On our way to go camping, we found out that we were running early and decided to stop on and take the tour. Then lunch. Then dessert. The tour was fun, the drinks excellent, and the food was great! Each item, though rather different, was very good. My wife and I both love our noodles and jambalaya is just one of those dishes I can't stay away from. Ended up not needing dinner that night because we were so stuffed from lunch. We will be back.
This place was so fantastic, we went back twice during our 4 day stay in Wisconsin Dells! We sat out on the patio which was very pleasant. Shady, breezy and next to a little river. When we saw the cocktail menu we were so excited to try the Naughty Pickle Martini!! And it did not disappoint!!! It was delicious!! The addition of the balsamic and oil really livens up the flavor!! For food I had the Balsamic Grilled Portabella. It felt like I was eating a rare steak. It was so flavorful and perfectly cooked! The cauliflower mash it sat on top of was so creamy. My boyfriend had the Bourbon Ramen Bowl. He loved it!!! So much he ate it so quick! We also purchased on balsamic vinegar cherry infused and gin pickles to take home with us! Can't wait to visit again!
Stopped in for lunch, as the menu looked good. Nice clean, modern decor and friendly pleasant server. We were seated in the back dining area by the window with a great view of the river. My Manhattan cocktail was excellent, with cherry balsamic and bitters. My wife had the tuna salad which was outstanding . I had the bourbon burger, with a great sweet bourbon glaze and thick bacon; which was excellent. As was my cauliflower mash side. The coffee we followed up with was strong and smooth. Great lunch.
What a great experience at this local whiskey restaurant. Everything from the service to the food was fantastic. I highly recommend trying this place if you're anywhere in the Wisconsin dells or near about region. If you take the whiskey flight, upgrade to the better whiskeys. Definitely worth it. Don't skip the desert either!
Love going here. The people that work here do a great job taking care of you. The food is very good. Huge quantities. Good is always fresh and hot. The pizza is no doubt very good and if that's what you are looking for you found it. However, the real 'gems' in the menu are the sandwiches- meals and burgers. All very good. This place just is simply awesome. If you come to Baraboo to check out the circus or the circus museum, or you are staying at one of the many campgrounds or heading out to Devil's Lake--- make this part of your time and stop on in if you are feeling hungry. Like I said the whole staff here does a great job and they have a very good menu for food items.
I'm sure there are plenty who love this place and I wish it the best, but for the price point this meal, service and ambiance was lacking. Our reserved table (Anniversary) was next to the kitchen (help) door - the restaurant runs into the gift shop which runs into the hostess/distillery tour check-in which runs into the distillery tasting area. It's a lot - on this busy night probably too much.
If you like bourbon/ rye/ liquor/mixed drinks/ amazing food! This is your place. It's hard to know where to start. I love the food! The menu changes with the seasons !! So you might loose your favorite menu item from time to time. If you ever see the SHORT RIB with risotto. It's a Must try !! 10/10. I have had it over 5 times. It's a winter menu item. But I did see it on the summer menu in taco form for the summer. Bourbon ! I will keep it short because I could write a lot. Single barrel 96ish proof is there best. The higher proof is good. There finishes are a try but you either like them or nah. But they are creative and they when limited releases of age statement, whiskey all the time. I think what they're doing is pretty awesome while making good product. Try to sit outside. The river is amazing and it's a cool place to sit! I do think this is a great date night spot but also is a great place to bring kids, try the pizza. They're only knock is service is average, everyone is super nice but the details could be tuned up a little. Overall try to go. And grab a bottle on the way out. Tip. Become a member and you get 10% off bottles
We enjoyed our visit to DGD. The space is wonderful, with nice table spacing. The food is artfully composed. We would return, hopefully for more spirits; especially if we were staying a little closer.
Love this place. Even if you don't like whiskey, you should still come for the restaurant alone! For drinks they have a lot of whiskey cocktails and a couple beers on tap. They also do flights of their whiskeys, only $15 for generous pours, and they're typically excellent. Everything we've gotten here has been delicious, especially the short rib, smoked salmon dip appetizer, and the bourbon bread pudding which is the best I've ever had. Everyone here is very friendly, the food is top notch, and they're putting out some excellent whiskeys (especially the ryes!). Definitely come here!
The restaurant had a nice patio with gorgeous views of the Baraboo River. The food was also good and the drinks were tasty. They specialize in bourbon, whiskey, gin and vodka. They take pride in using locally sourced ingredients which is pretty cool. They offer tours but we didn't partake today. We had the bourbon burger and chicken sandwich with smoked Gouda cheese. Both were great. It was a nice place to hang out for a few hours. The service was also very good. No complaints from me.
Heading home in a food coma- and SO happy about it! This was one of the best meals I've had. My husband and I both had the walleye. Lightly pan fried with fresh dill cream sauce accompanied by new potatoes and asparagus- perfectly cooked. A light buttery touch hit just right in this trifecta. The fish portion was huge. So flaky- just melted into the fork. My brother ordered the heirloom tomato steak salad- he's ordered before and raved about this and said this time it was even better than he remembered. Huge fresh tomatoes and tender steak on a bed of fresh greens and balsamic glaze with blue cheese crumbles. My sister-in-law ordered the salmon- huge portion on a bed of jasmine rice with asparagus. Our pre/dinner drinks were regular and blackberry old fashioneds and an espresso martini. The orange flavor came through in the regular old fashioneds. The blackberry old fashioned was 'dangerously like kool aid." Something awesome about this place is they have free drink cards of the special drinks. I also appreciated that drinks could be modified upon request. We sure will try out the recipes. The espresso martini was a perfect blend of coffee and vodka with a hint of vanilla- no creaminess typical of many I've had. Just pure taste goodness. You wouldn't think we had room for dessert but there's just no passing on the incredible options. We shared vanilla bourbon and rye peanut butter ice cream, pineapple cheesecake, and pistachio brownie with ice cream. TO. DIE. FOR. The setting is beautiful right along the river so we settled into our food coma enjoying the peacefulness of the water and the outdoor early evening night. Our server Candace took great care of us which made this experience so satisfying. There is a nice gift shop with spirits and clothing. All staff were welcoming and friendly. This was a destination dinner for us but it is close to the Wisconsin Dells and definitely worth a stop! Check socials for release events- wish I lived closer to join in the fun but will look for Driftless Glen in my stores for sure.
Their food is delicious and so are their cocktails. We ordered and their service was great. My husband and I are visiting from out of town and this is one of our go to places to eat and visit. After eating lunch I purchased some of their delicious infused olive oils, I wouldn't leave here without it! They are so good! Ambiance is okay. The decor is nice it's nothing to write home about but the view looking outside is something special. I would come here more for their good food and service most of all. We'll be back!

Id say make sure you check your checks bartender tried to charge me a second martini" oh I thought you had a second " she could see I still had the first one... then the manager " corrected" it and the bill was more than it was originally . People make mistakes but sometimes you get the feeling something shady is going on especially as a senior. . I won't be back too bad. Flatbread was good though read more
We had heard it was delicious and we weren't disappointed. My husband started with a blueberry old fashioned. It was very good he was bummed he was driving he would have had another one. I had the chicken pesto pasta, large portion tender chicken. My husband had the driffless glen burger it was juicy and yummy. Service was excellent. Sat near the river very peaceful. read more

Highly recommend! The cocktails are unique and ever changing. My food was the Maple glazed pork chop and would say it a must. The staff is super friendly and helpful. It has an easy, laid-back atmosphere. Will be back when I am back in Baraboo. read more

Driftless Glen has become a regular haunt for me when I'm in Baraboo. I usually just come in for their delicious Bourbon (TRY THE NARANJA! and get a flight!), but tonight I ate for the very first time. I ordered the Jambalaya, and it was fantastic. HUGE plate of shrimp, andouille sausage, chicken, rice, veggies, and spices. Wonderful! The service has also always been spectacular. I haven't yet sat out on the deck, but it looks very picturesque. This is such a lovely gem in downtown Baraboo, right next to the Circus World Museum. The patio sits along the river and is the perfect way to spend a lazy summer afternoon. We arrived mid-day and had the entire outdoor section to ourselves. Given this was our first time, our server was super patient answering questions. Their drink menu is FUN, lots of tasty and creative options to choose from and price point is VERY reasonable! I also enjoyed their indoor shopping area. Driftless Glen had a nice setup to display their own spirits and accessories, bundled gift options and an olive oil/vinegar tasting section. read more

Great price for fine dishes. Do not skip out on the deviled eggs. They are super elevated. The seared tuna was slightly overdone on my salad, but not worth a bad review. read more

Good was good, cocktails even better (bourbon blackberry old fashioned needs to be put through a strainer - seeds kinda suck) . Only thing that sucked was one bartender only for the whole bar, and the TV's don't work so don't go there hoping to watch a game and have a cocktail. read more

We were looking for a great place to stop for drinks and apps while we were visiting the Dells, so I turned to my most reliable source- Yelp. I was not disappointed, Driftless Glen Distillery is a beautiful venue in a beautiful spot. They have outside seating, but since it's October it's very cold out. They had plenty of indoor seating and were able to accommodate our request to be away from other people during this weird time of Covid. My husband and I arrived in time for appetizers. We ordered the pretzels and the Chili con Queso. For our drinks we each ordered a flight and we both found a new spirit that we really enjoyed. His was the WisconGin and mine was the S'more Rivershine. For dessert we split the creme brûlée. It was extremely hard to only choose one dessert from their many choices, so I guess we will have to make sure we come back another time to try more! We didn't opt to do a tasting tour here, but they have a spot right at the entrance where they do their tours and sell their merchandise. I loved that each table had a giant bottle of Driftless Glen hand sanitizer. The room we sat in was separated from the main dining room, so I'm sure that space could be reserved for a special occasion. Everyone who waited on us was extremely helpful and we felt everyone working was taking the best precautions when it came to the Covid pandemic. The next time I'm back in the Dells I will be visiting this pace again! read more

Came here for the tour and go so much more! Due to Covid we didn't get to take the tour of the bottling line but we got to see the distillery and barrel building. The tasting was awesome and it helped me determine what bottles I wanted to buy. The tour guide was great with lots of knowledge about the history of the distillery and owners. Next time we will have to stick around for some food and beverages (although I did get the Maple Old Fashion before I left). Would I come back. You betcha I will!! read more

While staying in the Dells, we looked for a place to eat. This restaurant was a little out of the way, about 20 minutes. I would have driven an hour for it!!!!! Amazing humans, fantastic food, and tremendous service!!! Best steak burger that I have EVER eaten! Mouthwatering walleye, fish tacos to be experienced, and bourbon shrimp that will make you want to stay forever! Too notch American distilled bourbon. Bread pudding for dessert and the bourbon brownie are my recommendations.. This place sits on the back of the river, so the feel is peace. Trust me on this. If you are ever within an hour of this place, go eat there. Make a detour. Your taste buds will thank you! read more

This was our second visit to Driftless Glen for lunch as part of a weekend trip to bike on the 400 and Elroy-Sparta trails. We sat outside by the river. Excellent service. Everyone working there treats customers great. Being a craft distillery, the most important thing to know is their craft bourbon is amazing. And they make excellent cocktails. This visit we shared a bourbon Manhattan, last time is it was a bourbon Old Fashioned. We did a flight of bourbon and brandy as well. Of course we had food too! We shared an Italian Meatball sandwich. Wow, it was great. Our last visit the food was great as well. read more

Wonderfully gorgeous place to stop. My husband loves their bourbon. We've been a couple times but this time has been our favorite. I got the ribs, they don't say they are baby back but they fall off the bone. The sauce is sweet and savory. Husband got a chicken bacon pasta dish that he loved . We shared six wings , which may be my favorite wings ever. They were charred and used a bbq sauce with their own bourbon. We ended it all with the bourbon glazed bread pudding . It was GIANT and absolutely scrumptious. It does have a bourbon taste to it so may not be for the younger kids who tag along. However, we loved it! read more
The 'special' drinks were refreshing and very tasty! Try their cherry mojito and their cannonball - refreshing! There were no appetizers for lunch, so we made the pinsas the appetizers and shared with everyone - also yummy! Our favorite was the cajun pinsa - yummy! Then the main meal - the BBQ burgers! Also very good! Customer service was excellent! One warning though, if you sit outside, there are bees that linger around. Overall, i would return when i visit this small town again! read more
We loved our time at Driftless Glen! The food, drinks and patio situation were great. We split a burger and asian slaw and both were delicious. The bloody was one of the better ones we've had and the old fashioned was up there, too. Staff were wearing masks and tables were spaced out. The tasting was the perfect amount but I wanted to keep trying more! Definitely recommend!! read more

Stopped in while vacation camping at the nearby state park. This is a beautiful, new facility. Seating inside or out on the balcony. My wife had their burger with mashed cauliflower which said was good. She had the local beer. I had the island chicken with spicy potato salad. Both were good - the potato salad is spicy but not terribly hot. I had the Baraboo mule with gin - which had a generous pour! It was, well, different - didn't dislike it but had just the one. The restrooms are clean and again new. The only drawback - our serve could have been much more attentive. We visited at around 2pm on a Tuesday. There were several other diners but not enough to almost feel ignored or forgotten. There is an attached gift shop with all things distillery. The prices are a tad on the higher end. A nice place to try while on vacation. read more

So glad we came here, great experience! We shade reservations for the tour at 4 followed by reservations for dinner at 5. We saw they had a Groupon so we got a little bit of a deal and who doesn't like a deal! The gentleman giving the tour was cool, he went through it at the right speed, he didn't drag it out but didn't push us along where we couldn't ask questions. In the middle of the tour, you do get a small tasting so be ready! Tour was informative and cool to listen to, you can also climb one of the ladders to see inside one of the huge containers which was pretty cool. At the end there's a tasting, you get 5 tastes although he definitely let you try all of them. The last one was a s'mores moonshine and it was absolutely amazing! Highly recommend trying that one if you can! We moved on to dinner from there and the waitress's were friendly. Service was quick and food came out rather quickly as well. Omg, the food was so good! I cannot stress that enough. We started with the Korean tacos and for our entrees we had the burger and shrimp scampi. All of it was so tasty and I honestly cannot wait to go back. The shrimp scampi actually had quite a bit of shrimp, they didn't skimp on the good stuff like most places do. One of the best places we've been to for food of all of the times going to the Dells area. I know this isn't in the Dells but it's so worth the trip. Do not pass this place by! We stumbled upon this on our way to a girls getaway, what a gem of a place and the menu is wonderful. The service was a little slow, but OK and the food along with drink, menus and flavors or well worth the wait. A really neat little distillery shop and apparently you can taste as well. read more

My husband and I had a day date planned, and decided to stop in for lunch. It was packed, which is good for them, but made service very slow. For a restaurant attached to a distillery, you would think they would have appetizers available all the time, not just from 3 pm onward. That was disappointing, as their menu wasn't exactly what I was expecting. At least it was a nice day out on the patio, it is definitely beautiful by the river. read more

So I came into town for my friends birthday that's a week before mine so it was really a double birthday trip. Anyways, she brings me here for a tour. From the moment we arrived we received PHENOMENAL service. (Btw, this review is a year late but owed nonetheless) Okay so they let us know the tour starts in a few minutes and they wanted to make sure no one else was gonna show up. We're in no rush so we're like cool and go to the bar. The bar gives us the first round free for our birthday. Can we say in love? We end up ordering another drink cause you know..... we like to drink. Lol The tour was great. We walked through a door and entered a whole distillery. Our tour guide, I can't remember his name but there's a picture of him below, was AMAZING! He explained the whole process of how liquor is made and the differences. We also went to where they store the liquor in barrels and had a cute photo op. When we went back inside we had samples of what seemed like a million liquors. I've never been on such an entertaining, engaging, informational, FUN, liquor rewarded tour. Lol We had such a good time we cancelled our original reservations at another restaurant and had dinner here. And like the whole experience dinner was DELICIOUS. Driftless Glen is absolutely fantastic! The food is amazing. I recommend the Heirloom Tomato and Steak Salad. The steak was cooked to perfection and so tender! My sister got the Driftless Burger and she said it was fantastic and had the perfect toppings. The Pulled Pork sandwich tasted delicious and fresh. The service is phenomenal. I was with a party of eight and out food was out in about 10 minutes or less! Our waitress was so nice and polite. The atmosphere is great. The noice level is average. It was not super crowded around 12:30. I also recommend sampling some of their bourbon. The Naraha Bourbon was so smooth! I totally recommend. read more
Tasting was excellent and service was clean and up to standards especially during COVID. Sampler was amazing and we went home with a bottle of the rye. It doesn't hurt that the building itself is a fantastic build and has a wonderful ambience about it. Stop by if you are a whisky or bourbon lover.... You won't be disappointed! read more
Enjoyed the tour - a casual time and we were able to take drinks along with us. Enjoyed dinner on their patio next to the river - great ambiance! The filet mignon was cooked perfectly and the potatoes were delicious. Sarah enjoyed their margarita which used their own spirits instead of tequila. Friendly service as well! read more
