We went there June 1, 2019 and it was shortly after 8pm - their opening time. I know it was early in the evening but no greeted us or asked if we wanted a drink (there were 5 people working). They have drink specials till 10pm on Saturdays and it didn't matter - couldn't get a drink or a hello from any of the staff we encountered. Won't go there again. But I will say the floors were clean. Glasses were too as they don't serve drinks here even tho the name of the place is DRINK. read more

If I could give this place a ZERO star, I would! First of all, my friends and I went to this place the halloween weekend to celebrate our friend's 30th bday on sunday, and there were at least 13 of us that came in with a limo and at least 5 more were coming on their way. The place looked empty and we thought "great! We'll have the place all to ourselves." The manager or the owner came by to our table and checked everyone's ID. He checked one of the girl who came all the way from Seattle and he said that her ID was fake and it was bending, which all IDs are becoming that way. We said its not fake at all, and he asked for a debit card that has the same name on it and signature which she did of course and he was still insisting it was fake and she have to leave! Omg, how ridiculous is that! I said, "if she leaves we all gonna leave" and i asked him would u really lose all the business because of one person? We are here to make hundreds of dollars of profit for your business, but ur willing to lose us as customers and profit of the night, and he was like if thats how it supposed to be then be it. we were so shocked and left right away of course in disbelief of what just happened. My friend had her bachelorette/bachelor party here and it was a blast. We went on a Saturday night. The place filled up around 11. The staff was super helpful and friendly making sure our party had everything it needed. The DJ's here are great as well. I will be coming back to this place over and over again. I have to say that this is definitely my favorite spot for the burbs to get away and have some drinks and dance the night away. They have a lot of big named dj's there, a lot of special event's going on and great drink packages that I have purchased for event's in the past. Where do I start? My wife and I are celebrating our 1 year anniversary and decided we wanted to find a nightclub where we could kick back, dance, and have a few drinks. Drink Nightclub didn't let us down. The bartenders were great and delivered top notch service (Thanks Debbie and Kallie or Hallie. Sorry but the music made it difficult to hear your name. Nevertheless you were a blast and made great drinks.). The DJ played a nice mix of songs that kept us on the floor all night. The only downside of the night was when some drunk guy dropped a bottle on the dance floor and some of the glass hit my wife's foot. The management at Drink was very attentive to this and made sure the floor was clear in no time. Tom and Nola tended to my wife's needs and made sure she wasn't injured and also made sure we had a great rest of the night. Overall, Drink was a great experience for nightlife in Schaumburg. It's okay... Shame that on the Friday's I have been there the other rooms are closed off. The outside area is nice though, definitely not enough people and quite a few older people as well, but it happens. The music is not bad, but it isn't good either. The bartenders in the main area are a joke. I didn't give them a tip because they were being an asshole and also he shook his head when I didn't. I actually think it's kind of quiet for a club and pretty calm as well. At least there's a decent amount of people dancing. I think the dress code is pretty relaxed tbh. The experience at this establishment last night, on Feb 24th, was downright rude. It was early evening, between 9-10, when my cousins & friends I just had dinner with, all 18 of us adults ranging from 30' to 50's, decided to stop by for a drink and have fun catching up on what's been going on in our lives. The bar was fairly empty at this time, not unusual, since it was what some may consider early for a Saturday night. We were advised not to go up to the 2nd floor since it was closed party so we made our way to an open area on the first floor. As we sat down, an attendant came by to advise us the section we sat is was reserved for others later that evening. We then went to the other end of the bar, again, less than 20 or so in this large establishment at this time. We settled all 18 in another section just to be advised again, that open, empty section was 'closed' at the moment. A bartender then advised us we could sit in a section in the corner by the back bar, so we did. When I asked if there was a back bartender servicing the area I was told no, we would have to go order from the front bar. Simultaneously, another attendant came by to advise us the information we received from the bartender who said we could sit here was mistaken, the empty area was "reserved" as well for later. We said we would move if and when needed once others came but they said sorry, you can move to the smaller high top section, still in the back bar, still would have to get our own drinks. Unreal...We we're all dressed appropriately, just came from a dinner in a fine establishment, and now being treated as if 18 people for no reason were unwanted customers. It's hard to believe I used to go to this location back when it was Alumni Club years ago, heck, I played in their sand volleyball league for 8 plus years back then! But to be treated like this, for a large party of adults that were only looking for a place to be able to sit down across from each other and have a drink and a good time. We left, went over to Escape and were treated cordially and provided a large enough area for all of us to spend time together without a problem. I WISH i could say that i give this place ZERO stars..that's how bad my experience was. I was there for a birthday party with an employee of another location. We were all told that if we purchased TWO bottles at our VIP table, that the third would be FREE. Needless to say that did NOT happen. ..and that was just the start of it all! Walking in was a nightmare because of the doorpeople don't talk to each other. Our understanding was: If there is a table reservation there is to be NO cover for those people..which makes sense, seeing as though they charge $180 for a bottle of ABSOLUTE! BUT per ala Carte stupidity, the girl sitting at the cash register STILL will give you a look of disbelief when you tell her that they don't have to pay cover because they are part of a VIP package. Not a smart cookie they have there. Then the place is dirty. It kind of has the feel of a dingy wanna-be nightclub. The carpet is sticky. The couches feel like they belong in a champagne room. For these reasons, i'd much rather go to Barleycorn and endure the Jersey Shore wanna-bes than be at Drink. Of course, last but CERTAINLY not least, there are the cocktail waitresses. I don't know if our waitress could have been ANY MORE CLUELESS as to what she was doing. She didn't know what mixers they had. She couldn't tell us if they were included or not. She didn't pour a SINGLE drink for anyone at our table ANY of the times she came by, which was 3. Yes, in FIVE HOURS she came by only THREE times. Oh, i'm sorry, should i do your job for you!? AND THEN i'm expected to tip her on a $679 tab that should have been HALF that..!?!?!? I don't think so sweetheart. Over all, don't go to Drink. If you feel the need to hear eardrum-busting music, go to Barleycorn or go DOWNTOWN where those prices are justified. -Disappointed to the MAX. read more

First time at the drink. A very nice setup. There was a $5 cover, no biggie. We did not get the table service. No one was dancing until almost midnight (they are open until 3am). Lots of the reviews say there is a young crowd, but we went on a Friday night and there were all ages here. The mixed drinks we had were $7 each. Bartenders were very happy and attentive. The killer part/downside was the music. If you are coming here to dance and sing to your favorite songs from the radio its not going to happen. The DJ played the same underlying beat all night with little bits of familiar songs (never the whole song) but only a little over half were familiar. I noticed that not only our group, but a lot of others had a hard time dancing to his mixing. We still had a good time - we always do, but may opt for another nearby club if I had a choice. read more

If you watched the TV program Bar Rescue this is the place that you would find that needs rescuing. Jon Taffer who is the host of bar rescue would have a field day in this place. I was trying to get a drink and the bartender was texting on her phone. I'm waving my hands and she was to busy texting. I was amazed to see it, I've seen bad bartenders on Bar rescue but was it real or was it staged. She gave me my drink and charged me $10 I went to the other bar area and got the same drink for $7 how can that be ?????? So I alerted the manager, the place has like 3 bar areas. I went to another bar and guess what,, You guessed it 3 other girl bartenders girls are talking to each other as one has a cellphone and texting. This is like , I'm in the middle of an episode, of Bar rescue? But no its real ! SO I count the number of people at 11pm and its like 30 people in the place. Was I in a bar rescue video? well NO the place just is that bad,, I mean really bad. Just what does the manager manage?, this is a perfect example of a poor managed bar. If this was a TV program Jon taffer would go nuts !!!!. I been there a few times and the entertainment is 1 star at best. the DJ's have this thing where they will play a song from the beginning and only play 60 to 70% of it. and stop it at what I call the meat of the song. then play the next song from the beginning of the next song. as you know the beginning starts out slow as its the introduction. any normal DJ knows to start a song after the 30 sec to 1 minute intro and play the meat of the song. but not here at the Drink they are the worst DJ's, not only Chicago area but planet earth period. The sound system is 3.5 stars as they have a loud system but cheap speakers this means they have many speakers but its a harse sound. my guess is that they don't have any subwoofer's for the base. using 12 inch speakers and not 15 inch speakers and not a 18 inch speakers as the sub base. On a positive note, the lighting is great on the main dance floor the guy who installed and designed the lighting system did a great job. read more

If one person in your party is to drunk at any point, your whole party has to leave. My party was 28 people big, 2 where leaving due to being intoxicated. I get it, saftey but we paid for drink tickets $25 no refunds. And left us out in the cold with no ride. Our bus was supposed to pick us up at 3. Got kicked out at 1130. We sat freezing, no one cared. Also Manger SAM is a drama queen and will lie to mitch the GM about your behavior when you can very polite about being livid about your treatment. This review being put late but thought of putting this out for all anyway. I have been here many times, and I should admit that I always had a great time, except one. For the New Years Eve Party I bought the special package where unlimited drinks were promised.Let me tell you - I paid a hefty amount for this unlimited drink package thinking that I can compensate for it easily. I bought it online and when we handed the print out when we checked in. We were given some fancy band in exchange to be produced when we needed a drink. I put it on my wrist feeling all privileged!! The club had other plans for me instead. As soon as I absorbed the music and the decor, I wished to get a drink for myself. There was this huge huge rush across each of the bar counters. Finally I squeezed myself to the front where the bartenders were supposed to help me fix a drink. I waited for 30 mins were I saw waves of people come and leave, somehow I was the only person not getting attended to. Then I realized that they were only attending people who had cash/card in their hand. After trying for 30 mins I changed to another Bar counter and tried waiting for another 20 mins, when I lost my patience and tried signaling to the bartender to attend me, I was promptly told by the bartender that I was rude(I admit in that case I was, but the bartender did get time for me, but this time I got some free advise if not drink ). She has been taking orders from people right beside me with cash, but she would always ignore me as if I never existed. In short they never attended anyone with the band in their hands for unlimited drink. Feeling cheated was one feeling, but being duped on new years eve was another great one!! I felt a bit consoled when another man walks to me and says that he has been observing me from the opposite side of the counter. He also had the same experience. I went on a Tuesday for $1 drafts. They really made the place up! I love the new decor. I was not a fan of the "kiddie" Mad Mark's Pizza that it used to be. The drinks are very reasonably priced, and so is the food. So, if you want a fun night out in the burbs, that won't cost you an arm and a leg, this is the place to go! The staff was very nice (the women scantly dressed, so if that is your thing, then this is the place to go. I have been going to this club for few years now, my friends and I always get bottle service, and probably spend close to $10000 annually . I wasn't always happy with the service there, however I do like the atmosphere, their outside patio is really nice. Last night I went there with lots of friends, we got bottle service again. The staff said there is a two bottle minimum, and we will get a free bottle of champagne with that. We were told that each bottle will cost $125. We get seated at the table, the waitress asks what kind of champagne do we want, we said not sure, and asked to see the menu, we selected which free bottle of champagne we want and continued with our night. When we were given the bill at the end of the night we found out that the bottle of champagne that we chose was $250 extra, double of what we initially wanted to spend on our bill. No one has ever mentioned that if we chose a particular brand of champagne it will cost more. We didn't even want the champagne, but it came with the package so we took it. We brought up the issue with the waitress, she then called the hostess, and eventually security guards were called to deal with the problem. One guy came up and said he was the manager. He was one of the rudest, and most unprofessional people I have ever dealt with. I explained the situation, said I would be willing to pay for what we originally wanted. He said that he doesn't care, and we have to pay for the entire bill, if we don't want to pay he will call police and we will get arrested for retail theft, and the club will still get their money. We went back and fourth few times, police came, at the end of the night we decided its not worth going through all this trouble and paid this fraudulent bill. This place will stop at nothing to add bogus charges to your bill because they know they can get away with it. What was going to be a $300 tab turned into a $650 tab. This place needs to review how they handle their disputes, and better train their employees on how to deal with customers in a respectful way. I will make sure to spread the word as much as I can so more people know about this fraudulent business. read more

Like a lot of you have already said, Drink is pretty much a wannabe Chicago night club. It is filled with a lot of wired people, but it can be a good time if you go with the right crowd. Basically, do not expect to go by yourself and have a good time. They do have some solid drink specials on Tuesdays though, and lots of open space to dance. Another downside of this place is that they have a cover to get in. A cover in the burbs is just dumb. From a person who lives in Chicago, this place does not even compare to Chicago clubs. This is what mentioned to us...So, we opted for $100...Once we went there wasn't any room left as they sold more tickets than the place can accommodate. When I spoke to few people who works there and even the Manager, there were not at all polite and not responsive. They were like if you want to stay you can else leave the place kind of attitude. Only wine and beer were served and that too till midnight. You had to pay out of your pocket if you want to have hard drinks(Even after paying $100)...I called them after 3 days and told them the experience I had at NYE...Initially, they were like we are sorry for what happened and mentioned that they will refund me certain amount or allow to party at that place sometime. But, the next day when I called, the same person said that we can't do anything. This place has a nice patio and it is pretty big for a club in the suburbs. The music is kind of ok, but nothing special unless you like mainstream Cdj DJ's. Drinks are reasonably priced but with lots of ice if you ask for a mixed drink. This overal would earn 3 starts in my book, but my experience last Friday doesn't leave anything but a single star and even this is too much. I ordered a drink for me and my girlfriend and paid with my AMEX. Did that few times, before we wanted to open a tab. My girl gave the bartender my card and told her to open a tab. Then the bartender explained that they need to pre authorize my card for $50, for which I said in that case don't I will just pay every time. Then she said no, you can pay only 4 times with the same card. I told her then I will use a different card on the 4th time, and this is where the shock came. She just left, started serving other people, before she came back and said she already did the pre authorization and that I need to order if not just leave. This was so rude that it is hard to believe she even did that. I told her I want my card back, when she just left and continued serving other customer. I asked a security to call the manager and in 10 minute she arrived. After explaining the situation she told me that she will keep the pre authorization and gave me 2 drink tickets. I asked her to give my card to a different bar tender so we can be served. No one came after that, I was supposed to ask 3 bar tenders, in order to find out where is my card and order drinks. I am sure I won't go back there, and will advise all my friends as well. Drink is a sad joke. Lets start off with the ridiculous $5 cover for entry into a club half empty in Schaumburg. Sorry, but you're not a club in Chicago. You should be happy people actually want to go to your club, and not charge them entry into a pathetic half empty suburban club (half is being generous). The place is filled with 'Jersey Shore' rejects, old (like grey hair old) people, and creepers that circle the dance floor and just watch you dance as if this is a dance back in high school. To top it off, the music is HORRIBLE!!! Every song is some crappy club mix with a techno-ish beat. It made me not want to dance, and I love to dance. They also gave out these cheesy glow sticks, which were kinda fun but still cheesy. Also earlier in the evening they also had a performer do an aerial routine with sheets of cloth. It was entertaining for about less than a minute until I got bored and wanted her to stop taking over the dance floor. I guess these are the stupid things they waste your $5 cover charge on, NOT WORTH IT. To finalize our disgust in this establishment, the people and security here sucks. Douche bags go around spilling drinks on you and start fights for something they initiated. They didn't kick me out because I wasn't involved, but I saw the entire thing happen. Way to kick out the person who didn't even start a fight, but let the guy who started the fight stay in the club. This club thinks its in Vegas. Bouncers at the door are a joke. The "reserved" system is laughable. I called and ask about reserving a table and was told its a 3 bottle minimum on a Saturday. $600 - are you kidding me!?!? We decided just to show up and see what the buzz was about. We got there a little early and spoke with a server who told us about reserving for $300. Ok - that is more reasonable... but no bleu cheese stuffed olives for martini's and service so slow - we actually started grabbing other servers just to get some drinks. Plus DJ LOVES techno, which isn't bad, but he really doesn't know how to 'mix'...music - just slam. All in all - I guess its ok for Schaumburg - but I've experienced better. read more
