For me, everyone starts out with 5 stars. Today my wife's MDX started cutting in and out and she…read moremananged to get it off the highway before it quit altogether, right in front of Tom Wood Honda. She called me, in Michigan ,and I had her look under the hood. Sure enough, the battery ground cable had come loose. She walked over to ask for help, or to borrow a tool. She was denied. She was mansplained to about insurance, and offered no solution other than to call a tow truck to tow it 300 feet, and then to wait in line for their service queue, so that they could run a "diagnostic" and see how to proceed. All to tighten a battery cable. I am only 51, but I have to ask, where have all the men gone? She hit it with her purse (a can of coconut milk) and will be able to get down the road to buy the tools she needs. Way to go guys! Tom Wood Honda agreed to replace the timing chain components. But ever since they started the repairs, the car has been leaking oil. I've brought it back four times, and the issue still isn't fixed. I requested that they send it to the VW dealership, but they refused and insisted they'd continue to handle the repair in-house. Now, there's a new oil leak coming from the turbo area, which wasn't an issue when I purchased the car. This entire experience has been frustrating and disappointing. I bought a car I thought was reliable -- instead, it's been in the shop more than on the road. At this point, I just want to return the vehicle and get my money back. I can't recommend Tom Wood Honda based on this experience.

I have taken my car to Southside over a dozen times in the past and they care about customer service, so I asked if they would verify the repairs needed. Southside took the time to confirm what two other independent auto repair businesses eventually told me: the repairs were not necessary for safety, and wouldn't be for at least 6 more months (tires do wear out). 3 service techs at different companies all agreed that at most, the bill should be under $1000. Southside now primarily sells cars, so it meant even more that the owner took over a half hour to work with me and confirm these suspicions. In fact, they doubled down and made an offer to buy my grandmother's car at a more than reasonable price if she wanted to sell it! They took the time to show me why the repairs were not needed, and how to check for myself in the future if needed. They clearly had nothing to hide. I am so gratetful to Southside for their years of honest and reasonably priced repairs, and they will be my first choice to look next time I need an excellent used car (or to sell one). Thank you Southside for going above and beyond because you actually care about the customers too, not just the cars.
