I was in a panic! It was three weeks until my daughter's behind-the-wheel driving test. As it was, I messed up on scheduling her driver's test and needed to wait an additional 8-weeks (helpful hint: see if you can schedule the driver's test when you get the permit!) and I didn't think that the driving lesson schedule would be so impacted. When I went online to schedule, the first date available was AFTER the driver's test. OH NO!!!!! However, I called Kay at Driversity, Antioch and upon explaining my situation, she immediately put my fears to rest and said that it's not going to be a problem. PHEW!!!! Kay worked with magic with the schedule, had suggestions for various times and dates PRIOR to the test and within a 10 minute phone call, had two dates on the schedule for my daughter to complete her second and third professional driving lessons. I am so grateful to the Kay and her excellent service. In fact, in just a few short months, I'll be looking forward to calling again to schedule my son's driving lessons with Driversity, Antioch. If I give zero stars, I would. They need to hire a new receptionist ASAP. The way she answered was extremely unprofessional. Usually, one would say, "Thank you for calling blah blah, my name is blah blah." Instead, all I got was a very rude sounding, "Driversity." She sounded like she did not want to work there at all. To begin I am a person who have been scared to drive enormously. Every where I go I will take taxis and my husband will drive me if he can. Literally, I know nothing about driving for a middle age woman. I decided to contact Diversity Driving School. The price is reasonable/affordable. They set me up with Cintya as my instructor. She is punctual, knowledgeable, friendly and a very good teacher. She will go beyond to teach me and gave some useful tricks on the road. Oh i forgot to mention they have really nice car and CLEAN. I toke 4 lessons in total and on the weekend with NO practice because my husband is unavailable. With so much help from my instructor that I felt ready. I decided to take a driving test at the local concord DMV. I toke my last driving lesson before my driving test. I just cannot believe I passed !!!!!! I should wrote this post early to thank you Cyntia and how grateful I am. My life has been changed since then and I can drive every where I want with my 2 daughters to school, shopping, museums, restaurants, kids birthday party, water world etc...if you have a good instructor and eager to do so! I scheduled a friend for 3 driving lessons. After our experience with the first one yesterday, I have cancelled the remaining 2 lessons. My friend paid cash and was offered no receipt for her money, the instructor wasn't friendly or professional. The car stank of cigarettes, made funny noises, and the instructor picked up another driving student who then drove my friend home. The owner of the company has since called me to get my input. While I appreciate his desire to hear our side of things, I would not use this company again. read more

WORST CUSROMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED - from the OWNER. One star because ZERO is not an option. I would recommend ANY other driving school besides Driversity. I scheduled an apt from 7-9 p.m. for my 16 year old - this would be his second behind the wheel lesson with Driversity. I received a confirmation from both Joseph (the instructor) and the office. Joseph showed up over 20 minutes late with no phone call to let me know he was running late due to traffic or any other excuse. Had he called, I would have cancelled the drive. I was already questioning the 7-9 schedule on a school night. When Joseph finally arrived, he was not apologetic. He then charged me $5 more than shown on my confirmation ?? I asked if there was a discount since he would be starting 30 minutes late. He replied, "No, I'll just have him drive the full 2 hours and return at 9:30." Oh - kay...They drove off. My son called me at 9:20 p.m. stating they were in Pittsburg. OMG!! They are heading home. Fantastic. They arrived about 9:50 (thank God!) and then had some discussion in the car. My son came in the door around 10 p.m. - maybe later. This is not OK with me. I called the next day and spoke with Kay, who told me she was the manager. She informed me I'd have to speak with the owner. David, the owner, called me back and I told him my story. He was completely unsympathetic. He had no idea why I was upset. "Did your son return home?" Well, hmm-I was expecting a bit more customer service. I expected perhaps, a discount & apology for this disaster. He didn't even apologize. He said the instructor was late due to traffic and doesn't use the phone. I thought that was an excellent opportunity to show the student in the car that you should pull over and let someone know you're running late. The dollar amount difference was a clerical error - oops, I guess was his response. Really?!?! If ALL you are looking for is your son/daughter to return from their driver's training, this may be the right choice for you. Although, I would bet they don't guarantee that either. If you expect good customer service, this is not the place. When things go wrong, you find out what a company is about. This was handled extremely wrong, in my opinion. David had the opportunity to right things and chose differently. What a horrible business decision. read more

My son gone through the program and he passed the driving test on his first try. I could tell right away he is following the rules and he is paying more attention as a heads-up driver. All the instructors were on time and met my expectations as a paprent. read more

My son recently finished 4 "live days" (on site not on-line) of classes and 3 behind the wheel sessions to validate his permit. Here's our feedback: The classroom instructor Jack must be awesome. I can think of nothing more boring sounding than sitting in a classroom learning about rules of the road, etc (anyone else having traffic school flashbacks?). Our son went happily every day and commented on how great Jack was. FYI the Concord site has a cinder-block classroom, if it's cold out bring a jacket. Cintya was my son's behind the wheel instructor. She was punctual, upbeat and communicative. As a parent I really appreciated her feedback about which driving skills were going well and what needed to be worked on. Our son enjoyed her and learned allot. There was a minor bump in the road. Driversity was in the middle of a price change and we were mistakenly changed the new rate, a difference of $6. I contacted the office, and Rainy (the owner) called me herself to apologize and let me know that she was refunding the money. Over all we had a very good experience with Driversity and would use them again. read more

My son had his first 2 hour In Car Driver Training with Patti. My son was nervous but after his session with Patti the nervous feeling went away. To be honest I had heard way too many negative reviews and feedback from other parents about other driving schools. After doing some research I went with Driversity. Patti was highly recommended by a friend/co-worker. I enrolled online. A few days before our appt Patti sent us an email confirmation. Great service, friendly people. My 16 year old took the classroom driver's ed class over two weekends, took the DMV written exam the following Saturday and he easily passed on the first try. Both my daughter and son had driving lessons with Driversity. It was so easy to schedule the lessons online. I appreciated the way the person in the office who answered the phone was so accommodating when I needed a time slot that wasn't on the schedule. She worked with me to set up a lesson that accommodated my son's schedule. The instructors are all very knowledgeable and patient and my kids felt comfortable with them. I had an amazing experience with Driversity. I learned so much from the Drivers Ed program. I did the online classes and I found them extremely informative, well-structured, and easy to understand. I passed my permit test on the first try thanks to this program. I also did my driving lessons with Dave Robinson, the owner. He was a phenomenal instructor. I learned so much from his comments and from all his help. I also passed my driving test on the first try. I would highly recommend this driving school to everyone. You get what you pay for. They are losing their best trainers to competitors and who's left are sketchy at best. Also, they failed to instruct my daughter about a 'Critical Driving Error' that disqualified her during her 1st DMV driving test. Then when I challenged the charge for the lesson the owner had the audacity to call me names and accuse me of lying. Wow. Melissa in the office is incredibly condescending, repeats robotic answers in a snotty tone instead of listening to the customer's needs. Kay is helpful and polite. It seems everyone is powerless to fix their website problems. My son told me he had completed the course, twice. I believed Driversity's explanations about why he wasn't receiving proper credit for his work. The third time, I watched over him while he completed it. He stayed up too late, got up early in the morning, missed other activities, and put off school work, but the computer system continued to flag items as incorrectly accessed. I dragged myself into work on a few hours sleep because I was trying to make sure we met the hard-won extension deadline. We are now more than a month behind schedule on a much needed learner's permit so he will have transportation to school next year. My other two children went through Driversity and it has never been smooth sailing. So done. Taking my business elsewhere. read more

as a teen who has never driven before, this was not a first experience. i was seeking help for this is a lesson. instead, all i got were a bunch of head shaking, extremely rude sarcasm, and no advice whatsoever. the instructor i got was named Kim. whenever i would mess up she would always shake her head and would not give me feedback. she truly made me feel stupid and definitely did not motivate me or help me to do better. driversity's slogan is that they "build you up for success," but all they did was lower my self esteem and make me feel lost. these instructors should be understanding and realize that some of their students have never even driven before! obviously we would be confused. rolling your eyes and shaking your heads will not help us get better! an acquaintance of mine just had a lesson with kim and she even went on to tell my acquaintance all the things she did not like about me. she even said my name which is extremely unprofessional. would you really want a teacher who talks bad about you to her other students? i did complain about this by making a call and i was told, "we get your situation but don't take this in the wrong way but we don't want to make our co workers look bad so we can't justify that" the receptionist even called me a liar to another fellow acquaintance who rescheduled her appointments (the receptionist used my full name as well) when i asked for the receptionists name, she hung up. this company is extremely unprofessional and quite trashy. read more

Definitely would not recommend driversity. The whole school seemed very disorganized. The instructors seemed like they had no formal training. They told my son to signal while reversing. The person answering the phones had no idea what they were talking about. Overall bad experience. Would definitely not recommend them to anyone. I've been using Driversity Driving School services since November,2015 and I must say they are a great school and they do teach you the safety's and rules of the road. I did both my online class so I could get my permit which I passed on the 1st try. However when it got to the time for me to start scheduling my behind-the-wheel lessons, I had two lessons with my instructor Joe. The first lesson with him was great,he taught me how to do basic maneuvers, but the second lesson with him was terrible, everything was going good for a 1hr 1/2, but when I made one mistake hitting the curb, he yelled at me and bashed me to the point where I never wanted to drive again. He also digged into my privacy life telling me, "you have all those cars at your house, why is no one teaching you?!" Overall I recommend to not schedule a lesson with Joe because he is rude. I scheduled my last lesson with Morgan who was a very nice lady and she made me feel comfortable while driving while letting me know some errors I made and how to not make them again. I now have my drivers license and recently passed my road test on the first try. This is a good school to let your children learn how to drive safely and know the rules of the road, just don't schedule with Joe hes just a grumpy old man. read more
