The one for big kids was slightly dirty and run down. It also had a lot of spider webs. I also wish the playground had an enclosed gate but there are two huge openings. There's a lot of picnic tables, bbq pits, a bathroom and trash cans around. Plenty of shade for those hot summer days and parking in the residential neighborhood as well. I think they can do a better job at keeping the area clean -- that' was my biggest ick.

It's kind of hidden and tucked away next to a middle or elementary school. There's a small parking lot and a bathroom too. What sets this playground apart from others is - it makes me think of Disneyland! The way the structures were made, so fun, colorful and bright! Lots of interactive and sensory opportunities here too, including the instruments, shaded sand pits and more. I love how much shade there is. All parks should have this, but sadly they don't. Most of the area is gated. However, for the older kids, the gate was open to a busy street.. I didn't like that. There were also a lot of spider webs. I wonder if there's any regularly scheduled maintenance done here. If there isn't, that's something worth looking into. Other than that - 10 out of 10 great park!

All of the picnic tables were great for snack or lunch and the bathrooms were impeccably clean. The entrance is like walking through a castle to a whole new world gated inside. It was clean, grassy, huge and open spaces with different areas to play for the kids. There are benches and picnic tables everywhere too. They also have restrooms on site too. Lots of grassy and shady areas to hang out as well. There's a handful of them including a tea cup/ tea pot area, train station and train, pirate ship, pumpkin carriage and more. Our personal favorite; the tea cup with the connected slide, so fun!! My family and I easily spent two hours here. You can also book some spots for parties. I highly recommend checking out the GVRD's website. Theres shaded gazebos and many picnic tables. They even have story time and other events here. Theres a parking lot available and hours as well. They are closed on Tuesdays. 100 out of 10 recommend this park.

They have two sand volleyball pits, public bathroom, lots of picnic tables, lots of green grass and lots of trees. There's also a trail for hiking and it's dog friendly. We threw down a blanket and took a catnap in the shade under the trees and when my dog got bored, we watched the volleyballers battle it out a ways away. They have a decent sized parking lot available, with additional parking in a smaller lot just up the road closer to the baseball diamond.

They have little gumball type machines that you can buy feed to feed the animals for 25 cents. TrainTown has a few other rides as well, including a toddler-friendly roller coaster! There's also a boat ride that spins and goes from side to side, a carousel, a merry go round, a ferris wheel, and others. Parking was easy to find even though the lot isn't huge. I like this place because they do not have an entry ticket and you can pay per ride. The train ride is fun and you see waterfalls, real and fake animals, bridges etc. Take some quarters as they are handy if your kid wants to feed the animals (the train driver has change as well) Some rides are scarier than they look, so make sure you check before sending your kid. They have kids running the rides and they do a good job - sometimes there aren't enough operators and you have to wait. There isn't a lot of food options there so take snacks if you need them!
