I had not had a primary care or doctor appointment in many years, and wasn't too excited to navigate starting. Joining Maia was easy, and I have found the staff to be responsive, compassionate, kind and communicative. I had an initial appointment, some lab work and quickly got a plan from Dr. Heather. She is a terrific listener and she takes the time and space to really understand me and my situation. Her follow up communication is quick and excellent. The office has convenient appointments and thorough communication. The nurse is kind and competent. This practice saw my husband and when we recently had our first bout of Covid as well. I am super pleased with receiving primary care here and recommend Maia without hesitation!

After I read less than encouraging reviews on her, I came to the appointment fairly apprehensive and with my guard up. Would she be dismissive? Rude? Interrupt me? Unprofessional? How much advocating for myself would I have to do? The answers are NO! NO! NO! NO! and SHE TOOK EXCELLENT CARE OF ME. I wanted to make a point to come write a review based on my experience today because the others left me questioning and nervous about seeing her. I am a nurse. I am informed and I expect and deserve professional, compassionate care. That's what I got from Dr. Gilder. She was thorough, attentive, professional and tender. She was clearly very well prepared and had thoroughly reviewed my chart ahead of time. She asked thoughtful follow-up questions, listened carefully to my concerns, and worked with me to develop a clear plan moving forward. Dr. Rothman took her time and did not make me feel rushed which is rare these days, unfortunately. I appreciated her attentiveness, professionalism, and the quality of her recommendations. I have had Type 1 diabetes for 26 years and have Graves Disease with thyroidectomy and hypoparathyroidism. I wear a pump and a CGM. Needless to say, I have had lots of experience with endocrinologists and doctors in general and Dr. Rothman may very well be the best one I have ever worked with. She always remembers me and looks at her past notes before coming in to the room. She always asks, listens to, and values my opinions. She looks to help minimize insurance costs and unnecessary tests or appts and is always prompt to respond to emails through the secure health portal. My A1C has improved from 8+ to 6.5 while working with the clinic. She is positive and encouraging, even when my blood sugars are not as good as they should be. I actually look forward to visits with Dr. Rothman - it feels like visiting with an old friend (while sharing waay too much medical information :) ) In addition to seeing Dr. Rothman I also work with a diabetic educator. I am probably overly critical but have had mixed experiences with the educators and now work only with Jenny Madrid, who is equally wonderful and encouraging and offers creative solutions to improving my blood sugars without being pushy. I had a chance to switch to Kaiser insurance this year for better benefits but stayed with United just to keep this team.

I realize some people can be skeptical of chiropractic work but you are doing yourself a disservice if you don't get in here. Scott and Ryan go way beyond regular chiropractic, offering Active Release Technique (ART) and cryotherapy - which is amazing!! (Cold - really cold lol - but amazing!) You will not believe how just a short time in the cryo tank can make such a difference! I am in the gym a lot and it can take a toll - I know when my body is feeling out of sync it's time to see these guys and it always makes a huge difference. I also spend a lot of time sitting in front of a computer for work and my back definitely isn't always a fan - anytime I just feel like I'm tight or out of whack, I call and get in. Both of them are extremely knowledgable and I think the best part about them is they take the time to explain to you what's going on. Each of the rooms have pics of the human body that they use to explain what's triggering your pain and give you stretches/exercises to help with it. Each appointment is a mix of ART, stem therapy, cupping or traditional chiro work, depending on what I need at that time but I always come out feeling brand new. I highly recommend them!

Although I am a lifelong Type I Diabetic, he failed to prescribe antibiotics, then lied to my kids, by telling them it was all my fault. The relationship I have with them has suffered ever since. He he cut off the tip of my big toe, and amputated my entire second toe. I can no longer wear open-toed shoes of any kind. Although I tried to find a lawyer to sue him, no one would take my case.

I'm not one for medical intervention unless it's absolutely necessary, so I wanted to be certain. First doctor was hasty and pushy about surgery and wanted to use bone taken from my iliac crest (very painful) along with plates and screws. The second doctor said surgery wasn't at all necessary, but I just had to be conservative in my activities. Yeah, right, this is Colorado... I'm all about the hiking, climbing, snowboarding, etc. Taking it easy for the rest of my life didn't seem like a practical solution for someone like me. Dr. Leland took time to explain to me risks and benefits of having the surgery. He was not at all pushy, nor was he dismissive of my concerns. I went ahead and had him perform the surgery, and I am so glad I chose him. In my situation, he was able to avoid using plates and screws, he never had to use bone from my hip, and within four days I was completely off of painkillers. I'm healing much faster than the first pushy doctor predicted, and my incisions are already not that noticeable. I thought for sure I'd have terrible scarring. It's only been a little over a month, and I'm already able to walk comfortably without a walking cast. The new x rays show that the bone is healing well and he thinks I will be able to snowboard in just a few months. Amazing. Granted, I'm 26 so I have youth on my side which undoubtedly helps with faster healing time, but still, he's an excellent surgeon. Bottom line: Highly recommend.
