The parking lot was already pretty full as vehicles were parking up on the drive in. Fortunately we found a spot right away. There were all sorts of people around. From joggers and walkers to families to older folks. It's a short walk of a few blocks to the Falls. It's very scenic. Before you know it you can hear the water cascading down the mountain and you have reached the base of the falls. Feel free to take your shoes off or wear sandals as you can walk in the cool water. A lot of fun on this beautiful day. As the weather heats us, I'm sure even more folks would visit and walk in the cooling beautiful water of Bridal Falls Veil.

I cant say I hike a lot, but this was a nice trail to check out. Its down the road from the more…read morepopular Battle Falls hike but this one is much less crowded I felt. The parking lot is paved and pretty big. Id say it would fit about 25 cars in the marked stalls and a handful more on the curb. Theres also a bathroom! For the bikers, there is a a fix-it station as well and signage for navigating the trails. I spent a few hours here walking around and really enjoyed the peaceful sounds of the creek. It didnt drown out my heavy breathing (out of shape!), but it was a nice sound of nature. Im sure you can spend hours walking around the canyon and find neat little spots to relax and check out. I didnt encounter very many people on the trail so if you like that, this is definitely your place. This trail is dog friendly as well. I saw a guy who had 3 pups with him and they seemed to be loving the trail. Id rate this as a moderate difficulty, and maybe best for kids 6+, though im sure younger ones could do it. Overall, very enjoyable trail. No Starbucks at the top, so pack enough water! Be prepared for some incline and uphill, but take it slow and steady and you'll be rewarded with great views!

This is a beautiful hike surrounded by lush, green trees and lots of shade. It's tucked up in a…read moreresidential community in Draper, but once you get to the trailhead, you wouldn't really know that there are houses nearby. There are several paths and trails you can take-some on foot, some by bike. I even saw clues that horses had been there! At the trailhead, there is plenty of marked parking along with bathrooms. It's easy to find via GPS and you can do shorter or longer trails-whatever floats your boat. Just keep track of where you are because without a map or sense of direction, you could easily get turned around!

As far as the waterfall goes, it's on the small side, but it is a nice little hike at Corner Canyon in Draper. The trail does have some sunny areas, but mostly it's covered buy foliage and it's quite shady on the higher end of the trail.

Recommended as a good early spring time hike, but there was a dusting of snow overnight. The snow…read morewasn't really an issue until you got to about the last mile, when the slush and mud got slick. Combined with the steep incline, it was just slow going but no special gear was necessary. It's always the downhill with these conditions that get me, but I didn't fall this time. Yes, it is steep in parts but there were enough not so steep parts for you to catch your breath. With the sunny weather and a less hazy day, I was treated to a beautiful view of Provo, Utah Lake and all the surrounding mountains dusted with fresh snow. If you have time for only one hike in the area, this wouldn't be a bad one. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

If I could choose 3 ways to describe Squaw Peak Trail, I would choose,…read more 1. Steep...ish 2. Pretty 3. Filled with wild-life 1. Squaw Peak isn't the steepest hike I've done in my life, but it was pretty steep! (Not steeper than the Y...don't worry.) The first bit of the trail is a gradual incline on the thicker paths of Rock Canyon Trail. After hiking on Rock Canyon Trail for a while, you turn left onto a smaller, poorly marked trail. This is Squaw Peak Trail! It is steeper, narrower, and more secluded than Rock Canyon trail. There are parts of the trail that are pretty easy to walk through, and there are other parts that are suuuper steep. It sounds tough, but anyone who is in average shape should be able to do it just fine. 2. The entire hike is gorgeous! The view from the bottom is pretty as you look up to the jagged-looking rocks. Then, the trail is pretty as it runs through densely packed trees and other plants. THEN, the view from the top is amazing!!!! On one side you can see the trees growing on the side of the mountain, and on the other side you can see the entire Utah Valley -- all the way from the point of the mountain in Lehi until far south of Provo! It is such a beautiful view. And there are beautiful, blooming flowers and plants covering the top of the mountain. 3. The ENTIRE hike, my head was getting swarmed by bees and flies. I had used fragrant dry shampoo and was wearing scented lotion, and it must have attracted them, because they would not leave me alone! I wish I had brought bug spray! We also saw a snake. It was actually huge. I heard something moving and looked near my feet and saw a thick, long, black and yellow snake right next to my feet!!!! I was sort of freaking out, but it ended up being okay. I looked it up after, and I think it might have been a kingsnake, which is non-venomous. #Phew! We also had someone warn us on our way up that they recently saw a rattlesnake on the path. So watch where you step, and stay on the trail! It took me and my cousin about 2.25 hours to hike to the top and 1.25 to hike to the bottom. I would give yourself at least 4 hours total to do this hike so you have enough time to enjoy the views at the top! It's worth it!

This is my type of hike-more like a mild nature walk with all my favorite things: water, trees and…read morewildlife. There's a good sized parking lot with some restrooms (which were unfortunately poorly maintained due to staffing issues-but that's another review). There are a few nice overlook spots along the trail and even a few benches to stop and enjoy the scenery. I noticed that there were many spots in the grassy area that appeared to be burned. As I was wondering aloud what those meant, I came across a sign that explained that they were prescribed burns to prevent the existing trees from choking out. They need space to grow. The water is incredibly clear and the stream has a lovely flow to it. There are some spots that are a little more sparse than others, so it might not be the most magnificent trail you'll find in the mountains, but if it's along your path and you'd like a short walk, it's definitely worth visiting.

I've been up this turnoff from Provo Canyon many times, but until today I didn't know that there…read morewas a park here. I'd always drive to the last park right on the canyon road, but today I went up past that park and saw the sign for the Forest Service, took it off to the right, and found this park. It's a long skinny road with a few different parking/pavilion areas, and at the end there's a parking lot with a trailhead. That's what I was after tonight--the trailhead. The fall colors up there were beyond description, and it follows the little river winding back and forth. I got a late start and didn't get much time, but it was just perfect for a chance to get some fresh air, hear the trickle of the brook, and know that when we make an effort to find little parks and traileheads, it's worth it. Apparently, if you take the trail all the way up to the top, you come to what used to be the springs, but after some recent construction, they're not so much accessible springs. I'd like to take that trail all the way up, but for tonight I found a really nice, flat meadow and leaned up near a tree to have some dinner. Back at the park, there are pavilions with lights, restrooms, and that seems to be the big appeal here--the outdoors access and a few pavilions. It's not a huge park with a big playground or anything, but for the trails, the fresh air, the cooler temps... it's just right.

There is a river with some cute bridges for photo opps and kids and adults can enjoy different snow activities during the winter, mostly playing with the slides. Big parking lot and no entry fee.
