Ok, so I was stalking Lilly Photography before I ever even met my husband - Jiho's work speaks for itself. He has a unique and creative style that is unlike anyone else. His photos are just beautiful. I found his page through my friend's facebook page (she is a florist and owner of Avant Gardenia). I seriously told myself that when I was lucky enough to meet the right guy to marry - I would book Lilly Photography for sure. The day finally arrived and I was beyond excited to finally be able to discuss the photography with Jiho. Both my husband and I were already sold on his work, but we loved his personality when we met him. Jiho was very comfortable to work with - he's professional, funny, and down-to-earth. His price was extremely reasonable - he offers a good price-range for different budgets. I highly recommend getting your engagement photos with him because it will allow you to get a feel for what angles you and your spouse like of yourselves and it also gets you comfortable in front of the camera and with Jiho. By the time our wedding day came along, we already felt like Jiho was a friend so we were very relaxed. Our wedding party loved him too. I have nothing but positive things to say about working with Lilly Photography. In fact, if I had anything bad to say, it would be that we should have had him do our engagement photos and splurged on the second shooter for the wedding day. It would have been money well spent! We are both really pleased with the photos that we have and the work that Jiho did. When he suggests you set aside a couple hours to do the "first look" - do it! It was really relaxing to wander around the park with just our small band, chatting, coming up with ideas, and it shows in the photos. I worked with Jiho for my wedding at Greenhouse Loft in Chicago on 11/2/19. Everything with Jiho was great from start to finish. A co-worker who loved her wedding photos recommended him to me. From my initial email on, Jiho was always responsive and provided very thoughtful answers to questions throughout the process. He gave really helpful advice about how to structure the day for photos and also looked out for my budget advising me when it wasn't worth spending more money on something. On the day of - Jiho was ON POINT. He was able to take a ton of pictures throughout the day super efficiently to make sure we got everything we wanted. We did getting ready photos and the first look at one location, and then took wedding party photos at 4 different locations throughout the Logan Square area before the wedding. We then took photos with different family and friend groups before and after the ceremony. He was able to direct a ton of people very quickly and keep the day moving. Above all else - his pictures were STUNNING. We talked a lot about the style I was looking for and they turned out exactly as I wanted. It's hard to know where to start with Jiho Park. Full disclosure, he's been a friend of mine for years, but I never had the opportunity to work with him and his photography business until my wedding day. He was kind enough to travel to Massachusetts in the dead of winter, and he made everyone involved comfortable and provided a ton of laughs. He's so skilled at what he does that you never worry about what he's going to do or how he's doing it. He joked around with our wedding party during photos and got a ton of wonderful pictures with genuine smiles and laughter from everyone. My husband and I commented after the wedding that neither one of us had any idea where he was during the ceremony - he was a total ninja! He got so many amazing candid shots of us and our loved ones, it's going to be impossible not to order prints of every single picture. I'm not good at being serious, so most of the pictures of me are ridiculous and goofy, and they're perfect. I don't know how he knows where to be to get the perfect picture at the exact right moment, but he does. And it's incredible. After he published a few teaser photos, people were swooning over the artistic genius of the photos' composition. And then when he released them all to share with our guests, people couldn't stop saying wonderful things about them - and even a month after our wedding, people are STILL texting me just to say they looked through the photos again and felt like they were reliving the day all over again. I will cherish these photos forever, and we can't thank Jiho enough for the wonderful experience we all had with him. We interviewed numerous photographers for our wedding. Jiho certainly stood out as he has an amazing eye and seemed much more likely to capture that 'wow' photograph of the wedding day. When we broke down the numbers most were in a very tight price range, after to compare apples-to-apples packages and pricing. Don't forget to include the extras like photo album or some of the what seem to be cheaper photographers quickly become more expensive. Jiho was extremely professional, not overly pushy but also knew how to direct a wedding party when needed - which from my experience is a necessary skill that not all photographers have. Jiho provided many suggestions but ultimately made sure we captured the day and important moments we wanted. Definitely take advantage of having your wedding photographer shoot your engagement photos if you can. I recently shot my engagement pictures with Jihu and I am so happy with the final product! Jihu was amazing to work with from the very beginning of me reaching out to inquire about his work. Unfortunately, due to the weather forecast the day of our pictures we had to make the decision of rescheduling. Don't Hire Kristina! This is not a reflection on Jiho, rather, Kristina was our photographer. My only daughter was married in September and I am divorced from her father. This momentous occasion can't be explained as my nerves and emotions runneth over. Unfortunately, Kristina had a difficult time understanding the family members. In the end I didn't have a photo with my children that didn't include my ex-husband. My daughter had photos taken off site and Kristina took a photo and show cased the photo to my daughter and son-in-law. Unfortunately, this photo wasn't included in the photos we received. Fortunately, Jiho located it for us when I went back to ask for it. Also, we have no photos of our guests at the reception. Apparently, this is something that has to be requested. I think Kristina would be fine as a portrait photographer, but definitely not for weddings. D read more

We hired Jiho after an extensive search for our July 2012 wedding. We love the photos he took. Though his email communications can be a bit curt, his attention on the job is 100%. He took beautiful pictures of our beautiful day. He was good spirited, on task, kept things rolling, and got done what needed to be done. And the shots turned out beautifully. We love architecture and chose him because we felt like he could best showcase our event with the backdrop of this gorgeous city we live in and love (and made everyone trek to to celebrate with us!) - he delivered as promised. My now wife and I went through countless websites, looked at hundreds of pictures and were just not finding that look we were hoping for. As my "fiance" was sharing our photography frustrations with a friend she instantly said she attended a wedding where Jiho from Lilly Photography was the photographer and that they were some of the most amazing wedding pictures she had ever seen. As she was going on and on about how great Jiho was, in our heads we were thinking "yeah right, just like all the other recommendations". Boy were we ever wrong! AS soon as we looked at his website we knew we needed Jiho. We set up a phone meeting and loved everything he had to say, his vision and work was exactly what we were looking for. We would have said yes during that meeting, but didn't want to seem desperate, we were going to play it cool! We didn't actually meet Jiho until our engagement pictures that fall and as soon as we met him we knew it was the perfect match. We spent a few hours with him and this really allowed us to get to know him, while at the same time he got to learn what we were comfortable doing and what would and wouldn't work when it came to the big day. Our engagement pictures blew us away and we just couldn't wait until our wedding because we knew he would capture it just the way we wanted. From the start to the finish of our wedding day we couldn't have asked for more from a photographer. We worked with both Jiho and Missy and they were the perfect team when it came to getting the job done. We had one last phone meeting prior to the wedding to go over all the details, while thinking in the back of our minds that something was going to go wrong, that it always does. Were we wrong again! Jiho ran the day like a true pro, he did not miss one moment, created amazing memories and fulfilled all of our wedding picture wishes. When the day sadly came to an end, Jiho stole us away for a few nighttime shots before making his exit when we frantically realized that we never took the obligatory aunt/uncle/cousin pictures. Jiho stayed and made sure every picture was taken and that he left us as happy as he found us that morning. Most people sit around for the next few weeks just hoping that there are a few good pictures that came of a day filled special moments. Little did we know, we would wake up the next day to see pictures of us had already been edited and posted and we were in disbelief on how amazing they looked! As excited as we were to see a sneak peak it was such a tease because we couldn't wait to see more! The wait was well worth it because the 1,000+ pictures that we received a few weeks later was filled with one picture that was more amazing than the next. It was near impossible to just pick a few for our album! My wife was now officially become obsessed with Jiho and knew we needed more pictures and so a short 3 months after our wedding we booked a family photo session (a Christmas gift to her parents) and spent another great afternoon with him. I went to a few meetings with 3 other photographers and it just wasn't a good fit. I was up one night searching online and came across Lilly Photography's website. Jiho is absolutely amazing, and created magical wedding photos for us! He was great to work with throughout the entire planning phase up to the day of our wedding. He's also a trooper and goes with the flow. For example, the day of our engagement shoot happened to be one of the coldest days of the year and he did not once complain of being cold while we spent hours outdoors taking pictures! In fact, we were the ones who couldn't take the cold anymore! Also, on the day of our wedding, it rained, but he was able to capture photos where you couldn't even tell that it was raining! We hired Lilly Photography to photograph our wedding on October 26, 2013. Lilly Photography lost our "traditional" wedding photos (of my wife and I in the church) and almost any and all pictures of our families and wedding parties. Apparently a memory card failed or was corrupted even though we explicitly paid for and hired two shooters to avoid such a situation. Therefore, I would NOT recommend Lilly Photography. I would like nothing more than to have photos of my wife and I in the church or photos of myself and my elderly grandparents/families on our big day...This is deeply disappointing, hurtful and regretful to this day - even a year later. While Jiho describes the situation below as "one of the most horrible situations that can happen to a wedding photographer," I can assure you that this statement applies 100 times more to a bride and groom....because it was our photos that were lost, not the photographer's. Again, we do not have a single picture of our families on our wedding day. There is a considerable amount of detail left out of this review. Jiho of Lilly Photography documented my sisters wedding date on 2/22/20 and I couldn't have been more impressed with his work. Jiho has a really easy going, fun personality, which is essential when you're working with a wedding photographer. (It's hard to feel comfortable with a stiff photographer!) A friend of mine booked Lilly Photography to shoot her engagement shots and her wedding. A few months before I was engaged she shared the link of her engagement pictures shot by Jiho. They were incredible. Within a week that my now husband and I were engaged we were discussing the type of pictures that we wanted for our wedding & engagement pictures. I showed him Lilly Photography's facebook albums and after about 4 minutes we knew that we had to book Lilly Photography for our wedding and engagement shots. Jiho did not disappoint. We took our engagement shots at the end of April in Chicago. Jiho was very professional and friendly. We loved the end result of our engagement shots. Months after posting some of the sneak peek pictures on Facebook, people were still telling me how much they loved our engagement shots. They pictures were that memorable. I've also had several people ask me for his information to inquire about booking Lilly Photography for their wedding or engagement shots. My response is, here is the info and yes book him asap. Jiho and Missy both take amazing shots. They are starting to get more well known now. My thought is, if you are deciding between photographers, go with your gut and just book Lilly Photography. He did amazing work with all the candid and "posed" shots. I was crossing my fingers that he was able to capture just a handful of good pictures to hang up at home. When I saw he proofs I was amazed. As a photographer myself, having the best photographer for my own family photos is extremely important to me. I discovered Jiho's work when he photographed several weddings of friends of mine, and was blown away by his uniquely creative eye, and his clean, beautiful edits. I actually love his work so much, that we travel from out of state yearly for Jiho to take our family photos, for three years now. We loved working with Jiho and Stephanie. They captured our day perfectly. Through out the day they used their creativity and made us feel comfortable. I honestly don't remember how I found Jiho and Lilly Photography, but once I did, I knew he was "the one" (photography-wise, at least). His images are compelling, beautiful, and unique -- but they feel classic, timeless -- not trendy. My husband is Mr. Bottom Line, Mr. The-Whole-Wedding-Industry-Is-A-Racket, so he was pleased with the price -- fit our budget and you really do get a lot of bang for your buck. Jiho is also just a super personable, nice, funny guy. So I haven't said anything specific about the engagement/wedding photos yet, but really, they speak for themselves. I've gotten many compliments, from friends near and far, old and new (thanks, facebook!). I know of at least 2 friends who have hired Jiho for their weddings, and one that has hired him for a family photo session. I can't wait to see how all of those turn out!
