This kennel was recommended to me and I'm glad we took them here! Bonnie the owner, lives on the premises which gives you a piece of mind. The dogs had their own little door where they let them go outside and the inside was heated and looked super clean! When we picked them up, they actually smelled clean (which wasn't the case when we took them to a pet resort overnight). They ate pretty decently which also didn't seem like the case when we left them at the other place. Seemed like they were much happier here than at the pet resort and you can't beat the price! We will definitely use this kennel again in the future.

First off - if you gave this museum 1 star YOU ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM…read more This is one of the BEST MUSEUMS IVE EVER BEEN TO. I learned that the Swedes taught Americans how to build log cabins in the 1600's. I learned that rural delaware didn't get electricity until the 1940's. I learned that German POW's in WWII worked on Perdue chicken farms. I even learned that Model T's got modded into Tractors by early 1900's engine hackers. Americans can't remember a time before electricity and it's sad. This museum will show you. It wasn't that long ago! Amazing museum and will return with my kids, my grandkids, and my great grandkids, and maybe even my great-great grandkids if life extension technology gets that far. If the electrical grid collapses and we revert to pre-industrial civilization, I would STILL go back to the museum so I can learn how to plow a field with nothing but a horse. I love you Delaware Agricultural Museum!!!

Some of the farm equipment was interesting, such the apple polisher, and old lawn mower. They had a couple of old fashioned washing machines, too. Inside the museum, there was the oldest log cabin in Delaware, and I could go inside of it. Outside, they had a couple of different buildings that were transferred there from other Delaware locations. To name a few- church, farmhouse, chicken coop, general store, school, and blacksmith shop. I could go into all of them except the church because the museum was fixing it up. These were actual old buildings, and it was very, very interesting to go through them. I like the old general store and the school. If you are visiting Dover for the day, go to the Air Force Museum, have lunch someplace, and go to this museum in the afternoon!

I went because…read morealthough my normal experience with NASCAR is watching on tv the start of a race, falling asleep on my favorite chair and waking up in time to watch the finale, I wanted to see what it's like in person at least once in my life. Although exciting, and the overall experience I had was outstanding, a good part of actually watching the race, to me, was somewhat boring. I didn't end up sleeping in the stands but almost did, and I did catch my brother with his eyes closed. There were about three or four cautions during the race not including the stages or competition caution, and they were for cars that went loose into the wall, or a piece of equipment on the track. Nothing special or spectacular but the one car did catch on fire. Thankfully no one was injured or seriously hurt. It was amazing to see the top cars in this particular race who were on point really take command of the track. The first car that got a lap down was on lap 13 according to my brother. Although COVID rules were being advised, and you needed to wear your mask to get into the track, no one was wearing them once in the stands. It was a mix of on or off when walking around, and wearing when in line to get food or use the bathroom. The facility did not sell all seats so there was space and I was glad they did not sell all the seats to do so. They were offering vaccination shots, so that's pretty cool. They were also giving out free masks. All staff were wearing their masks the whole time. The fan zone included food, clothing, a car show, the military, other car and tire company demos and games to play. I won some stress ball tires and low end tire gauges, and also got a free t-shirt. I loved that you were allowed to bring in your own food and drink as long as you followed their requirements. A hell of a lot of people were tailgating, and my brother hooked up into a cornhole game. Everyone was extremely friendly and well behaved in the stands and also outside in the lots and fan zone. I highly recommend bringing ear protection. Again BRING EAR PROTECTION. I took out my earphones for the last five laps, and I was dumbfounded at how loud the race really is with the sound reverberating off the massive aluminum stands. We were in the last (top) row (46) of the Allison stands and had a perfect view of the whole track. I'd also bring sunglasses, hat, and sunscreen. If you have can headphones, bring them. You could also rent scanners which I did not do, but they would have been helpful. $96 each for the tickets, $10 parking, brought our own food, and an awesome day with family. Was almost a little more expensive when my brother lost his Apple AirPod at the top of the stands, but luckily a fan a row down found it before it dropped to the ground. Congrats to Alex Bowman who won, and did it all after taking the lead during an outstanding pit stop jumping two places to get it. He then held it to the end.

Camping on an Alpaca Farm : - Ahhhhhh.... So much fun…read morecamping with the alpacas. We camped on a small alpaca farm in Preston, MD near Maryland's Eastern Shore. Here's a discount link for $10 off of any stay using Hipcamp ( hipcamp.com/en-CA/i/sonnathomas ). The alpacas were soooo cute but I'll tell you about them in the next section. The campsite was pretty much a huge open field with lots of grass and space to spread out. I believe there was room for at least 4 campsites. Each site came with an open fire pit and table. There was also a porta potty on-site, nice swing-set, and an outdoor water hose near the farm if you needed non-drinking water. This site did not have a shower, trash can, drinking water, wifi, grill, shade, or electricity so plan accordingly. It was very clean and the host were amazing. When I arrived, I was so eager to put up my tent. Once we got the tent up, we used a portable power station to inflate our air mattresses and chairs. We set-up our shower tent and luggable loo toilet with ease. We arrived a little late on Day 1 so we only had enough time to set-up, cook dinner, shower, and have Funny Family Reading Night . We loved it! We set-up the projector and screen inside of the tent and used the portable generator to watch a movie on night 2. I forgot to mention that the farm does have some non-dangerous wildlife including some faulcons that never bothered us, mockingbirds, and butterflies . We cooked at home and used the open fire to heat up our meals in double wrapped aluminum foil (hotdogs, breakfast wraps, sandwich melts etc) . Of course we had s'mores at night . Also, be prepared for an absolutely gorgeous view of the moon while camping. Alpaca Farm Tips : * Pack a portable shower * Make a hand washing station * There's no reception on the farm and nearby streets unless you have Verizon. Bring a hotspot or simply stay unplugged while camping. Because there was no service, I downloaded movies from Amazon prime app in advance. This allowed us to connect my phone to the projector so that we could watch the downloaded movies offline/without internet service. The sound on the projector was loud but you can also add speakers if necessary (some parts of the movie was very loud. We turned it down to avoid disturbing other campers) * Connecting your iPhone to the projector requires a HDMI adapter which is about $50 at the apple store (May be able to find it cheaper online) * Take your trash and recycling with you. Bring extra trash bags to double bags when it's time to transport your trash. * There's no grill on-site so plan to cook on an open fire or bring your own grill. There is also fast food and restaurants about 15 min away from the campsite. * There's no shade so bring sunscreen and/or pop-up tent. Also bring lots of bug spray for flies and mosquitoes. * Bring a portable power station. Our power station charged my phone about 3 times, charge my Apple Watch twice, inflated/deflated our air mattresses, and powered the projector for movie night from Friday-Sun morning. We had about 20% power remaining after our final use (which is great for a small generator). * It's hot during the day and cool at night. Bring a few fans for the day and extra blankets at night. Alpaca Farm Tour ($5) : - We booked a farm tour at our campsite that allowed us to pet and feed the alpacas. The owner, Phil, was so kind, passionate, and knowledgeable about his Alpacas. He takes good care of them. The alpacas basically get a hair cut once/year and their fur is used for fleece material. They are not slaughtered or harmed in anyway. Phil informed us that they don't bite, spit, or kick. They usually move away from unknown humans unless it's feeding time. One alpaca on the farm was extremely friendly (lucky charm). She allowed us to pet her over and over again. She loved attention and wanted more and more hugs/rubs . It was the sweetest experience. After the farm tour, we stopped by their small farm store. The front of their farm store housed a hair salon that was ran by Phil's wife who was also very kind. The second part of the store housed alpaca knickknacks, scarves, clothing etc. I bought THEE cutest handmade alpaca pen from the store. It was great! They also sell firewood on-site. I loved this campsite and the owners were so kind, courteous, and gentle.

The ambience is very nice with a terrific long wall of windows overlooking the greens and there is an outside eating/drinking area. Prime rib dinners, the special of Rockfish with a panko & mustard covering, and a Caesar salad with a Maryland crab cake was ordered. The prime ribs were OK, with sides of broccoli & potatoes, but they came out cold. The rockfish was good as a fish but the mustard was too dominant. The crab cake was delicious and super fresh with the salad. Overall, it was a nice experience; if I had room, I would have tried the Key lime pie but not this time.
