to be the first thing I seen on our wedding video. Then the video starts recording my husbands aunt saying how she doesn't want to be on the video saying anything. I don't understand why Jeff included that's when she said she did not want to be on the video, and on top of that it is the first thing at the beginning of the video. Then Jeff has my husband say a message for me which was very sweet, I really appreciated that. However I don't know why Jeff didn't have me say a message to my husband? I feel like this was a missed opportunity that I wish was included in the video yet it was not. Then Jeff records my bridesmaids and I getting ready in the bridal suite. He left the audio on in the bridal suite so you can hear my sister and friend having a conversation about her leggings (The brand, where and when she purchased them, etc.) and other random conversations among my bridesmaids. This is completely unprofessional and unacceptable. It is absolutely awful and should have played music in the background because it awkward and really very odd. Especially considering my husband and I sent him 10 of our favorite songs and he only used three. I don't understand why Jeff didn't use music in the background to cover the background conversations in the bridal suite. This is very unprofessional and awkward. Now I have to spend more money and time to find someone to add music to my wedding video (if this is even possible). The quality of the videotaping is awful it looks like the video was taken on an iPhone. In addition, he was in the background of a lot of our wedding photos which is awkward and unprofessional as well. Later during the Ketubah signing, my mom and grandmother were talking and I was getting visibly upset. I wish Jeff would have paused the video so that we could have all regrouped or put music over me telling them to shut up. Not that this is required of him I just feel it would have been common courtesy to stop the video and redo this portion. It is very unprofessional and Jeff should have intervened to improve the quality of the video, since it is our wedding. I watched the video recently with my friends and they were laughing the whole time. They could not believe that this is our wedding video which is extremely embarrassing. I do not recommend Jeff as a videographer. Yes he is cheap but you get what you pay for. I am very disappointed with the wedding video and don't plan to watch it for a long time, if ever. read more
