Love this style of clothing. I went on my birthday. I only got one shirt but if I went back I would definitely get more.

My favorite store! It's expensive but the quality is there and they have a great sale section.

Madewell has always been a store I passed in the Oxmoor mall, not because I didn't like it but…read morebecause I knew nothing about it. I decided to come in and try it out on my most recent visit, and I have come to like it. The clothing definitely seems to be more geared around 20-30 year olds, and has a trendy/hipster feel to it. The clothing looks like it is good quality and comes with a moderate price tag. While primarily clothes, they also have a big wall of shoes in the back and even a little section for gifts. I could definitely see myself visiting this place more often.

Madewell is unlike any major retail store I've visited, and that's a nice thing! It strikes the…read moreright chord of whimsy, cozy, and quality with a variety of well-made jeans, roomy tops, and trinket-like accessories. It has strong undertones of J. Crew, and after my first visit to the place, I looked up the Madewell company to learn more. Sure enough, it is owned by the same parent company, but differentiates itself with a more muted color palette, edgier silhouettes, and a more relaxed feel overall. If these sister stores were real-life sisters, J. Crew would be the color-coordinated, perfectly-put-together preppy sister, while Madewell would be subtler, more eclectic, and with a dry sense of humor. The store itself was a treat to visit. Visually, it's clean and uncluttered, with cream-colored walls and abundant bright lighting. The fresh smell of the unfinished pine floors was one of the first things I noticed when I walked through the threshold, and it was a welcoming invitation to check out more of what the place had to offer. And -- intentional or not -- employees are easy to find but not up in your face as you browse. I used to work in retail so I understand how it's important to greet your guests in the store. As a shopper, though, I often like to meander and discover on my own, but with someone available to answer any questions. I left with a pair of jeans that fit me well, and whose dark wash works with most of the clothes in my closet. They've broken in well over the past few weeks and haven't faded despite going through the laundry. So, check out Madewell, and you may find that it's one of your own new favorite places to visit in the 'ville!

The settings, the attention to detail and the stones are so much higher quality than the ones in the Mall and the local Jewelers who claim to have the best. I wanted to find a Jade and gold ring and I was visually stunned by what Laura showed me. She knew my budget and what I wanted to spend I am so pleased and the compliments that I get on the stone and the ring are never-ending. If you are looking for a quality jewelry investment please go in and just look at their offerings you will be Amazed. They have engagement rings from the Art Deco period some of these look like they were Gatsby's himself.

Laura asked how she could help me. A well-dressed customer came in and Laura asked her mother to address the client. I was asking about value and assessment on a number of jewelry pieces for my family heirs and insurance purposes, cost of valuation, and getting 3 assessments. When Laura pulled my necklace out of the jewelry box, she broke the chain. She handed my now broken necklace back to me, saying it broke when she was taking it out. Laura then left me and went to the new customer and got out her assessed platinum bracelet. Laura looked at me and loudly and rudely said we are not buying anything, at least twice. She said I should sit and wait. Laura did not offer to fix my now broken 25 yr+ Designer Arabic gold necklace. I felt as if I were being snubbed. Customer service is poor in this little shop.
