Where to start, my experience is a year ago at the time of writing but I'm still that annoyed to be posting about it now! I won a competition to get hair extensions applied in Dry & Fly and from the moment I headed to my consultation it was a disaster. The lady at my consultation hadn't a clue about the competition, knew nothing about the voucher, made no attempt to find out about it but matched me up anyway. That was fine I left that day on a low but was excited to get it sorted and get my extensions fitted. Finally the day arrived and I'm in the chair about to get my hair, the colour of the extensions was wrong, there wasn't enough extensions to cover my whole head so the lady had to go into the back and find some different coloured extensions to try finish the job. I knew the colour was a bit off but I didn't realise how bad it was until I got home and washed it. The colour wasn't anywhere near the same as my hair, the stylist threw a few random brown pieces in, the cut was uneven. When I contacted the salon I was informed my hair was "too short for extensions" and that I wasn't styling them properly. My hair still a year later is thin and raggedy from being chopped into by the stylist to try cover for the fact she hadn't enough extensions. I should have pushed back harder at the time but because it was a competition I felt I had no right. I paid for them to be removed in a different salon and foolishly let the whole incident sit which I wish I hadn't of done as this was a total mess. It knocked my confidence and something that should have been a great experience in a top salon has ended up costing me a lot to try and get my hair back to normal after a year. read more
