Joe treats every customer like family. Knowing that I live about two miles from his auto body shop, he drove me home after I dropped my car off. Today he called to let me know there had been a delay in getting one of the parts. When he found out that I had not rented a car (insurance wouldn't cover it), he told me that when my car is ready, he will pick me up to come and get it. I have had his shop do work before. I have used Drobas for all my car repairs. Sadly I have had three mishaps. Very satisfied with the workmanship, the timeliness of the repair and the cost. I will be back AGAIN for yet another repair this week. There are several body repair shops along Brookpark. I stopped at all of them the last time. Drobas gave me the best price. My grandpa had his late 90s Intrepid car stolen and wrecked recently. I handled all of the paperwork for him. Thanks to the recommendation of his insurance company, we had taken it here. Upon receiving it from the impound lot, I asked if they could transport it to the shop (it wasn't drivable). They offered to have a tow (through Parma Towing) come out and take it to their shop and I didn't have to wait for them to arrive. I met Jim, the proprietor, a chatty chap. I explained the situation to him and he was eager to get grandpa back on the road (perhaps he see a future repeat customer). He informed me of what needed to be done - estimate, sending it to the insurance company, receiving my approval for the estimate, finding the replacement parts, doing the body work, receiving payment from the insurance company. He was prompt and started the process the day of receiving the vehicle. He called me nearly every day to update me on the status of the car (even if it was only 'still waiting on the paperwork from the insurance company' or the 'part') and stayed open past operating hours [9-5, M-F ?] to accommodate me and another customer. Overall, it had taken about 10 days to get the car back in working condition and gave it back to him fully cleaned. I didn't pay for any of it, so I don't know if the price was a good value but he gave grandpa a $100 discount so he didn't have to pay his deductible. (Note that he leaves the some of the cars outdoors, in case you're anal retentive about exposing your car to sunlight, snow, or Parma's finest - I didn't find this to be a problem). Given the situation, it was a fine experience, and I'd recommend him if you're in the area and need work done. read more

I was sent to Droba's by two mechanics who agreed the shop was excellent at welding. My shock towers were rusted out and the work was completed relatively quickly and seems to be adequate. Unfortunately, the work being completed doesn't make up for an employee stealing my 300 dollar leather jacket from the trunk of the vehicle, or the fact that when they spray painted the bondo they put over the welds that they didn't tape off the vehicle (Ford Escape) and every inch of the interior was covered in overspray, including seat covers that I had to replace as well as the 300 dollar video monitors in my headrests. I was able to salvage the monitors with some heavy cleaning products Also, when they assembled the interior molding, they tore the rear seat cover to the point it needs to be replaced, and also assembled the molding right over the seatbelts - I had to pull the molding back out and retrieve the belts from where the repairs were made. I wouldn't have cared about these things, but I expressly told them I am a full time uber driver and they left my passengers without the ability to put on a seat belt which almost cost me my job. They have easily cost me 200 dollars more than the repair with their carelessness in replacing things ruined by over spray/cleaning products to remove it, let alone the cost of the jacket. read more

Jim is a wonderful mechanic. He does not give you the run around. He is upfront and very prompt. If you have autobody damage this is your place. He does exactly what he said he will. He is quick to exchange information and an all around good guy. If you want to support a local business and want your vehicle fixed correctly, this is the place to go. I brought a 94 Eldorado to Droba's. A hard car to find parts for at a price that wouldn't break the bank. Jim the owner took his time found the parts, repaired the front end and did a terrific job. He also did it for $500 less than my insurance adjuster had estimated, thus saving me the entire deductible.Bottom line they do good work at a great price and are very easy to work with .
