I was given this package for my birthday from my daughter back in March 2024. The original date of my experience was a few weeks later in April in Coke a cola park in Allentown. They cancelled the day before due to Transport breakdown. They offered a reschedule to October 12th at Pocono Raceway which was actually better. They gave me 2 extra laps for my inconvenience. Well it's today October 11th and since I haven't heard anything, I decided to Email support to make sure it was still on schedule. I immediately received and "Email undeliverable" back. Next step was their phone number which was disconnected. After doing some looking, I saw on their FB page the they folded up shop on August 22nd. No notice, no email, no nothing. Fortunately my daughter booked this through "Breakaway Experiences" and they are refunded her the cost. read more

Once you find the location of the event, you'll be moderately happy you've arrived. It's not cheap, but who said driving a 458 Ferrari Italia is! My wife booked this adventure and was supplied with a phone number of our "personal assistant" Sara who we were to contact the day of the event if we had any problems. Good luck getting her, we only received her voicemail over and over. We followed our Google directions to the address provided at Dover International Speedway, we pulled into the parking lot and saw two large signs "Event" to the right of the entrance and "Rusty Wallace Racing Experience" to the left. Yes, of course we took the one to the left! We are here to have a racing experience....wrong, we went the wrong way! After gong the wrong way, we met another group who were wondering why we saw no Ferraris or Lambos, instead only loud NASCAR's ripping around the track. The Dover guy we found said, "oh yeah, you were supposed to go right at the "Event" sign, people have been making this mistake all morning" Ok, even though we had arrived 25 minutes early, we now had minutes to find the Drive 1 Exotic track. We did find it by indeed going back and making a right following the Events sign. Then we sort of just kept looking for a red Ferrari and a bunch of people because once again, the signs sucked! We found the place eventually and sadness turned to smiles! For the remainder of the time we waited in an unorganized line with one woman signing many drivers in (maybe that was our personal assistant Sara, who knows), then we waited an additional hour past our 1pm drive time, but it finally happened..... I drove a 4 year old 458 Italia....less paddle shifters, less launch controls, less sport mode, and in a parking lot with little orange cones setup so you could never get out of 2nd gear...well, third gear for 1 second before the automatic transmission downshifts. Yes, automatic, all the cars are auto. Honestly though, I can say I had a blast! The ride along guy was cool and didn't mind that I burned the tires up for 10 laps! Yes get 10 laps not 5. It takes 5 laps just to get used to the car. Despite being in auto mode, the car was flawless and ao wonderful to drive. This totally made up for the unorganized start. Btw, the big rig where the merchandise and sign up tent were, also said "Rusty Wallace Racing Experience"...you will not see a Drive 1 Exotics sign anywhere, even though they have our money. read more

This was a good experience, but like others, I found the event hard to find. Once there, I was able to adjust the time I drive earlier. That was cool. There is no training, I did the 2 lap ride along, which I recommend since the driver will be able to take the car out of grandpa mode and really accelerate, brake and turn. Oh, and when you get to drive the car will be dialed down. Acceleration was, meh. The passenger side has a brake and they use it when you are trying to drive! Booo! This really through me off so that I wasn't sure if I should brake or let him. Oh, I paid for 7 laps and he only gave me 6. Bottom line: Fun, but it is not the full experience and there is no training or walkthrough of the car. 5 minutes and your done. I would not recommend this for serious drivers, only for those who want a picture with a super-car, but now I can say I drove a McLaren. read more

Lame. Felt like a drivers Ed class and I maybe got up to 40 mph if that. The course was so small it took me 20-30 seconds for one lap and very curvy as to not allow to gain speed . Terrible. Pros: My husband was able to drive a Lamborghini. Cons: 1. Terrible customer service Booked an appointment online. Arrived on time was told the event is first come first serve. Asked the rep there if she knew the wait time she said she wasn't sure. Asked if I could speak to a manager or someone who could tell me the wait time, her response, "she's much meaner than I am." My response, "I don't care how mean someone is or is not, I just want to know the wait time. Ended up waiting over an hour. 2. The exotic car. Was told the car would be white, red or lime green. As you can see it is an ugly purple. Additionally, my husband felt the car had not been properly maintained hence the engine light was on. With that, he felt the car didn't drive well & experience was poor. 3. The experience: lackluster. The course has one small straightaway but mostly turns. You do not get the full experience of driving an exotic car. 4. Location: ATL, GA. Place was difficult to find. Signage terrible. Some signs labeled Drive 1 Exotic others labeled Rusty... Overall, not worth the money. Wish I would have rented an exotic car for my husband to drive. Wouldn't waste my time or money. read more

Highly recommend you don't purchase this experience. The only driving experience they can provide is you driving to their closed course in your own car. If I find a better alternative, I will edit my comment with a recommendation. My event has been rescheduled twice. The first time they said the car broke before the event, but they only told me about it on the morning of the event rather than the day before (They did confirm it broke the day before, so they could have alerted me in advance). They could have saved me from taking a day off work and a long trip to NJ from MA. They rescheduled it 5 months later and refused to let us change locations even though their policy clearly states that you can. 2nd time, they cancelled the event again. Morning of the event, they texted me claiming the course had too much snow on the track. I thought that was weird because it was about 45 and sunny outside (3/9/2019 Millville, NJ. You can look up weather history if you don't believe me). There was no snow on the track (See attached picture). There were other events happening on the track that day. Event coordinator would not return texts or phone calls. Called their support number from main website and this time they let us reschedule at a different location. read more

If I was lucky I may have got the car up to 40mph on a straight stretch. I have drove faster in my wife's mini van. My advice, pass on this rip off and rent a car through Turo for the day. I payed $100 for my boyfriend to wait a year to drive a beaten up Ferrari. After driving to the location (an hour and a half away from home) we waited two hours for his name to be called and left. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, but we were scheduled at 1 and the person behind us was somehow scheduled at 1:15 even though we had an hour time slot. When we arrived they were still calling people to drive from the noon time slots. To top it all off, after yesterdays events, my boyfriend woke up with sunburn from waiting in the sun all day. My wife purchased two 3-laps as a birthday present. She intended to purchase a real track experience, instead ended up purchasing an autocross experience. The company does explain that on its site, but the site layout is busy and super old format so it is easy to miss some important information. I was 3/4 of my there and got a phone call the event was canceled due to rain. Mind you they have a fine print that says you can't be refunded unless very few and specific reasons occur, and the event was rain or shine. I was driving mid-PM from Northern Virginia to Laurel Park, MD. Those familiar with the area can imagine how frustrating that was as I was stuck in traffic going there and after turning around. Well, at that point I honestly wanted to cancel and get a full refund but them canceling was not one of the refundable options, so I had to re-book for a later date. I re-booked for October 7th, and once I showed up I was charged for two insurances, one for each car, despite the following words on their email. "(If you do not possess this document upon arrival for your reserved driving time, a $49 Vehicle Damage Policy must be purchased prior to driving any vehicle on the course). Policy coverage will be in force throughout your schedule date regardless of which vehicles or how many are driven. The policy will remain in force until the conclusion of your driving experience. It covers any damage with a zero deductible." The track was super short, I was lapping on 18.5 secs so I paid about $250 for 1.5 mins of fun. Driving exotic cars is always fun, and overall I had a pleasant yet super short and expensive experience. I would strongly recommend the company changes its policy and allows people to cancel and be fully refunded. Why "force" someone to have an experience they no longer want? Please read all very carefully, and be prepared to spend more time driving to the place than in the cars. read more

My driving experience was in Saratoga Springs, NY in August 2019. I drove the 590hp McLaren MP4-12C. Nice car, but covered in a awful "electric blue" plastic wrap. Drive 1 Exotics has friendly staff, real super cars, and is an expensive but fun experience. Short wait time, efficient registration. Company will charge you an extra $49.00 for insurance (on top of what you already paid for the registration) if you don't add them to your policy before the event. Co-pilot/instructor has his own floor brake (but no throttle of course) on the passenger seat and will not let you lose control (not push the car anywhere near its potential on the small auto-cross track.) **No, you will not be allowed to drift the car even though it is powerful enough to do so. Instructor will demonstrate car's actual potential if you purchase the upgrade portion where he drives a couple laps. He will give you the option on how "intense" of an experience, I opted for "full treatment" and got it. My heart is still racing and I know a few gray hairs developed in those few seconds. The McClaren is insanely powerful. Even on this type of course the performance capability of cars in this class is amazing. I don't fault the company for having the co-pilot ride the brake, very few people could jump in one of these machines and push them safely without losing control. Biggest downside is the experience ends too quickly. Recommended, but understand you're paying a lot of money for an experience that lasts about as long as a sneeze. If I did it again, I'd opt for the Ferrari instead, which sounds incredible. All the cars are impressive, though. For most people, like me, though, it's as close as we'll ever get to driving a $200K+ supercar. I'm satisfied with the result. read more

BEWARE and READ THE FINE PRINT ON THIS BEFORE YOU BUY. I bought my husband a Groupon for this experience for Father's Day. We waited for them to come to town in November. He wanted to drive the McLaren. Two days before we were supposed to go I received an email stating that the McLaren was not working and would not be an option to drive BUT he could UPGRADE his car experience to drive one of the other cars. When I booked this experience for him there was a choice of a few cars. I hadn't realized that any other car besides the McLaren would be an upgrade but, oh well. We arrived at the place in Phoenix that they were driving at on time to be met with a huge line of disorganized people operating out of a trailer. After hearing the girl try to "upsell" every person that was in line before us, I was glad that I had purchased all the "upsell" items previously because I wanted my husband to have the "full" experience without having to be "sold" on something. They never went over what we had purchased or told us anything about the experience. Just shoved a highlight written piece of paper of us and told us to go down the parking lot and hand it to Devin. We walked down to another part of the track and found a group of people gathered around a very small makeshift track with three cars racing in and round this LITTLE makeshift track. No one there with any sort of company shirt or name tag letting anyone know what to do or where to stand or anything! Finally I found someone that looked like they were working there and asked "Is there someone over here named Devin?" One man wearing all black grudgingly said "I'm Devin" so I gave him the piece of paper. We stood in the sun waiting for over 30 minutes for our turn. I had bought all the extras for this experience. Two extra laps, video, pictures. After a very short trip around this makeshift track.......my husband got out of the car and let the instructor get in to drive. ???????? WHAT? I bought two extra laps so that should have been a total of 7 laps that I paid for. NOPE. Small print states "Ride Along" WHAT??? Why would I pay to tack on two extra laps for a RIDE ALONG?????? I got out the printout I had brought with everything I had bought on it. There it was. RIDE ALONG. Then I noticed also.......10 dollars BOOKING FEE. WHAT???? Why is there a booking fee? Ride was short on about a quarter of what the track was........a total of three pictures of you outside the car.....then a video of the inside of the car while you are driving it. People. you are better off renting an exotic car to drive where ever you would like for the same amount of money as this rip off scamming "circus coming to town" set up these people have. I didn't bother to talk to anyone there about this because I could already tell they were going to make it my fault and judging by their non response to any of the poor reviews on here.....they, in fact, don't care. They just want your money for a rip off experience and then will move on to the next town. I give it two stars just because the concept is cool.......but don't waste your hard earned money on this. Find a better company that does this experience. These guys are snake oil salesmen looking to take you for a "ride" and then leave town. FORGOT TO MENTION: They only had three cars to choose from TOTAL. So all the other cars that they give you a choice of........Do not exist. They are just trying to pull you in.
