Went here for two years getting my Associates of Business in Culinary Arts, I loved the program and…read morethe kitchens are top notch and even better than a lot of the restaurant's here in Cincinnati. : In terms of the credit hour rate it is one of the lowest for Culinary Schools, I had friends attend the Culinary Institute of America and after two years they had spent over 100,000 just for tutiton, room and board and fees. After two years at MCI I spent around 8 thousand dollars and trained under Certified Master Chefs. :Since this is a community college, there is no school pride which is sad to see, a lot of students when asked about our basketball team didn't even know where the gym was. : Things to check out if you go there currently for lunch I suggest Bakery Hill on the 2nd floor of ATLC, everything is made there fresh everyday and the counter people are pastry students that really care about you, compared to the Overlook where the food is bland and way overpriced and greasy and the workers don't want to help you. : Also check out the Summit, it is an acting restaurant run by Chef Sean Kagy and his all student work staff in the kitchen and Donna and her all student wait staff. I would suggest going on Friday nights as they have had three courses plus wine pairings for around thirty dollars a person.

This location of the University of Cincinnati is an incredible value. There are not a lot of…read moreUniversity options between Dayton & Cincinnati so the fact that this UC campus is located in Blue Ash is a huge convenience for me personally. Also, the cost per credit hour is much lower than at the University of Cincinnati Main campus. They offer quite a lot of night classes as well as distance learning options (online). Every professor I've had here has been an adjunct professor. I personally enjoy this because most are employed in the field related to the subject they are instructing. I find that these professors usually have unexpected and interesting insight into the course subject matter. I always try to schedule my classes through this UC campus. It is small only two main buildings. Plus parking is included in tuition which is awesome.

We signed our son up for tutoring in June to avoid the summer slump, but our family ultimately…read moredecided that Huntington was not the right fit, primarily because the tutoring model we received differed significantly from what we understood during the enrollment process. Enrollment uses a remote salesperson after a local assessment, and in our case that created a major disconnect. We expected individualized, interactive instruction. Instead, our son was placed in a small-group setting (up to a 4:1 student-to-tutor ratio) where much of the work consisted of independently completing worksheets while the tutor rotated among students. Parents should also understand the financial commitment before enrolling. In addition to the assessment fee, there is a $250 registration fee, and families are expected to prepay a large tutoring package. We were initially presented with a plan exceeding $10,000 before ultimately enrolling in a package of roughly $3,000. Had the instructional model and financial commitment been clearly explained upfront, we would not have enrolled. Our second session was also impacted by staffing issues while the director was serving jury duty. Our son was overwhelmed by the lack of structure, and the experience highlighted how dependent the center appeared to be on the director's presence. To the local director's credit, she spent considerable time discussing our concerns, was candid about the issues we raised, offered to credit the disrupted session, and ultimately honored the refund provisions of our agreement. Our concerns stemmed primarily from the disconnect between the enrollment process and the day-to-day tutoring experience we encountered. I'm leaving this review in the hopes that other parents can go in more informed than we were.  Before starting with an assessment, make sure you understand what a typical session actually looks like and know all fees and the size of the required prepaid tutoring package.

I absolutely loved Tom's driving school! Its a little bit daunting coming into 24 hours of in-class…read moreeducation, but I quickly changed my mind as I started. Tom doesn't just do the minimum, he goes way beyond any requirements! Unlike lots of other driving schools, he doesn't have us sit around watching gory videos the whole time. He gives lots of real-life examples (he was a firefighter) and most importantly, he gives lots of instruction on all aspects of driving. Going into the class, I thought I new a lot about driving, but by the end, I realized how little I new then! But I certainly know a lot now, coming out of the class! Tom is a truly great guy and totally awesome! I highly recommend him!! Two thumbs up for Tom :)

Honestly, not pleased with my service. My mom and dad both…read morepaid nearly 700 dollars for my incars. I thought the experience would be better considering we were almost paying 1,000 dollars. First of all, they always ran out of time. I scheduled all of my incar appointments from 11-1, sometimes the instructor would not be at my school until 1110, and sometimes I would not get back to school until 130, leaving me to miss a lot of class. Secondly, we must discuss Tom. Tom was very weird. Kept calling me "sis" and i'm not the only girl he'd done that too. Weird nudges on the arm. Weird shit like that here and there. He cussed in almost every sentence, and was so rude to me. At one point I had to defend myself just so he'd shut up. I made a minor mistake on the road and he kept bringing it up over and over and said he "didn't understand why i would make a dumb mistake like that." However, I had Larry the first two incars and he was awesome. Very laid back and polite, taught me a lot. Pls fire Tom he is super weird.

I wouldn't be where I am today without the excellent preparation and wonderful environment of…read moreUrsuline Academy during my formative teenage years. From the lower student to faculty ratio, which provided intimate mentoring and great 1:1 interaction, to the ability to fine-tune schedules to best fit our individuals goals and aspirations, Ursuline values each student and aims to help her thrive and be the best woman she can be. As I am now a PhD candidate in engineering, I can affirm that my early exposure to engineering classes at Ursuline helped provide a strong foundation for my eventual career path. Mrs. Nunez helped expose me to real-world engineering problems, and took us on field trips to talk to engineers in practice. While one could argue that these skills and experiences could be acquired at any school, I truly think that Ursuline is different in that the faculty encourage young women to pursue STEM and other ambitious career paths, particularly in the face of adversity. Published research shows that young women are vulnerable to dropping out of such career paths and losing interest in STEM if they are not immediately perfect (I.e., get all A's) at it. Ursuline professors went beyond the call of just teaching, but actively mentored and coached us in our chosen disciplines. As a result, myself and many of my fellow classmates have achieved advance degrees and significant accolades in our career paths compared to our friends at other area schools. Beyond the academic portion of Ursuline, I was impressed with the variety of clubs and organizations offered. There are clubs for every interest and students are encouraged to start their own if they feel a need for it. I appreciated Ursuline's commitment to free speech and letting students organize and explore causes, extra curriculars, and experiences that were important to them. For example, during my time there, I was able to found the Ursuline chapter of United for UNIFAT, which provided support for impoverished students in Africa. In sum, I would go back all over again if I had the opportunity. And considering high school can be a tumultuous time for many, I consider that a strong endorsement.
