New proprietors, but still a great feed. Filling and tasty. Terrific service too! Good to see it's back after the pandemic. read more
I hate to do this, but Burger Bar was nothing like we expected. The menu seemed inspired, and we heard nothing but good things from everyone including our flatmates. So you could imagine our disappointment when we made the trip out to Noosaville for lunch on empty stomachs after 2 hours of stand up paddle boarding and still couldn't enjoy what we were served. The Midnight Delight (beef, cheese, smoked bacon, garlic & chilli mayonnaise, fried onions, lettuce, tomato, house mayonnaise, AU$14) was far from delightful. The patty was burnt to a crisp throughout, so all I could taste were lumps of what I would imagine chewing charcoal would be like. The bun was dry. The greens were limp. And to be honest, I couldn't understand the sauces which they were stingy on anyway. I rarely splurge on bacon, and I utterly regret doing so today. The burger itself was rather substantial, but a large, incredibly overcooked burger is nothing to cheer about. The House of the Rising Bun (premium Wagyu beef, japanese teriyaki sauce, pickled ginger, house mayo, wasabi, kimchi, roasted red peppers, lettuce, AU$15) was something my partner was absolutely ecstatic for; he was giddy just uttering its name to the cashier. But from the very first bite, his palette was confused. He rarely ever complains about food much less a burger, and he stated that this topped his list for the absolute worst burger he's ever tried. I eat Korean food regularly as does my partner; we've both travelled through South Korea, and neither us saw how the kimchi was true to its name. Fermented, it was. But the spices were completely off. To make matters worse, I was telling my companion the other day about how I haven't had a bad batch of chips since arriving in Australia about 1.5 months ago, and I guess I jinxed us because the chips were boring and some were undercooked. Granted they were busy and the wait for an order was approximately 30 minutes (quoted by an employee), but cutting corners and taking chips out of the fryer a minute or two early does more damage than good. I had a stomachache after, and this was my first meal of the day. It's hard to stuff up chips, but Burger Bar did just that. When we got back to our flat, we were still fuming and it was then that our flatmates told us to avoid lunchtime since they've had bad experiences then as well and have had great food only at dinnertime. Even if that were true, the keys to a successful business includes consistency and Burger Bar just doesn't have it. The only saving grace was the super friendly woman with a smile on who took our order. +1 star for her. read more

My friend and I read about this burger joint through the lonely planet guidebook and we decided to give it a try. It's a small shop, where you walk up to the counter and order the burger and go back to your seat until they bring it to you. It has very little service, you must even go get your own water and napkins. While we were waiting in line, there was one table open and we assumed it would be ours because the people in front of us already had a table. But while we were waiting, people arrived 5 minutes after us and jacked the table. We were then forced to stand and wait for our burgers to arrive once we ordered them until one table opened up inside. The indoors was steamy and uncomfortably hot though, we wanted to be outside. The lack of seating is very unappealing. As for the food, I had the top bun lamb burger which was pretty good, but not the best burger I've ever had. It was better than a normal burger, but not gourmet. My friend got a chicken burger without the chicken and a veggie burger instead, so that is a possibility for vegetarians besides only getting the veggie burgers they offer. Food was good, but everything besides that was mediocre. Prices were acceptable. It's some place I liked, but I wouldn't go out of my way to go there and would only go there if I was a local. read more

If you like veggie burgers, this place is it! They have two options and they are so tasty! Flavorful, big portion, great bun, vegan option. I loved it and it quite possibly could be the best veggie burger I ever had ! read more
I normally take hotel front desk worker recommendations with a grain of salt. Sure, I've had dozens of sincere, heartfelt recommendations for great local eats and attractions. However, I've had an equal amount of awful recommendations directing me to sub-par, boil-in-a-bag dumps. I'm here to tell you, friends, that the suggestion, by the good folks at the Noosa Sun Motel, that lunch be had at the Burger Bar was spot on. My dining companion had a juicy, drippingly delicious Midnight Delight burger, whilst I enjoyed a Jamaican Me Crazy chicken sandwich slathered with multiple levels of flavor. Accompanied by a heaping bowl of slaw as well as hot, fresh chips ("fries" to us 'Mericans), this was a whole lotta food. We made a mighty dent, but did not finish. If there are two of you, consider one side only. This place boasts that they are a "small, non-robotic business" and, friends, they aren't foolin' ya. This is good eats for a burger place, the price is right and it tastes like food - not processed "parts is parts" charbroiled hockey pucks. Buy a burger, enjoy a beer and sit a spell. read more

A definite place to stop. Had the beef burger which was delicious. Wife had chicken which she loved. Great setting and service.

The burgers are ok. They're on the dry side of things, would certainly benefit from some burger sauce other than the uninspired tomato paste on them. The Turkish life like buns work surprisingly well but don't help the dry aspect of the burger at all. These are certainly expensive burgers - the basic one sitting at over $11 and - frankly - you're net getting a lot for it. We were lucky and had vouchers for free chips which brings it into a more suitable price range for what's being offered. Bottom line: not bad but I would certainly not travel to get one of these. read more

After hitting the gym today, I was craving a burger and Burger Bar was right around the corner. So glad I stopped in! The burgers all sounded very good and interesting. They offer a wide range of beef, chicken, lamb, and veggie burgers with great, unique condiments and toppings. Most of the condiments are made in house and I think the buns are as well. I ordered a "Baby Beef" burger (130g meat, $7/burger) and it was excellent...just the right size for me. It has less meat than a regular burger, but it uses the same size bun as the regular burger, just the meat pattie is thinner. My boyfriend ordered the JT Frenchie...it was awesome. A little too rich for me to be able to eat a whole one, but he had no problem. We also had an order of chips that were a good size for 2 people ($4). The chips were good...hot and crispy. From 11-2 they have lunch specials...I think a baby burger and chips for $10 or a regular burger with chips and a drink for $13 or $14. The next time I'm craving a burger, I will return to Burger Bar. read more
