URGING ALL FAMILIES AND PEOPLE CONSIDERING THIS SCHOOL JUST BECAUSE ITS THE CHEAPEST LOCALLY, DON'T Looking at most of these reviews I notice there is no recent ones. So allow me to do the unfortunate honor of posting one myself. Currently as someone seeking their license my family and I went with the drive rite school owned by Mr Neary, who has to be easily the WORST instructor imaginable, anything negative you can think of he fits it perfectly. The man is old, impatient, grouchy and easily annoyed and even uses profanity at times, he'll dismiss any anxiety you have on the road and tell you to just "leave it at home" or while practicing maneuverability if you say you are nervous he will dismiss you again by saying "well you don't want to be nervous on the test" and proceed to get easily annoyed if you don't get turns around the cones correct exactly on your first couple of tries. He will make phone calls to other students seeking his services mind you, on YOUR TIME and MONEY during YOU'RE LESSON which he will then proceed to gossip and bad mouth said other students of his to you, so you can only imagine what he may say behind your back when you're a beginner driver of all things. Not only is this gross negligence but also a massive safety concern as well as he's not paying attention to "teaching" you WHILE YOU ARE DRIVING. both times I went for his services he would randomly say he'll be out for a week and when you call him he has zero courtesy to return your calls or any intentions to do so. During my lessons with him it was at the tail end of the week, he said on that particular Thursday we were done that he'd call me Friday to schedule further lessons that we already discussed prior, come Friday no phone call, so I call him myself he cuts me off by saying "sorry have to go a thing is being delivered" and never received a call back. I'm making this review not only because I feel like this hateful bitter fool, who only cares about taking peoples money and not your progress and his so called joke of a "driving school"deserves it, but also to hopefully and most importantly stop others especially with kids from getting services from this place. I know it may be tempting to most since he charges cheap but trust me, you pay cheap and you'll get horrendous quality in return. If you don't want your own confidence or your kids confidence completely destroyed by this rude unprofessional behavior I urge you to look into other options even if they cost more. Drive "rite" is certainly NOT the RIGHT direction. Before I end my review I'll add an extra personal note, even one of the maintenance people in my building of all things warned he's a horrible instructor so that should also tell you right there this guy has a long ugly history of his lousy services. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! The man answering the phone is very rude and non helpful! He has absolutely no customer skill and talks to people in a condescending manor. I had bad vibes from this place and I'm glad I decided to read the reviews. I don't know how this company stays in business!?!? Go elsewhere, pay more if you have to! Signed my daughter up for in-car classes 13 weeks ago. Was told it'd be a 9 week waiting list. Which we were totally fine with. FINALLY was able to get Walt in the phone, when I told him that we need a start date he said, very rudely, "we're not busy, we're slammed. I'll tell what, I'll give ya your money back. Bye now" and hung up. Wasted so much time and money. Never again. read more

We checked all of the local driving schools for my son's in-car training and found drive-rite to be the best overall. Walt was a pleasure to work with and went out of his way to get my son in within a week, when the other schools were saying it would take 4-6 weeks. Randy, the instructor was excellent. He was very patient and taught my son many tips and tricks for safe driving. We did our lessons at the new Kenwood location, which was very convenient. I'd definitely recommend Drive-rite. read more

Terrible follow up. Books too many students at once and is impossible to schedule driving time because they are so booked up. Ridiculous.

Horrible customer service! Never called us back after a month, then cut us off on the phone when tried to ask what the process was. Was told that it would be another week to schedule in-car, 12 days later only called back when we contested the charge on our credit card (because no refunds even if no service, you know!), Finally got lessons scheduled - Tues-Friday, then was told the wrong time. After being charged $40 for a no-show due to their scheduler error, they dropped lesson times down to 1 hour instead of 2 due to 'inexperience.' Hello- this is a new driver - it is YOUR job to teach them! Friday the instructor cancelled, Monday cancelled (car is in shop), and since then no contact. Great Teachers! My son attended in 2008 and my daughter just completed classes. They both love to share tips/tricks and laws they learned while in class at Drive Rite. In car was so nice, they picked the students up after school read more

I would give zero stars if possible.....we had nothing but issues when our teen tried to take classes. She was told she didn't have enough experience behind the wheel and should have been practicing before taking classes. The instructor made her cry her first lesson. After the second lesson, which was cut short, she was called and told the car was in the shop, then that the instructor had a doctor appointment. We received NO MORE lessons - two hours out of the eight. And of course, no refunds - the owner was a complete jerk to both my husband and I when we tried to complain. STAY AWAY!!! read more

Call today for information about teen driving training. The man that answered the phone was extremely rude and seem to be not interested in providing courteous friendly and professional service. I advised him I would call amother school that has better customer service. I will not spend my money where I do not get outstanding customer service. I can only imagine how my teenage son would feel if this is the way the instructors conducted themselves. read more

I wouldn't even give this company a 1 star. I signed my daughter up for just the behind the wheel classes two weeks ago. I was told it would take a day or two to get her in the system. He would then call and set up her days. He told me that he was booked 3.5 weeks out. No problem. He never called. I called Mr Neery five times. Then he finally was so beligerant with me I asked for a refund. He taped my check to the door of his company. Highly recommend never using this company and that the owner get rid of such a rude employee. This company needs a real lesson in customer service. People-don't use them ever. Not worth the hassle. He scheduled her on days that she was not available and he had this information. He blames me and yelled like an idiot in the phone. I guess he shouldn't have kept making excuses the first four times I tried to schedule. One was he was busy. One was he was in a meeting. One was I don't have a calendar with me. Seriously? My son went elsewhere and it was nothing like this. I went to Drive Rite because it was a little cheaper. Its not worth saving the little bit I would have saved. And I would never allow my daughter in a car with a man like him. The whole experience was bad from start to finish. read more
