This one in Cockermouth is an ice cream parlour and coffee shop. I think vanilla is the best, but they have every flavour imaginable - the ones incoporating local produce such as raspberries are also divine. Since all of their cone portion sizes appeared small compared to the U.S. we assumed that our sundaes would also be small. I was surprised to see that they were massive. Well I guess it is the ice cream, this stuff is amazing creamy smooth and not too sweet. Good selection of hot deserts from waffles to doughnuts to hot fudge brownie sundaes. Coffee and cakes are available too if your not as much of a cold/hot desert sort of person. What you pay is well below what you would expect for the quality. The staff are amazing and polite great at their jobs. Their only downside is their location and this is not a downside of the business it is for the customers finding it. They are located just at the end of the promenade from the waterfront but away from the rest of the waterfront attractions. The opposite side of the station from the town centre and just a little bit off the beaten track. On the plus side if this was any more central the place would be queued out of the door and you wouldn't get served half as quick.
