This was my 4th visit and though many…read morecome specifically to lose weight, I come for the opportunity to unplug from the office and enjoy the trails, guest fellowship, Wilhelmina's wonderful food, insite and her delightful stories of life on stage and around the world. A dear friend and I were the only two to book this week and we hiked just over 40 miles during our 5 days. We needed sunscreen & visors the first 3 days followed by our winter gear and even yak traks due to an early snow fall, which I must say added a whole new beauty to the changing Aspens. We were well prepared due to the advance weather forecast, though if needed, Wilhelmina has a wonderful supply of extra gear. The accommodations are very comfortable, the food is lite, fresh and delicious, the views extroidinary and lounging in the hot tub at the end of the day is magical, whether under the stars or with falling snowflakes. The upgrades to the massage room and exercise studio are lovely and it sounds like Wilhelmina has plans for even more. I always drop between 5 and 8 pounds but more importantly feel incredibly refreshed. I have never been dissapointed and always look forward to a return visit.

This is self-care taken to the highest power, presided over by the beautiful and wise Wilhelmina Colvill, who claims to be 78. (You will have trouble believing that.) The combination of Wilhelmina's light but delicious meals and her structure -- morning exercises and rigorous daily hikes -- will not only help you lose weight, but also ignite your confidence. You can do this! Wilhelmina's hospitality is part of what makes Walkabout Ridge extraordinary, along with her kind and funny hiking guides and her lovely home with its stunning mountain views. And what better way to get to know your fellow guests than by hiking with them for four hours a day? There were four of us, and we had such a good time getting to know each other. We could easily have spent two weeks there, but even one week has made a profound difference in our lives.

That fear was unfounded and absolutely the opposite of what we experienced. First of all, the office is immaculate and in a beautiful commercial building in Golden. As we walked in, we were offered a drink and a snack by a very pretty and outgoing woman named Danisha. She really set the tone for rest of the visit. After checking in, my husband met with Lisa who took his blood and did the clinical part of this exam. She was personable, friendly and very very very good at drawing blood. A first time stuck on a blood draw really helps on patient comfort and overall anxiety. She was the definition of professional and skilled. After the blood draw, there was a twenty minute wait in the waiting room as the blood was processed and tested. Once again, Danisha made that time go by faster by chatting and just being her outgoing self. After the blood processed, we met with Robin, a Physician's Assistant that is a walking encyclopedia on testosterone replacement therapy. Plus, she is a complete medical professional that is there to help and not just push drugs that someone may not need or would be harmful to them. Because of a DVT my husband experienced ten years ago, testosterone replacement therapy has risks. Risks Robin very carefully weighed and considered. His blood was sent out for further testing and a consult was set with his primary physician to further ensure the safety of this process. I can't stress enough how professional Robin was during this entire process. If you're looking to "get juiced", Robin and this clinic is not the place for you. This is a real place of medicine for people wanting to correct real physiological problems. The jury is still out on whether he will start this process but we both feel EXTREMELY confidant that Gameday and this amazing staff are on our side and working in his best interest. Nothing about this place feels like money machine that doesn't care for its patients. I/we highly recommend this place if you're considering ED and/or testosterone replacement therapy.
