This is where I currently attend for my undergraduate and masters degrees. I am in my final year…read more There are a variety of reasons I decided to rate the university the way I did. On a positive note, the university of Cincinnati has a campus that is stunning with a variety of architectures from classical to modern and everything in between but somehow it works well. The campus feels like a small city since the population on west (main) campus is so large on about a square mile campus. Around campus is burnet woods which is a medium sized park and on the other side of burnet woods is downtown Clifton which has a graeters, movie theater, stores, boutiques and bars. All within walking distance. On the other side of campus are two parks within walking distance Fairview and Bellevue park. All of these parks are something that allow for students to get off campus and relax. Besides the parks Calhoun street and short vine both have bars, stores, restaurants, music venues and more and are right across the street from campus. The surrounding area has a ton of amenities. Regarding the academics of the school. I am provided with three different advisors for academic undergraduate, co-op and academic graduate. My undergrad advisor changes frequently which means they never know everything they need to know. Thankfully I always have been able to find someone who knows an answer to my question. I have had some bad experiences where an advisor was forceful and rude that I couldn't do something when I knew that I could and did end up doing the thing they told me I couldn't. Making sure to read the handbook for your program can be helpful in this way. Overall, most of my advisors have been excellent besides that hiccup. Research is something that is emphasized at the school and is heavily funded. This allows for a lot of opportunities in a variety of research labs. Co-op is something that is required of a lot of students and is something that UC is know for. This allows students to get off campus work experiences that look really good on resumes but also provide students with skills they need to perform well in industry or wherever they plan to go after school. The most negative thing about the school is safety. Although it is a lot better than it has been in the past (from what I have heard) there is always some sort of safety concern. Luckily UC has its own police department and is quick to respond to all of the help poles around campus but in the surrounding area there are places that should be avoided at night. I have heard of people being stood up. For safety and my advisor situation I took off a star. Besides those experiences I have loved the university and all the experiences it has to offer. It is located right near downtown Cincinnati and has shuttles that can take you downtown. It also always has something going on whether that be sports games, festivals, or other student led activities. Something is always going on.

All the food there seemed to be reheated frozen food, cookies & popcorn is what they gad today. But definitely enjoy the free drink tickets that come with Club Arena seats!

I've enjoyed attending classes at each and have obtained a great deal from each. Thomas More is far and away my favorite institution of higher learning. The staff is amazingly knowledgeable and equally affable. The classes are small and personal and that makes all the difference. The campus is small and obtainable. And, the extra-curriculars are brilliant. You'll be doing yourself a huge favor, if you're indecisive about the school from which you'd like to matriculate, and you decide to check out Thomas More College. Check the website: www.thomasmore.edu and talk to a councelor. You'll be hooked and excited that you did... Just sayin'...

The campus is small so all the classes are easy to find. The non faculty staff is great too and are always there to help. Enrolling into the school was very easy and fast. The reason I gave 4 stars is because of few professors that have an outdated teaching techniques and material and it's time for them to retire.

We can't say much yet but they pretty much are like a high school and do what they want when they want and how they want. They cast stones that's for sure. Please talk around and not to just school employee's or the RA's cause I can assure you the RA's are horrible not all but quite a few are. It's NOT a smart move. I can say a fight amongst 3 girls has happened and they took sides and kicked two of the 3 out. Be ware is all I can say.... Literally stay away three are a rip off lies and not Christian at all. More drugs on this campus then in the neighborhood.... they will talk your kid into coming from all over the world to treat them like shit and lie on them. Even when proof is shown and school cops on your side they will lie....

The school has been a top notch place for Christians to further their studies for many years and has also provided itself as a hub in the city for all kinds of activities. Their programs are great and the faculty, including the illustrious Jack Cottrell, are top notch. The seminary is well respected in the field and it feels like Cincinnati sometimes doesn't know how lucky it is to have the school here. If you aren't planning on attending, as I mentioned before, CCU has one of the best views of the city you can find.

I was enthralled walking into this space and the gallery displays were phenomenal! One of my favorite artists was actually there talking about her pieces- and it is always wonderful to meet the artist behind exhibited pieces! She made wonderful sculptures of busts and heads with what I would call brain chaos sprouting out of the tops of the heads. For me- I love art that sparks an emotional response, is something relatable, or something that just sparks my curiosity and imagination. There were plenty of other artists work there too and I loved several different pieces. On this particular evening I was sprinting through town hitting up several galleries- but this was my first stop and made a huge impression on me. The space itself is also wonderful. We were only allowed access to the downstairs gallery, I assume classrooms were upstairs or downstairs (or both) and I could see there were other exhibits, but those were closed. Cincinnati really embraced the NCECA pottery crowd and made sure to have as many exhibits across town as possible!

It's a beautiful building on Jackson Street that was re-done to fit the style of the Art Academy. Inside there is a sprawling atrium that looks up all the floors around the staircases. There is gallery space all over the building and chances are there is some show up. Right now the SOS Political art show is hung up as well as the Visual Fringe Gallery for the Fringe Festival. The Art Academy generously donates a classroom to the Fringe Festival as well for it's use for a few plays and it's a great space for them! The Art Academy unfortunately had a rapid decrease in enrollment since their move downtown, which was to be expected. However, with the revitalization of the gateway quarter (as it's now being called) things should be looking up for them. If you are looking for a great art school for all aspects of visual art and design, this is the place to go!
