I went to get my colour done and asked for a nice blonde throughout the ends of my hair, balayage, showed photo's and paid an extortionate amount of money for it and ended up looking like Lady gaga.
The girl doing my hair didn't listen to what I wanted and clearly did her own thing as she spend 5 and a 1/2 hours giving me highlighted roots (my hair naturally is very dark, so platinum blonde with dark brown isn't a good look and make me look like i had stripey hair).
When i rang to let them know that I wasn't happy with the colour, the first girl I spoke to, over the phone, was very friendly and helpful and was lovely. She told me to come back in and they would have a look at what could be done to fix it. So I did.
I went back in two days later. The girl who originally did my hair wasn't there, thankfully as I think that would have been awkward, and the woman on reception (a much older woman with grey hair) wasn't the least bit pleasent. She was rude, condecending and patronising. I am nearly 30 and I was addresses as 'pet' and 'dear'.
When someone has a complaint to make I don't think you should address them as 'dear'. Asssuming she thought I was much younger, I still think it exceptionally rude and bad customer service. She also spoke to the stylist and said 'now, does the client understand what's going to happen and that it won't look excatly like the image she showed you..' instead of asking the stylist this question, next time ask the client.
While discussing with my new stylist what could be done, she came over and asked me did i want to wait till the girl who had done my hair was back in (all the while, saying this with an angry and very unhappy look and tone to her). Did I want to go home for a second time to go back in for a third the day after to fix the job that they should have done correctly the first time... no. I did not. So I said no I don't so, i don't have another day to waste getting this done.
The guy there was very good, he finished it with another girl and he did the best he could. I'm sure on someone else my hair would be lovely but I have to say I'm not impressed and I won't be going back.
I had told others about this place as I went (note went not go) to get my hair cut, and they started going as a result, but since the experience I had, I will be telling them not to bother.
I really think you need a new receptionist, one that isn't so rude and doesn't assume someone's age by treating them and speaking to them like an infant.
My biggest disappointment is not asking for a refund!!!
One more thing, I was asked at the end of it did i mind if he took a photo of my hair for his portfolio. I said no i don't mind, as he didn't mention it was going on social media. I had no make up on and a plaster on my face after a recent illness so i didn't want it going elsewhere.
About a week later the image is on instagram and my plaster face was filtered. Not impressed at all.
Not at all.
The only good thing about this place in my eyes now is they open early and close late so you can get a blow dry whatever time of the day. read more
