Friday November 14, 2025 I called GTT at 9:30am to reserve a cab pick up for my son , who is special needs. The cab was to pick him up at his job between Hespeler and Guelph, on Hwy 24. At 3:05 pm I gave her full address of pick up and drop off. The dispatch confirmed all the info. I told her that he would pay The cab driver. I received a confirmation text immediately . At 2:50 pm , I received a text saying the driver was on their way , 3 texts actually. Saying what type of car etc that would pick him up. At 3:02 I received a phone call from GTT. She asked if I was trying to book a cab for pick up at Royal city nursery. I said not trying I booked and confirmed this am. She said well we cannot pick him up , I would have to call a cab in Guelph , but it would likely take 45 mins!! She asked if we have an account. I said no. I was not happy! I told her this is not an option.. he's autistic and why am I just getting a call now at his time of pick up . She said well the debit machine is down so can't pick him up! Never once did she ask if he was paying cash, or how he's paying . Just nothing she can do!! I got angry, said a few choice words and hung up! I was no where near his location, but stopped what I was doing and picked him up 30 mins later. He told me at 3:05 pm, at his pick up time he was outside waiting, saw Golden triangle taxi, drive right past him on hwy 24 , heading to Guelph! This is totally unacceptable!

The guy calls me and says I'm here. I told him I don't need him and didn't even think anyone would come. They he kept asking me what the exact address is (cause I only gave them an estimate) and I kept telling him I don't need him. He kept pressuring me and I finally said ok but I told him he'd have to wait 15-20 minutes cause I wasn't ready. He told me to cancel the other taxi so I did. He called me multiple times harassing me telling me he's going to leave and yelling at me. Then he harassed me during the car ride and basically forced me to tip him out of fear. He was very abusive. Not only that but he kept pressuring me and antagonizing me to pay immediately at the beginning of the trip and I told him one second I have to download the app and he kept interrupting me every 5 seconds telling me to pay. Actually unhinged behaviour. I used them once a few years ago and remembered having a bad experience too so nothing has changed. I regret this so much I wish I just took an Uber cause it's the same price and they actually screen their employees.

Called the dispatcher who said all of the cabs were tied up and one would come once they were free. Cab showed up over 20 minutes late. We arrived at the airport too late for our flight. Cost over $2,200 for two new plane tickets. The taxi company owner would not take any responsibility for the cab not showing up on time. Said that even a pre-arranged pick up time is not a guarantee.

Last night the time was confirmed. This morning the cab was not here for this arranged time, and when we called to see where the driver was they said they would not be there for another 10/15 minutes, at this point my parents were going to miss their connection, and therefore, miss their flight. This was extremely stressful and we had to arrange for an alternative method of transportation very last minute. I just called in regards to this situation and at 4am the cab was STILL not here and would still not be here for God knows how long. I requested to launch a complaint and they said that it is not guaranteed because sometimes they don't have drivers out at this time.... then why do you accept and promise advanced pickup arrangements, especially when you know it is in relation to travelling to the airport. Ghosted at the Kitchner/Waterloo airport at 2 am! We gave…read morethem 1 star as the trip to the airport was on time and driver very nice! However, the second half of our contract was a disaster!! We were assured 3 times that they would follow the plane in case it was late...the day we booked, the day before we left Guelph and from the Abbotsford airport on the return day...that they would "follow the flight" incase it was late...a usual occurance these days. We were supposed to land at 1:10am and were 45 min. late (on a 4 hr. flight certainly information they had access to in plenty of time!!). We landed at 1:50 (texted our daughter on the west coast) our luggage was some of the first down, and we headed out at 2:02, after a long day, thinking great!! After waiting till 2:13 and all cars gone and no one looking for us, we called and was told "he waited an hour for you and left" Wow, not sure how he thought we would be there if he followed the flight!!! "He is just around the corner, I'll send him back". We waited till 2:22 and called again, to be told he would be right there. Then called again at 2:31 (so glad phones keep these records) to be told he was right around the corner again. It only takes 20 min. to travel between our place and the airport at this hour, so he must have been in Guelph again...not exactly around the corner!! When he did arrive he was confrontational and went on how he waited an hour ( guess he arrived when the plane was supposed to arrive?) and lost 2 other rides. Not really our problem...but figured we would take it up with the company in the morning. When we called the "manager "Anna" listened to our story and said ""give me some time and I'll call you back. Waited from Tuesday to Friday for her call. On Friday morning we called back only to be yelled at about how he waited 1 hour or 45 min. or 30 min, all mentioned, how google said the plane was down at 1:00 and how they did us a favor coming back when they had already been there!!! What??? And they had already processed our credit card for the ride! She actually said I was treating her like a servant...wow!! Obviously they have lost the concept of service and customer!! They did us NO favors!! They only added to a long day, with a stressful ride home, which was THEIR part of the contact!! We will NEVER use their service again!!!
