I have used them twice now-once - planned and once - unplanned. First service was to clear dryer vent since it had not been done in the 8 yrs (new install) I have owned the home (my bad). David cleared it, tested the air flow and everything worked fine. Advised of a future need which would be a warranty item thus a little more cost and time to complete. Second service - 2.5 mos later late on a Friday, the dryer went into a full alert due to high pressure and shut itself off (built-in safety mechanism). I contacted the company that evening baffled as to why and when could they send someone to inspect it. They responded late that evening that David would arrive first thing Monday morning. He arrived on time - checked the airflow which was fine but the alert was still active. So David went into the crawl space to inspect the duct system and behold it was bad and dangerous (from 8 yrs ago) - flex duct which was easily 3X the length required, 2" vs 4" piping in/out of crawl space using pvc piping, compromised flex duct in the laundry room causing dust to settle around and behind the washer and dryer units - not evident in the open area. It was all incorrectly installed and ultimately dangerous to my home. I was fortunate that I had never suffered a fire. He quoted me a repair and 4 days later he was onsite resetting the whole duct system. Ran into a problem with ducting into the crawl space, dispatched a couple of his guys to come and assist and the work was done in 3 hours, space cleaned and everything tested and the alert was resolved. Pricing was acceptable. I will definitely engage them again if and when necessary. Thanks

Yes, the dryer vents got cleaned, but they did so much more.  The honesty and integrity of the company were top notch. I like how they take their time to survey the entire system and provide a written estimate upfront of exactly what you will pay if you want them to complete the job. Even before we got to the estimate, they walked me through the entire system and told me everything they saw with pictures.  So the connection to my dryer had become unhooked and was spraying lint all over the laundry room. Some of it had mixed with water or detergent and was caked onto the floor. I assume they usually do a standard cleanup but when it's really caked on like this, I thought they wouldn't get it clean. They got it spotless! They scraped it off the floor on hands and knees and did multiple rounds of cleaning until it looked brand new. That alone really impressed me.  Then they cleaned the vents and hooked the dryer back up. When I bought my dryer the professional installation guys were not able to hook it up properly for a lot of reasons they gave me. They used a lot of tape to kind of get it hooked up in there. I was really hoping Dryer Vent Wizard could hook it up properly but had my doubts. Well, they did and it was not easy. They had to make some modifications to an obstruction in the way and after that, it hooked up perfectly and now the dryer fits into the space exactly how it should and the connection is solid!  Lastly, they pointed out a few ways the first installation company did not properly hookup the vents, I had them fix one and am aware of the other for the future.  All in all my dryer situation is so much improved over what it was before. I am so completely satisfied with the work, I highly recommend this company and will certainly be using them again in the future

I was not satisfied with the DVW -- primarily because of up charging and failure to do what the…read morecompany promised when offering me service. I advised that my dryer had been inspected by an appliance repair service and another dryer vent company within the month -- both said my dryer was fine...I just needed my vent cleaned. DVW told me that they would provide vent cleaning without their standard inspection. They said their normal vent cleaning fee was between $169 and $285 unless something else was discovered. I agreed to proceed. The DVW representative showed me and estimate of $254 for vent cleaning, $59 dollar inspection fee, and $49 to clean my already clean lint trap. I objected to the inspection fee and showed the technician my communication from DVW and he agreed to only discount the inspection fee by $36. I paid the DVW $326 which I believe was price gouging. If money is no object to you...DVW may be your best choice. As far as I can tell their cleaning service was good. Personally, I was not happy with their business practices.
