I recommend this place if you are in a rush and need something quick to get, their food is so easy to eat and I love it.

Not just any McDonalds. This one has the same stuff as all the others yes... i'll concede that…read morefact. But I'll have you know that this is the one I choose to go to over all the other ones, and that makes it super special. I go there for the playground. It's not only a McDonald's play area, it's under shade. Now for all you mums out there looking for a place to dump your 2-5 year old kiddies, this is the place. I know it doesn't sound like that big a deal, but it is! Do you know how many mums out there wish there was a place like McDonalds with a play area under shade? While they can talk, eat, be merry. There are millions. And that, my friend, is why this McDonalds is super special. You can lock those smelly little suckers up and they can't go anywhere while you have a chat with your friend, lover, some stranger... it's fantastic. You can finally grab those really precious few minutes if not more (there is rubber matting, it will reduce the time the child falls to when you actually have to get up and see to that they are okay because the rubber matting, sponges their fall mmm hmmm you see?)... and for free. FREE. Cheap food, no entry fee and free enclosed play area... these words are like music to a tired, restless, about to lose it mothers' ears. It sounds very hard to believe I know... shouldn't all play areas for McDonalds be under cover? The answer is NO people.... the answer is no. This one even has a McCafe and is now a 24 hour establishment... even better! I have driven around Centenary looking, the Hungry Jacks has a playground so under the sun the paint has started stripping and the metal has started looking very grimy. The KFC doesn't have one, the other ones are in a shopping centre... just trust me on this one. Take a breather, I never thought I'd say this, but go check this quinkydink out.

Oddly this is not that uncommon in Australia, and it was not all that crowded here or anywhere else on the day I dropped in, and I do not get it. It's particularly a problem here as the area is not as flush with options as Brisbane or Gold Coast. Setting that aside, when I finally made it in, it was a small cafeteria-style place, a common mold around these parts. Ostensibly Indian, it has a diverse vegetarian menu (some dairy, but certainly vegan-friendly). The prices were not bad (if confusing) and the curries basic but tasty. I liked the selection, and ended up with a plate of two dissimilar dishes (noodles and paneer and pea curry), plenty of protein, and a full stomach. Palatable, but not great; I might well have taken them up on some of the chili flakes that lay out. Between that, the general lack of service, and the trouble in actually making it in, I've had better experiences elsewhere at places that aren't all vegetarian. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy there's a vegetarian place near the beach, and I may stop in again sometime, but I wasn't impressed on any level.

Tasty but simple vegetarian food in Maroochydore, tucked away in a little shopfront halfway between…read morethe beach and Sunshine Plaza. Most of the food is Indian-influenced -- curries and things -- but not all of it. You can choose combinations of rice with 1, 2, 3, or 4 things from the trays of pre-made foods on the counter, with the price going up accordingly, or you can pay a bit more for something more special, like the veggie-mince lasagna. Quite a few vegan options, with most things being vegan rather than not, and reasonably priced for the area. I choose rice + 2 options (noodles and dahl), and it was a strange but tasty mix. The dahl was super-spicy, and the Asian-influenced noodles were mildly spicy but not too bad. The dahl was kind of generic, something you can tell has been made to feed the masses, and the noodles had a nice Asian flavor but also didn't seem like anything wildly unique or special. They also have a display case of raw vegan treats and things like that. The atmosphere is super-cute. Nice simple decor, cosy space, and the type of Hare Krishna quotes on the wall that keep things intriguing without shoving ideology down your throat, ha! Nice relaxed vibe, and the guy behind the counter was super friendly and helpful. Wednesdays are vegan nights, which I presume means everything they make is 100% vegan. Definitely check it out if you're in the area and want some healthy vegetarian food for a nice change from all the greasy pub food and fine dining seafood places running all up and down the Sunshine Coast. Quite refreshing that there is a place like this in the area.
