Ordered a water heater through Lowes and they apparently have this worthless piece of crap company do their installs. Agreed to a price, had a contract, and when they finally contacted me they told me it would be $450 more than agreed to price. Cancelled order through Lowes. Contacted Home Depot and got a quote for install and ordered a heater through them and was told to contact when heater gets here and they will install. Much smoother process. read more

We called DRF to get a quote for a Home Depot water heater and were quoted $750 for the install + $200 for the delivery on a $450 water heater + tax. We had been shopping around and let them know that their competitors (Lowe's) charged a full service install (including delivery and haul away) for $385. They LIED by claiming that Lowe's used unlicensed plumbers (not true) and the DRF representative was very shady about giving direct answers to the price quote on the phone, making me do quick back of the napkin math to figure out that they were charging a delivery fee etc. Would not recommend. read more

Thanks for the commentary Sandy, I'd like to comment back. Firstly, if you have recordings of the conversation I had with Denice regarding the requirements needed for the price match, you will clearly hear her telling me ONLY that it needed to state "delivery, the unit, installation and haul away" were required. Nowhere was it mentioned that the estimate must mention anything about the permits. I presented you with 2 quotes, both via email and by verifying the email addresses with the licensed professional on Service Magic. It is irrelevant if it was an aol, gmail or the like account. Your mention of the license number for one of the professionals not being a plumbing number is irrelevant as I gave you multiple quotes from other professionals as well. Also, while I agree with you that your initial over the phone estimate and the estimate given from the tech at my house should've been the same, they weren't. You are either lying or misinformed, and I will give you the benefit of the doubt since I have not dealt with you at all. Truth is, I was quoted 973 over the phone, the tech quoted me 927... both was supposedly a basic installation, no frills or alterations for special situations. It was never mentioned, nor did I approve, that conversations were recorded. While I am glad you can review all the conversations with Justin and Denice so you can see I gave many opportunities for them to step up and rectify the situation, which they continually did not take advantage of. I hereby declare that I do not give permission for our conversations to be used for anything, including training, beyond reviewing the facts in this case. The reason I was told over and over that the quote couldn't be matched, after the fact mind you as i got what Denice told me to get, was that the quotes were via email initially and not written down (both which came in written and scanned form shortly after too). Nowhere is it written, your team just made that up as their own preference.. not as policy. The site you posted is just your marketing site with no real information regarding polices, I invite you to update your site and clearly state what is needed for price matching. Folks, you choose... but would you believe a consumer trying to protect others out there, who is spending his own time to write these reviews... or someone at the company trying to discredit their shortfalls? You decide. But I wish I had read the reviews on here before wasting my time, which I continue to do by posting further here.... Bottom line, they had the chance to make this good and earn my business that day, many times... I called back at least 4-5 times as new quotes came in, etc... and they did nothing. I would not trust them to refund any monies from a price match after the fact.... they will invent another reason why they can't do it and you'll be stuck paying $300 more than you had to to install a water heater. Good luck with that. read more

They complete destroyed my floors and carpet. Their services are very expensive, spent $600 for installation only of water heater, hoping it was a trusted company and I wouldn't have to go through the nightmare they put me through. Contacted them several times to have my floors back the way they were before they made the mess but they refused to take responsibility and said they will simply send me a $25 gift card. I did not accept their gift card and decided to warn others. read more

Home Depot installation services referred my hot water installation to DRF. Having used HD installation services for other things and having been satisfied with work and price, I didn't question the DRF price. It was not until after the work was done that I found out how ridiculously high the cost of their installation was. Others (check out ABT) are significantly less. I got sucked in because they offered a price match guarantee - which has turned out to be useless as no one could ever match the requirements of their price match policy. The actual plumbing was was done well, but if you're concerned about price - look elsewhere. read more

Stay away!! FYI........These guys are outsourced by Home Depot Our hot water heater burst early one morning, started calling around for options. After calling a couple plumbers that did not have the model we needed, was referred to Home Depot. Got a quote thru Home Depot, which they pass over to DRF. Quote was $878, told everything was included. I live in a townhouse in the west loop, informed Home Depot the water heater was located on 4th floor and was told "No problem, we deal with these types of installs a lot in the city. This is included in delivery fees." DRF showed up, did a quick inspection are were not pleased with idea of carrying an empty water heater upstairs (one guy was okay, the other was pissed). They decided to re-evaluate my quote, added the following costs: $159 for delivering to a multi family complex (I live in a single family home!!) $129 for delivering to a dwelling with more than 2 floors $90 for "difficulty" delivery $70 for water drainage (my deck with drain was only 4 feet away) There were even more costs added in that I will not include, but you get the point.........wont bore you with the details Final quote was $1,552.29 versus the original $878. The service guy was rude, arrogant and a waste of time. I cant wait to write my next complaint to the Better Business Bureau!!! By the way, they take credit cards because no one can afford to pay cash for their crazy prices PS Feel free to look for the review I wrote for the final company I went with. read more

Interesting that DRF claims each job is quoted based on requirements. If the job took 15 minutes to perform, used about 4 feet of flexible copper water line and a single valve and cost nearly $500, I can't even imagine what a REAL plumbing project might cost. The plumber on site told me it was a standard price that he has no input to, and even asked me if they had told me the cost when I made the appointment. And please make no mistake: I did not choose DRF. Home Depot made that choice for me. I am working with their management now to help prevent this from happening to another unsuspecting Home Depot customer. read more

I called the Home Depot number to get an estimate to install a water heater which was on "sale" - 10% off *IF* it is installed by them. This "DRF" is the company that apparently does the installations in my area, apparently the local contact through the national call center. The prices they quoted were outrageous, ranging from $1900 to $1200 for a $450 gas 40-gallon water heater that would be a very easy virtual drop-in installation to replace the same brand and size. Their 10% off was the bait. I told them absolutely not and said bye-bye. I was going to let it go as far as online reviews, but this morning they called at 10:00am, waking me up. I did not answer, but later checked the number from Caller ID. These people do not understand the meaning of the word "No." Once they get your contact info. they don't let go. read more

The charged for replacing a kitchen faucet was ridiculous. When I called I was given a round about price of 250 to 300 but they actually charged me 324.64 .And that' was a really simple installation, Less than 15 minutes job. Also I should have had Courtesy plumbing do it they were gonna charge me 256 but I thought DRF will be reasonable, but they're not. So beware read more

The service at this company has taken a major dive. I pre-pay and schedule my irrigation turn on and turn off with them every year. This year, my system had a major leak after the turn on. They came back and repaired and billed me. I scheduled the turn off and they did not arrive and complete it on the date scheduled. I called numerous times only to be assured that I was next on the list. On one call they claimed that the technician had actually arrived and performed the work. A complete lie. They assured me that they would come the next day by 10 am. They did not. Finally, I demanded to speak with a supervisor, Olivia, who said that they would reschedule with me for another day. Really, so I can waste another whole day? read more

Was quoted $850 in labor costs by DRF to deliver and install a $625 water heater from Home Depot. Had no other choice because DRF has exclusive access to Home Depot products in the Chicago market and all other outlets (Lowes, Menards, etc) were out of stock. The DRF plumber arrived on scene and immediately said we had to upgrade the installation package because he had to make minor adjustments to the pipe connections (which should be included in a typical installation??), so we ended up paying $1,100 in labor costs alone. Job took 90 minutes, which comes out to a whopping $733/hr. If you can wait a week or two, you'd save hundreds of dollars going with literally anyone else. Quality of the job itself was fine; really just a cost issue. read more

Rich and Anthony came to our home after we had countertops installed. They were very honest and let us know our countertop people did our instalation wrong and recommended we call the countertop people and get it looked at, which we did. Two days later they came back and installed our new kitchen sink. They were real people and we very honest, which is what we liked. DRF installed our water heater and should have connected the overflow to our floor drain. Their technician reported that they could not do that because there was no room in the drain for another pipe. Not knowing any better I accepted that. Fast forward to couple weeks later when another plumber was at our house for another issue. They pointed out how it was incorrectly installed. They pointed out DRF should have made the connection to the drain by putting in another elbow connection to the existing PVC pipe. When I called DRF and asked for them to come back and do it correctly with the elbow connection they said they would look into it but never called back. The way that is installed is useless. And I don't appreciate that a) they argued about fixing it and b) said they would look into it and never followed up. I do not recommend them or Home Depot. read more

Beware of DRF Trusted Property Solutions. This review is to document the total failure of the company Home Depot has chosen and contracted with for delivery and installation of water heaters. My electric tank water heater started leaking shortly after the Memorial Day weekend 2021. Although leaking, the heater was still functioning and the leak was minor, at first. I went in to my nearest Home Depot in Fort Collins, Colorado to order a replacement heater on Sunday, June 7, 2021. The gentleman in the plumbing department was quite helpful and double checked my selection to be sure it was an "apples-to-apples" replacement. He was also VERY knowledgeable. He quickly went into the order screen where he completed my order which included pickup and delivery of the heater and installation. He was clear to say that pickup, delivery and installation would be accomplished by a separate company and that they would contact me the following work day. Part of the order process asked my preferred method of contact by the installation company. I chose text message. I received two emails from Home Depot almost immediately acknowledging the order and identifying the contractor that they have an agreement with. Later Sunday evening I received an email (no TEXT as I requested, just email) from a lady at DRF that was no more than a marketing type introduction. There was a call from DRF on Sunday afternoon. I didn't recognize the number and was not expecting the call until Monday - I do not answer phone numbers that I haven't whitelisted or recognize (once again, no TEXT, just a PHONE CALL). Monday morning I received a call from DRF representative Phillip Besler who took me through the quote and contract process. He gave me a quote of $2068 and scheduled the installation for Wednesday, June 9th. He advised that the installer would contact me by phone either Tuesday afternoon or Wednesday morning. A couple of red flags, that I should have paid more attention to, is the pushy, sales-type manner of Phil with his technical questions appeared to be read from a script and that he refused to give me an itemized breakout of the billing: pickup/delivery versus labor and hourly cost of labor (since he mentioned that it could be higher if they encountered problems). The leak on my water heater was getting progressively worse and I managed to keep up with it by creating a dam with towels and replacing them with dry ones every 8 hours or so. I did not hear from the installer on Tuesday afternoon, nor Wednesday morning. As noon approached on Wednesday, I emailed Phil (responding to a confirmation email from him that was sent confirming the order) between 10:30 and 11AM but did not receive an answer (still haven't). I called his extension and it rolled to voicemail, saying he was not in the office. Rather than leave a message that I expected to be answered no earlier than 24 hours later, I called customer service at DRF and spoke to a rep named Ryan who was quite helpful and researched the order. He advised me that there were obtuse notes on the file that DRF does not service my area (Red Feather Lakes, CO 80545) and that Phil was supposed to contact me. NEVER HAPPENED, AND STILL HASN'T a full week later. I contacted Home Depot about the problem and they assured me that them will train their staff and update their programs to avoid this problem in future (absolutely sure the training will happen as the local folks were apologetic and assured me they would). Unfortunately, Home Depot computer programs (ordering, contracts, etc.) are managed at a national level and I have no hope that the corporation will do ANYTHING to correct this for a small rural community in Colorado. What is really maddening is that the slick shyster (Phillip Besler) who handled the transaction for DRF doesn't have the backbone to contact me at all, much less an apology for having to fight a progressively bigger and bigger leak in my home for three full days. Bottom line, I shlepped the new heater to my home, contracted a local plumber and got it installed at 40% of the price quoted by DRF. read more

Through Home Depot home services My experience with Home Depot Home services was frustrating and costly. Home Depot uses DRF Trusted Property Solutions, who uses Fly Pluming. Can you see a problem, If there is a problem with the work? My experience with a clog +/- 2ft from a PVC pipe access plug, next to the basement sink was: 1. it took 2 charged visits 2. hours of rodding in the catch basin in the back yard 3. charge for a camera that wasn't used and finally (second visit), with a competent tech, who dismissed the catch basin imminently and completed the job in 1 1/2 hours (by access plug in PVC pipe), including clean up. Coast $900.00. ($550 first visit for rodding from catch basin and unable to clear line). Home Depot agent took complaint, said to talk to DRF. DRF agent took complaint (X3), last one said he wasn't a plumber and will check with Fly ( I sent pictures to them). Outcome, DRF couldn't do anything and offered $100 off bill as courtesy. read more

STAY AWAY from this company is right! Our hot water heater went out on Wednesday and I went on line to Home Depot and someone from DRF called me within 5 minutes. I purchased a 75 gallon tank and was told with installation it would be $1360. (the tank was $819 on the Home Depot site). The installers arrived Thursday at 11:30 and Jesse immediately told me my heater was not up to code. I live in Lincolnshire and my house is 14 years old. I was told that to bring it up to code it would be an additional $502. Instead of questioning this I went along because I had no hot water. After they left only 90 minutes later with the installation costing more than the heater I began to think I was ripped off. I went to Home Depot in Vernon Hills to complain and asked an associate from plumbing to price the additional parts they charged me for ( using DRF's sheet). This is what I found on some items as priced by Home Depot (they use the Home Depot logo on the DRF pricing list), a T and P relief valve sells for $2.97, DRF charged $54, a copper saddle valve sells for $7.67, DRF charged $99,a dielectic union that sells for 2 for $4.27 that DRF charged me 2 for $46 and my favorite, a expansion tank that sells for $60 that DRF charged me $181 and it screws in and out NO labor needed what so ever! I am wondering if corporate Home Depot knows that my story sounds SO similar to other reviews on this site. This is how the pricing worked out to be: DRF bundled price for a 75 gallon GE hot water heater and installation, $1360. Additional parts and labor of $504. Pricing at Home Depot: $819 for a 75 gallon hot water heater, 75.38 for parts if purchased at Home Depot( as priced by a Home Depot plumbing employee). Total for the heater and parts: $894.34 (at Home Depot) Total for the labor: $969.89, so for a 90 minute job, $646.00 an hour for labor I contacted corporate Home Depot and began working with Michael who assured me I had come to the right place and I should try to work it out through corporate. After investigating he told me in a recorded conversation that both he and Home Depot find DRF to be competitive and HONORABLE in their pricing. Michael also told me that DRF has a 30 day price guarantee and that they will match others prices in cash. I said to Michael in this recorded conversation that I didn't think any local plumbers or ABT would give me their prices and he agreed with me. Joe a manager form DRF offered me a $25.00 gift card to remove my review from yelp, but at $600.00 an hour for labor they would ring my doorbell and then have to leave. If they come and say they will do it for the price quoted, okay, if they say it will be hundreds more do what I SHOULD HAVE DONE, tell them NO THANKS and show them the door. I'm confident that plumbers and plumbing companies shouldn't be making $600.00 an hour for labor. read more

Very bad experience. I was told on the phone that I would not be charged to come out and look at my water heater since it was under warranty. I was also told someone would contact me with a window of time for arrival on my appointment day. No one called so I called them only to find out that no one was coming and that there was no one else who could come that day. I had explained that I was under time constraints due to the sale of my home when I made the appt. When someone finally came the next day, I was told it would be a $150. charge just to look at the water heater. When I explained that I was told no charge, they said the person I spoke to was incorrect when he told me that. So even though they record all calls and could verify what I was told, they wouldn't honor their word. I reluctantly paid the fee but asked to speak to a manager. She said she'd look into it and then never called me again and also never returned my numerous voicemails to her. Ultimately the problem was caused by the original installers not putting my water softener back correctly when they moved it to install the water heater. They failed to close a pressurized valve that resulted in the water being sprayed on the side of my water heater. Since it was the fault of the original installers, I should NOT have been charged the $150.00 but since no one will return my calls, I could not communicate this to them. Overall, a very bad experience from not showing up when they said they would to being charged when I was told it would be no charge to no one returning my many phone calls, in particular to the manager, Makimba ( not sure of spelling). read more

DRF was recommended to me by HomeDepot. I had/still have a leaky bathroom sink handle. DRF charged me $89.00 upfront, supposedly to be subtracted from my bill after the work was completed. Two fellows showed up. I was immediately told a cartridge was needed, the cost would be around $300.00. Online they can be purchased from15.00 to $70.00. They advised against replacing the cartridge as they said the faucet was old. said it would ve better to replace the faucet unit which all told would run me about $600.00 - 700.00 labor and parts. I am female and over 70, I felt this was a complete scam. Nevertheless, my faucet is still leaking and I am out $89.00. read more

I am not sure what Justin is referring to because I am looking right now and when you click on 287 not recommended reviews the entire first page are 1 star reviews one after another. The second page as well. I didn't even go to the 3rd page. Unless maybe the all 1 star ones are in order from the beginning possibly. I am only relaying factual information. As it just can be seen. I see a larger amount of negative recommended reviews and a lower star rating. I am updating because I clearly can see Justin feels strongly about a lapse between my prior review information and then wanted to discuss the non recommended reviews. Again I just looked an saw the above pertaining to the non recommended reviews. It appeared this way on my computer at least, last time also. I cannot stress how badly this went and they didn't even make it to the installation. First off, the sales guy Joel was awesome. He helped out with all my questions and concerns. He was solid. Scheduled it for Monday the 29th from 9am-6:30pm. I was told I would receive a call 30 minutes in advance (hah). I called around 12:00pm just to check the status and was told I was next in line. That made me feel good, all though it was a lie. I called back in at 6:00pm because I had not received a call yet. Only to have that person call the technician directly who had just pulled into his driveway coming home from vacation. The tech had done 0 appointments that day, period. That was 1 whole day of missed work with nothing to show for it. Re-scheduled it for Friday because they said "for my troubles" they would give me a 4 hour window in the morning so I could actually go to work. I call at 9:00am just to make sure I'm still good, yep you're on the schedule for the AM and should have a call shortly. I wait... no call. I call them back again at 12:00pm only to be told that the technician has me on the schedule for 1pm-5pm today. I even gave them one more shot. I wasn't asking for money off, just time accommodation. Can you come on a weekend to install this so I don't miss anymore work? "No, we don't do that". I cancelled immediately. I ended up going with Care Heating and Cooling because they do my HVAC. It was a couple hundred more to get it done, but when I explained the situation with the other company Care gave me a discount..... now that's service. One of the worst service experiences I've had in a LONG time. Never again. read more

AVOID THIS BUSINESS ENTIRELY!! Needed a new water heater so we went to Lowe's to pick one out. Lowe's person said to contact DRF which we did. Told the DRF salesperson exactly the series and model we wanted. He had trouble finding it but finally said "I found it." He repeated back the details except did not mention the series. After installation I discovered they had installed a Series 100 water heater instead of the Series 300 we asked for; a Series 100 being an inferior water heater. Told them of the mistake and that we wanted the Series 300 installed. Even their recording of the sales call shows their employee made the mistake. DFR refuses to correct their mistake and simply refuses to answer phone calls or emails. Lowe's has been NO HELP WHAT-SO-EVER. I had set up for a water heater to be installed. My husband was quoted $900.78 for the fee. We agreed to this and was suppose to have a call the following morning to be advised when they would be here. No call so my husband called them and was told we was on the list to be called and that that is all they could do. About 2 hours later I called and was told there was no order for installation. I told them I spoke to Pricilla Graves and was advised she did not submit the order correctly and that she was on another line and they would have her call me as soon as she was off the phone. I waited 30 minutes and no call so I called again and asked for her. I finally got to talk to her and explained what had went on that day and she assured me she put the paperwork in correctly. She said the installation fee was $978. When I advised her what she quoted my husband she said they would never charge 900.78- I said ok then she said she had to talk to her manager for a minute. When she came back on the line she said reentered the order and that it was going to be over 1300. (I can't remember the exact total), I advised her this was just an install and she again said she needed to talk to her manager. When she came back on the line she offered to set me up for the next day. I said no they were to come out today. She said because I called so late (started this order the day before mind ya) that she cold not get anyone out same day. She then proceeded to blame it on the computer system. DRF is the authorized installation company affiliated with Home Depot. They quoted me the most competitive price for a new hot water heater which included the installation. I was warned about their dubious tactics - arriving on site and charging additional fees for new piping and valves. Low and behold, the original price quote of $765 jumped to a whopping $1,453. The only good thing I can say about this company is that the service technician provided me with a quote before starting the job. I told him that I needed to think about. I called Abt Electronics, they came out the next day and completed the installation for $811. Abt was a pleasure to work with - and they stuck to their price quote. 02/14/2017 So my frustrating journey with this company never ended. I am one of their clients who got robbed off with their overpriced water heater installation, problem of water leak issue was not resolved and very poor customer service on how they resolve my issue. Other store/business when you are not satisfied with the product or service, they give you a refund or you can return the product. But this company DRF trusted proper solutions, they dont care as long as they got my money of a service and product that I am not happy and satisfied. I am requesting for a refund and return of the 40 gallon water heater installation worth $1942 but there customer service insulted me with a $25 home depot gift card as a resolution instead lol. This is the worst customer service I ever received in my life. I think I am unfairly treated as a client and I cant believe that this company is under home depot. They can take my money but their integrity will forever be marked with this service. 02/06/17 I don't know why Home Depot contracted this company DRF Trusted Property as they cannot be trusted and there purpose mainly is to rip off customers pocket with there over pricing and manipulating clients. If there is an issue/problem to fix, they run off you and don't give a good resolution.I have a very unpleasant experience on my first water heater installation with this company. I was given an estimate for a 50 G water heater wifi ready for $1400 but since 50 G don't fit I agreed to 40 gallon, thinking that it will save me a little bit. However, they charged me $1942 for just a 3 hour 40 gallon water heater installation, which doesn't make sense as I downgraded to 40 G not wifi ready from my initial estimate of $1400 with 50 gallon wifi ready. And not just that, the water leak problem never resolved even with the new water heater and it made me very mad. They never had a good resolution to my issue. I'll never ever use this company for my next project again. Very bad experience. Beware buyers! read more

We used them to replace our water heater. The Water heater was installed perfectly fine, but the workers dragged it up 4 flights of stairs, damaging the stairs all the way up. Then into our home leaving gouges in our entry way. When we called to let them know and to start the process of getting it figured out, the guy (Tad) on the phone was so nice and helpful. Even asked me for pictures and said him and his manager were reviewing. THEN they called my husband (NOT ME) to tell him that they were not responsible for the damage done to the floors by THEIR contractors. They offered us a $125 discount and refused to finish installing the heater until we excepted their terms. Otherwise, they were going to leave us with no water heater AND the damage done to our home and building. When we pointed out the scratches to their contractor they said "Oh well, the dolly's wheel must not have been spinning. we will have to WD40 it" Taking absolutely NO responsibility in the THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS worth of damage they did to our home and building. I would recommend you go elsewhere, and if you are going through Home Depot (as we did) I would recommend asking for a different contractor then this company. Really just unbelievable. Specifically with regards to a water heater installation from a home depot referral, the "basic package" apparently does not include any real plumbing work aside from turning a wrench, even if you point out to the sales rep that the height and diameter of the replacement is 1-2" different than the origional ahead of time -- I did my homework. Unless the replacement unit is an exact match to something that was manafactured 10-20 years ago, prepare for 10-30% price hike to sweat a couple copper pipes while needing to refuse extras like water sensors, extended warranty, etc. Also, I did not appreciate the passive agressive customer service I experienced while trying to work towards a compromised resolution, which I also observed in many of the negative yelp responses. My advise to consumers, evaluate other local "small box" plumbing professionals that will ask for pictures, existing model number, and quote an "all in" price that will both be honored on the job and is considerably less than this company's ultimate version - post change order. Only adding a second star because at least this vendor does not stong-arm you into a fee for showing up, so we were able to walk away from a bad situation, but I'm probably one of the few that will let my water heater leak an extra day rather than feel extorted in the moment. Still, ended up wasting considerable time by both parties. read more

I stopped by close by Home Depot for replacement of water heater, HD letme talked to DRF, its contractor over the phone. I told what model/brand I wanted and where old heater located at my house, I was told 1400.0 including unit and installment, asked any other charges, fees, MISC hidden cost, answer is NO, that's IT. 2 plumbers came next day and shown me billing of 1900.0, asked why $500 more, explained plus this and that... install is good, but why 500 more, they can't give a good explain. This is called hidden charges, DRF! read more

Water heater needed replacing. Went to Home Depot with whom DRF is partnered. Had the job scheduled and new water heater installed in less than a day. Andy the technician did an absolutely great job on the installation ensuring that everything was up to code. When they left you would not have known they were there. Everything was cleaned up taking everything with them (the old water heater) leaving only the box which we were aware of. The best part was there were no surprises, on time, professional installation and clean up. read more

When our water heater began to leak, we called Home Depot for an estimate and DRF answered the call. We knew our older home had some issues being up to code and older piping, so we weren't surprised when the quote for the water heater was a bit higher that what we researched. DRF was on time during the scehduled window, called ahead to alert us of their arrival, were professional and patient as I asked questions, checked some other sources, and challenged them a bit. Afterwards, there was a follow up call to ask about my experience. Our technician did an excellent job of working quickly but professionally and picked up every scrap of dust and mess he made with the installation. He noticed we had small children and offered to leave the giant water heater box to turn into a fort. Between the box and the water heater, our entire family was happy with the service! Next time we need services, we will look to DRF first. read more

Beware of DRF Trusted Property Solutions. When you purchase a water heater at Home Depot at least in the western Chicago suburbs DRF is the installer they use. I had a water heater installed in 2015 with a labor charge of $520. In 2016 we needed an aluminum anode rod that DRF put in for $149. On Oct. 5, 2018, DRF installed a new aluminum anode rod due to the smell of the water, It now is $250, however, I was able to get a senior discount bringing the cost to $200. A few days later, I notice water leaking, I called DRF and someone came out and the technician said anode rod was installed correctly, I have a leak in the 3-year-old tank. Tank says GE, however, Rheem has taken over the GE hot water tanks. DRF told me to call Rheem about warranty and they had technical questions so I called DRF back and a manager called later and we had a conference call with Rheem who agreed the tank was under warranty and DRF should return to Rheem. I had a new tank no charge, however the excessive installation pricing at DRF, no senior discount this time was $620. By the way, Lowe's charges $475 to install a water heater. When I told the customer service rep at DRF they told me Lowe's does not use licensed plumbers, this is not true and I have to assume she was instructed to say this. I will not use Home Depot to purchase a water heater as long as they are using DRF Trusted Property Solutions and Rheem's water heaters leave a lot to be desired too. Please beware of excessive pricing with DRF. Evidently, there are no controls on what they charge. read more
