I am 19 now, and went to Landen Driving Academy when I was about to get my license. The place is…read morenothing fancy or formal, but my instructor, Trace, taught me so so much and was so funny. He made learning everything fun and not so boring. My whole family has used this place as well and we are all excellent behind the wheel so I would recommend it to all! First of all, they always ran out of time. I scheduled all of my incar appointments from 11-1, sometimes the instructor would not be at my school until 1110, and sometimes I would not get back to school until 130, leaving me to miss a lot of class. Secondly, we must discuss Tom. Tom was very weird. Kept calling me "sis" and i'm not the only girl he'd done that too. Weird nudges on the arm. Weird shit like that here and there. He cussed in almost every sentence, and was so rude to me. At one point I had to defend myself just so he'd shut up. I made a minor mistake on the road and he kept bringing it up over and over and said he "didn't understand why i would make a dumb mistake like that." However, I had Larry the first two incars and he was awesome. Very laid back and polite, taught me a lot. Pls fire Tom he is super weird.

So allow me to do the unfortunate honor of posting one myself. Currently as someone seeking their license my family and I went with the drive rite school owned by Mr Neary, who has to be easily the WORST instructor imaginable, anything negative you can think of he fits it perfectly. The man is old, impatient, grouchy and easily annoyed and even uses profanity at times, he'll dismiss any anxiety you have on the road and tell you to just "leave it at home" or while practicing maneuverability if you say you are nervous he will dismiss you again by saying "well you don't want to be nervous on the test" and proceed to get easily annoyed if you don't get turns around the cones correct exactly on your first couple of tries. He will make phone calls to other students seeking his services mind you, on YOUR TIME and MONEY during YOU'RE LESSON which he will then proceed to gossip and bad mouth said other students of his to you, so you can only imagine what he may say behind your back when you're a beginner driver of all things. Not only is this gross negligence but also a massive safety concern as well as he's not paying attention to "teaching" you WHILE YOU ARE DRIVING. both times I went for his services he would randomly say he'll be out for a week and when you call him he has zero courtesy to return your calls or any intentions to do so. During my lessons with him it was at the tail end of the week, he said on that particular Thursday we were done that he'd call me Friday to schedule further lessons that we already discussed prior, come Friday no phone call, so I call him myself he cuts me off by saying "sorry have to go a thing is being delivered" and never received a call back. I'm making this review not only because I feel like this hateful bitter fool, who only cares about taking peoples money and not your progress and his so called joke of a "driving school"deserves it, but also to hopefully and most importantly stop others especially with kids from getting services from this place. I know it may be tempting to most since he charges cheap but trust me, you pay cheap and you'll get horrendous quality in return. If you don't want your own confidence or your kids confidence completely destroyed by this rude unprofessional behavior I urge you to look into other options even if they cost more. Drive "rite" is certainly NOT the RIGHT direction. Before I end my review I'll add an extra personal note, even one of the maintenance people in my building of all things warned he's a horrible instructor so that should also tell you right there this guy has a long ugly history of his lousy services.

Horrible! Honestly, just go to Bicks instead. I had a very…read morebad experience with my driving instructor -- he had zero patience, even though I'm a brand-new driver. He rushed me to drive on dark streets with no lights, and he didn't even turn on the brights. He also rushed me through my maneuverability without giving me enough time to check my mirrors. On top of that, he kept repeating himself even when I was clearly doing exactly what he told me to do. If you have teens with driving anxiety, or new drivers with little to no experience, DO NOT go to this driving school!
