I took two comforters in to be dry cleaned My dog threw up on one. I picked them up on a Wednesday and went to put one on my bed Friday. The dog throw up stain is STILL there and my blanket stinks? I just read many of the customer reviews and the theme of poor customer service and rudness have been mentioned since as early as 2013. Like many people who wrote negative reviews our family has been going there for over a decade. My son took his pants in to be hemmed. He said that they were fine and the cleaning process ripped out the hem. He asked for them to fix the pants, telling them when he dropped them off that Dry Clean City didn't do the original hem. They were dropped off on Oct. 24 and he told them that he needed them back by Oct. 30th. When I went to pick them up this morning I was told that the manager looked at them and said that they weren't going to do anything because they didn't do the original hem. The pants sat there for a week, no phone call and no communication with him at all. No communication is another reoccuring theme in the reviews on-line. When I tried talking to the girl at the desk she kept talking over me, rolling her eyes and turned away from our conversation when "she had enough." As she talked over me I neded to raise my voice. Her response was that I didn't have t been rude. I told her that I was not being rude but she was not understanding or even listening to what was being said. I was telling her that paying for the repair was not the issue, the fact that they didn't do the original hem was not the issue, the fact that they did absolutly nothing over the course of a week was not the issue and her horrible attitude was not the issue. The issue was that we needed the pants by tomorrow and they sat wrinkled on a hanger at their store with no communication with the customer and no concern about making it right. My son later received a call from a person at the store who abruptly said, "Do you want the pants fixed? And are you going to pay us the 6 bucks to fix it or what?" He told them that of course he would pay but it will be the last time our family of four walks in there. They didn't seemed concerned about losing us. It must be nice not to have to worry about treating people nicely or keeping them as customers. read more

Folks complaining here want small talk or chit chat and rank the service low because the folks there don't do that. They even admit the work is great, which it is! I give them five stars. They lost my dress pants!!!! Owner said I must wait a month to see if they turn up. He said maybe someone will realize they have an extra pair of pants and return them. Ha, yea that's not cool. Currently waiting on my reimbursement for the pants. I would 100% NOT recommend this place. read more

It's very rare for me to feel strongly one way or another enough about a place to write a review, but I have had the absolute worst customer service interaction every single time I have been here for years and I needed to voice my opinion in hopes that management will take notice. Literally every single time I have been here, the same girl that is always working has NEVER ONCE greeted me with a single word...no hello, hi, good morning, mere smile, nothing! In fact, she acts like I am annoying her by even walking in to drop off or pick up my clothes. I hand her my tickets to pick up, she gets the clothes, and hangs them up and walks away. LITERALLY NO WORDS EXCHANGED. You can't says thanks? Have a good day? Their dry cleaning service is fine, same quality as any other cheap dry cleaning place, but their customer service is seriously the absolute worst that I can remember ever experiencing anywhere. Done with them. This place is a mess. Sucked into their vortex with low prices. After the damages to my clothes (broken buttons, torn shirts, ripped hems)...I am convinced they take my clothes down to the river and beat them on rocks. They will do nothing to help and really make you feel like whatever happened was your fault. As of now, I wouldn't take my clothes to them if was FREE. read more

Please please please stay as far away from this place as you can!!!! Have you ever walked into a retail store or fast food place, be treated horribly the whole time, then when you leave you say "thank you" and they grunt as you leave, and as your leaving think, "What the hell am I thanking them for?" Well, welcome to Dry clean city ! I've actually been here twice. The first time I chalked their rudeness, ignorance and overall horrible attitude to a bad day. This last time I cannot ignore. If there is a good rating on yelp about them it is absolutely done by them because anyone I know that has been to this place has the same experience. Customer service is non existent. Actually they must take a course in just exactly how Not to treat people! Attitude starts at the top so I'm guessing the owner either does not know how to treat people or just doesn't give a sh!t! Don't offer same day service if the clothing won't be available. You get what you pay for. It may be $1.95/item but don't expect those items to be clean and don't expect to get them on time (or at all)...only 3 of my 4 items were ready for pick up today and those 3 items I brought home are still dirty and wrinkled. I'm sure my fourth will come back the same. I'd rather pay the extra money and go somewhere else that does their job right the first time. Staff is rude and will just ignore you when you walk in and give you attitude about their mistakes. read more

1-31-19: THE VOORHEES LOCATION OF DRY CLEAN CITY IS OPEN FOR BUSINESS. I stopped-in today and picked-up my latest batch of cleaning. I was welcomed by both employees at the counter, as soon as I entered the store. One employee was on a business call and the other indicated that he could help me. I told him about them being listed as "Permanently Closed" on this website and he said that no, they were open. This employee took my tickets and went off to locate my items. When the other employee finished her phone call, I told her of the listing I saw on your site that said that they were permanently closed. She was shocked and said that that explained a lot; as she motioned towards the empty automated clothes racks. They are obviously hurting for business as was evident by all the space on their automated clothes racks. I have been coming here for the past four years and could not be happier with the customer service and their professional dry cleaning. I recently had a pocket flap on a jacket/blazer repaired, as the seam failed and it had become loose from the jacket. They repaired it very neatly for me and it looks as good as new. This was always a very busy store. They would have customers lined-up to the doors waiting to be waited on. Today there was no line and another customer came into the store as I was leaving. Not only is this a bad dry cleaners, this is an extremely unprofessional business. Employees damaged multiple shirts and tried to convince me that it was my fault. After I asked the employees to correct the damage, they laughed in my face and threatened me. I will no longer frequent this establishment and I suggest you do the same! read more

Extremely poor customer service!! They ruined my shirt. I spoke with the General Manager, Nick. He told me he would research the matter and call me back. A week and a half later, no call. I eventually went to the store to see what could be done. They offered me a less than customer friendly option. The owner came from out of the back. I assumed the owner would step in to resolve the matter and handle it with better care. The exact opposite. He was rude and offered absolutely no solution. When I mentioned how disappointed I was with the customer experience. His response was 'BYE' as if to say - see ya, we don't need your business. That sent a strong signal to me that I will no longer give them my business. So long. If they treat me this way, I'm sure they'll do the same to you if ever you run into problem. So I'd advise you to stay away. There are other low cost dry cleaners out there with much better customer service because this one SUCKS!!!! read more

Avoid, avoid. My new cloth coat was ruined when the cleaners pulled threads out creating a hole in the outer shell that exposed the lining. I noticed it immediately when I picked it up, but the girl at the desk said she couldn't do anything about it. She brought over the manager who said he must contact the owner about what to do. Two weeks and three phone calls later, I go to the store and the manager hands me back the coat with no apology only a nasty note pinned to the coat that exclaimed, "DON'T THINK SO!" I don't think the owner ever heard of customer service. He ruined my coat and then offered me nothing but an insult. He's irresponsible and unaccountable, not to mention probably flaunting work rules. Did he bother to ask his mostly immigrant staff if they can legally work in the U.S.? Is he paying that staff in accordance with min. wage rules? If law enforcement officials checked the answer might be, "I don't think so!" read more
