This office is all about service! Other DPS facilities should be modeled after the Liberty facility!

I asked her for a copy of a signed document I finished signing and simply said no. On another occasion, a family member of mine had to tell this individual three time she was taking her behind the wheel exam and did not believe her and went forth to look up her info there after asking her multiple times. Latina lady who works there is so pathetic and unprofessional when examining drivers. She made comments like 'I hope there are no animals in here' , 'I'm going to mark one point off because you made the wrong shift change.' and 'you better be thankful you're pretty.' Super disappointed with the unnoticed of this behavior. Shame on the manger for hiring such individual with low life comments. They take everything personal. We had asked this 30 year old lady who was really nice but when it came to asking why she had copied a document of ours, she got super defensive and asked 'why, is there something wrong?' She took our questioning of her too personal and its only morally right as the DPS officer to communicate with your customer to let them know what you are doing with such handling of sensitive informational documents.

IF YOU LIVE IN TEXAS, READ THIS. YOU WILL NEED THIS INFO ONE DAY…read more If you need to apply or renew your Texas Drivers License, you need to schedule an appointment to do so. Go to https://public.txdpsscheduler.com to schedule your appointment. You need multiple Government issued ID's to renew your license. It must be a CERTIFIED copy of your birth certificate, passport, Social Security Card, green card, or proof of legal alien status. Ironically, you CANNOT use your LTC/CHL or TWIC card even though both of those require fingerprints. That's the government for you!!! All that being said, scheduling an appointment online wasn't difficult. Just make sure you have everything you need before you get here. You can check-in up to 30 minutes prior to your appointment but not a second sooner. Forms of payment include cash, check, or credit card. The staff was friendly and helpful. But, I personally find most people reciprocate your own attitude. So, be nice. New Applicants that are taking a drivers test must have proof of insurance for the vehicle they are testing in. You can register to vote and register to be an organ donor at the same time. Bottom line: Make an appointment and bring the necessary forms of ID and it's almost painless...almost. I hope this review helps you.

Your Yelper Girl here. It was time to renew my driver's license and I had to go in person this…read moretime. After trying to schedule and appointment in Austin more than a month ahead of time, I was bummed to see most locations in Austin and the surrounding cities were booked more than FOUR MONTHS after my license expired. This lack of appointments was very disheartening and surprising not to mention VERY inconvenient. I was going to visit my mom in Texas City and decided to check if any appointments were available in TC during my visit. I was elated to see MANY days and time slots. I chose one and went in that day. The facility was packed however I checked in with the barcode that was sent to me in the confirmation email. Everything went smoothly and I was seen 15 minutes after my appointment time. Make sure you have your original birth certificate or certified copy when renewing. They will accept an official Record of Birth. They were very accommodating and the lady at the check-in area is so nice. I didn't get her name; however, she had short hair and had a calm and respectful demeanor.
