Since they've moved to this bigger location, they've done nothing but grow themselves into a restaurant that has tasteless food, charges WAY too much money or overcharges you, as I will show from my pictures. They seem to have lost all those family values and now just sell food that has very little flavor. What the southerners say is, "they got a little too big for their britches." Today, after a very long time of not going there, I thought to try again as I used to love having their crunchy little hard shelled tacos. Since today is $2 taco day, what better day to go, right? As you can see, from the first image, these are being sold as their $2 tacos. I can assure you these are not even close to being actual or normal sized tacos. They're more like little chips. They got the smallest little flower tortilla they could find, put a little bit of meat on there and some toppings, and that's what they're calling their "tacos." They didn't even have any flavor to them. Then I asked for a little bit of their salsa, which I used to love getting their salsa and chips for free. The girl charged me $1.50 for this teensy little thing of salsa and didn't disclose that to me. I get the bill that I think is going to be $6.00, and when I questioned her because it was over $8.00, only then did she disclose the $1.50. She also did not provide me or my friend an itemized bill even when she took my credit card. If you're going to charge that much money for something so small, the waiter or bartender should disclose that to the customer so they have a choice as to whether they want to pay that much money for something so small. This used to be a great place to eat with really good, tasty food, and now it's just become a flavorless, overpriced mexican restaurant. Very sad. I will never spend my money there again. I wouldn't suggest you do either.

Ordered: Tacos…read moreBurritos Quesadillas Pimp my Chips (Nachos) Pimp my Tatoe (Loaded Baked Potatoes) Pimp my Dawg (Loaded Hot Dogs)   We arrived just before 6 pm on Saturday, to a not so busy afternoon. The location is in the middle of a neighborhood and operated from a food truck. That doesn't stop business, I observed multiple to-go orders being collected throughout the evening. They have a very chill and relaxing atmosphere; lights hung overhead that lined the path to the food truck and soft music playing in the background. Parking is limited and there are approximately 3 farm style tables available for dining outside.   This is a family-owned and operated business in Homestead. Jose (Chef) works in the kitchen with his son and both his daughter, and daughter -in -law, does the orders, and runs the tables. They were all lovely and provided superb customer service.     Although the menu is small, the dishes are explosive in the choice of flavors, which combines a gourmet and street food experience. I can't say one dish was good, they were all delicious and well prepared.   The most unique is the Pimp my Chips which combines two bags of Doritos, topped with meat, cheese, and spicy Cheetos on top.  The Hot Dogs had 6 different sauces and topped with pineapple.   Steak/Asada, Chicken/Pollo, and Pork / Al Pastor are different meat toppings available.     I had the opportunity to chat with Jose a bit and he explained he has been cooking since he was 10 yrs old! Let's say he's had time to fine-tune and create these memorable meals. The price is comparable and inexpensive. Overall this was a fantastic dining experience, everything I had was scrumptious.  You will get real value for your money. Y'all. This food truck is a gem in Leigh Acres and the fort Myers area. I found them on Instagram…read moreand dang am I glad I did. I love tacos and could probably eat them daily. But these birria tacos are hands down the best tacos I've ever had. The flavor was so savory and rich. The quality of the meat was top notch. And the portion was excellent as well for the price. Service was good as well. There were a few tables where the truck wt the location of the day I was there, not sure if that is a normal thing or not. I understand why they sell out often because truly these are incredible. Don't miss this whenever they are in your area.

I really wanted to love Las Gorditas -- the food is great and I always try to support local food…read moretrucks. However, my recent experience left a lot to be desired. First, I have to say the customer service needs serious improvement. I called ahead to place an order, but instead of being properly assisted, I was left on the line while the staff continued to take other in-person orders. There was no courtesy hold or communication, which felt unprofessional and frustrating. In total we had to call MULTIPLE times and was on "hold" for more then 10 minutes. As someone who has worked in hospitality, I understand how busy things can get -- but basic customer service goes a long way in keeping guests satisfied. Secondly, the pricing is a bit extreme, especially when it comes to something as simple as the Hot Cheeto bag. You are paying $6 for a 1oz bag. You can get a whole party size bag of hot Cheetos for less. I get that food costs are rising, but for what you're getting, it feels overpriced. Also, to add that I have tried this food truck multiple times and this occurs every time. The food is wonderful but it is going to lose business if there is not a change. If you are going to offer a phone service then please have it functioning properly. Overall, there's potential here, but unless they improve how they treat their customers and take a second look at their pricing structure, it's hard to justify coming back or recommending the place to others. In today's competitive food scene, service and value are just as important as flavor.
