This was our first time here. We really enjoyed it! The food was good and the staff were friendly. We will definitely be back with the rest of the family!

So good! Hadn't been in a few years but was glad to see that Dry Dock was nice and crowded. The fish was great and the biscuits are something else. Overall everything had great flavor, and the staff were all super friendly. Can't wait to return!

This place was really good or service was great all the staff members were smiling and friendly. The food was hot and perfectly seasoned the seafood is truly Calabash murrells inlet style, that means lightly breaded and quickly fried. I will say that the salad bar is a little basic, and it is the first time I've ever seen canned mushrooms on a salad bar, but it was fresh salad and good iceberg lettuce only. you could have easily thought you were at a buffet in murrells inlet are Calabash the seafood was very good.

They had rice, Brunswick stew, peas, collard greens, bread stuffing, sweet potatoes, baked chicken, fried chicken, breaded pork chops, macaroni and cheese, and fried pork rinds. Corn bread, and slices of cake ( red velvet, carrot, lemon, chocolate , are in a separate area.) I had a piece of the baked and the fried chicken. Both were salty, dried out tough, even though the place only opened 40 minutes before I got there. I liked the cornbread and the sweet potato. I chose this place based on its high yelp rating , leaving the interstate . It's the first time yelp failed me.

I guess this is why most of these places are condemned. It was sad to see what was clearly once a vibrant little town.

The lady who helped us was the sweetest! She helped us look through the menu and take our order and when our food was ready, she brought it out to us while we waited in the car because it was cold ! And she told my bf that she didn't know where we went (because we were still dressed in our wedding guest attire lol) but she said we looked so good together. lol she was so sweet. I got the dark meet bbq chicken and it tasted very lemon peppery which wasn't bad. The chicken was moist and cooked perfectly. I also got green beans, sweet potato soufflé and fried corn. Everything was cooked well, the sweet potatoes had like brown sugar cinnamon something on it and made it really sweet but it was toasty at top so gave it a nice crunch. The corn was so good but I do hate cob cuz it gets stuck in my teeth. If I'm ever around, I'd def go again.

The staff was very friendly, the service was good...I had takeout but the restaurant is a buffet inside. It clearly is a place the locals enjoy and it is an easy stop if you are on the way to the beach. All in all, my favorite was actually the hot dog. The chili was excellent and the slaw had just a touch of sweetness. The BBQ was well prepared, just not my favorite style or taste profile...a bit too much twang. I would recommend Shuler's if you are in the area and look forward to trying other items the next time I return.

If you go in the front door there are a few steps to climb. If you need flat entrances they are around back. The host took us to our seats and explained the buffet to us. It is only a buffet place. But you can order a take out as well. There were two tables of food and a dessert table. The salad bar seemed to never end. Everything was cut fresh with no limp vegetables or lettuce. Marilyn brought me coffee and Bev Tea. It was plenty hot and fresh. I absolutely love their coffee. I had two cups before I even finished my plate of food. Marilyn was very attentive to each table and came to ours often. After I finished my salad. I saw Carie filling a plate for someone. When she was done I asked her if she could get me a chicken breast. My joint pain and back pain had been extreme this week. Using the walker was even painful. Carie said, "Absolutely !" She returned quickly and with a smile. The staff is so kind. The manager Tommy came by our table to see how we were enjoying our meal. I let him know the salad bar was perfect. The chicken I enjoyed was tender and juicy. I also noticed the teamwork between the staff was easy and natural like a choreographed dance. Bev and I plan to return for the Easter Sunday Meal. Luckily I saw a packed place on Mr. Joe White Avenue called Simply Southern Smokehouse. Place looked legit and had a full parking lot so I pulled in. There is only one way in and once you get in, the cashier is on the right with the $15 all you can eat buffet right next to it. The $15 also included all you can drink soft drinks, water and sweet tea. I paid my money and grabbed a plate and ran right up to the buffet. They start out light with vegetables and sides, working up to the main courses of fried chicken, fried fish, pulled pork, smoked chicken and some hot wings. After that, they had some mac & cheese, and then the desserts which was blueberry cobbler, peach cobbler, homemade banana pudding...and a couple of other things. I started off with some broad beans, stewed okra and tomatoes, smoked chicken and hot wings. I brought my plate and my silverware to an empty table, which was getting hard to find as the place was so packed and then went up to fetch me a glass of water to wash it down with. They serve Pepsi products and of course sweet tea but I was going to save my calories for dessert. The place was clean, well lit and the seating was well designed with booths along the wall and tables in the center... and plenty of room between the tables. Once seated I dug right in. The broad beans were excellent. Done right and full of flavor. The stewed tomatoes and okra, although cook correctly was a bit bland for my liking. The smoked chicken was excellent and I used a bit of the golden SC BBQ sauce on it...great...and homemade. The hot wings were the real deal meaty and moist with a nice kick. I finished the plate in about five minutes. Time for round two. On my second trip up, I put some collard greens, lima beans, a piece of fried chicken and a piece of fried fish on the fresh plate. As I sat down to eat, I put a bit of hot vinegar sauce on the collard greens and dug in. The collards were excellent and the homemade vinegar hot sauce gave it a bit of a kick and bite. The Lima beans were soft and loaded with flavor. I then moved on to the fried chicken, which was cooked correctly with the skin crispy and well battered and the meat moist on the inside. That said, it was bland. Given how well the beans were seasoned I was surprised. Same thing with the fish, but they had a real good house sauce for it which gave it a nice flavor and saved it, but overall both the fried chicken and the fried fish were bland. I then went up for a plate number three and realized I was not gonna be able to eat anymore mains, which was a shame since the pulled pork looked great... It will have to wait for the next time I come. I did, however leave a bit of room for dessert and I'm glad I did . The banana pudding was delicious with a full banana taste and 'Nilla wafers on top and bottom adding a bit of crunch. I only had enough room for one of the cobbler so I chose peach and it did not disappoint. Nice and warm with a sweet peach flavor and tasty crumbles. I wanted more but controlled myself. As I got up to leave, I placed five dollars on the table for the cleanup guy who was hustling and keeping the place neat and tidy. I then looked around and noticed this was a real local spot full of people from Myrtle Beach. You have families, elderly people, young people, construction workers and people from local businesses. For $15 it cannot be beat. Not only will I be back again but I plan on bringing some of my friends from up north who are going to love this place...plus I gotta try that pulled pork and Mac and cheese...if the fried chicken and fish have more seasoning, I'll up them to 5 stars.
