With multiple techs coming into our house. Not super respectful of our time. They quoted that we needed all new duct work for thousands of dollars, which, fine, thank you for the info but we don't have 20K to get all new ducts. The problem: They took out our old filter in our furnace and threw it away. Forgot to let us know that, so we just were running it with no filter for 10+ days, which is pretty bad for the unit and our air quality throughout the home. It's also potentially a safety hazard to not have a filter...seems odd for a company that specializes in this to leave our unit worse off seeing as they came to "tune it up".

They were able to schedule the install the following week. They put in a new Rheem 98% efficient furnace and an Aprilaire media cleaner and did a great job! Afterwards, I had concerns about how to properly clean the grate, as there was no accessible panel. A representative from Bob's confirmed that the grates are not removable and advised using a product called Nu-Calgon Evap Foam No Rinse to clean the condensing coil. Earlier this year, Matthew's Heating & Cooling inspected and cleaned my furnace. They determined that the condensate drain had not been installed in a workmanlike manner and strongly advised against using the cleaning product mentioned above (see attached report). To date, we have identified at least two furnaces that experienced this same issue. I scheduled a meeting with the condo board president and a representative from Bob's Heating. No one from Bob's showed up for the meeting. I would urge any resident living at Richmond Terrace to use another vendor when replacing their furnace.

Anthony from the Good Guys was the only one to get back to me within a week to give me an estimate, he was there the next day! After getting the other 3 estimates his estimate was still the best for price, quality, and the service they would provide. They were also the only company that would get my new system installed in June! Homes come with all sorts of Heating and Cooling systems, and they date back to all sorts of dates. The Good Guy team knew how to assess my old system and were able to find the best products and installation for me. In fact, they first solved a duct work installation issue by worked with most the old duct work avoiding extra costs. Later when it was time to install my new heating system Anthony called be back with a better more energy efficient heating product saving me a few thousand dollars and also giving me a $500. Rebate! My husband insisted that she let these folks give her a second opinion. They came in a timely manner, behaved as professionals, and took care of her boiler for a reasonable fee and did not see any of the issues KKomfort claimed she had and wanted to charge her an exorbitant fee! KKomfort made a fake diagnosis on her system! Thank goodness for Christensen and Wisnet! We will use no one else! Go with a long held reputation for great, honest service! Every visit, I've been very pleased with their service, promptness, price, and no-nonsense, honest attitude. Each time I've called, they have come out very quickly and fixed the problem immediately. Post-fix, Charlie tells us what he fixed and he shows us the broken part; additionally, on one occasion, he showed us how do one of the fixes ourselves to save us money in the future. Finally, the prices are very reasonable and this most recent visit, I was surprised with how much cheaper it was than I was expecting.
