This, so called, music academy is quite expensive at $60 for a half hour lesson and double for an…read morehour. It would be worth it if the teachers offered a personalized roadmap to students and prepared for each lesson. Unfortunately that is not the case. I took an introductory 1 hour class, and when I expressed an interest in continuing I was given an application to fill out, which included a space for laying out the student's expectations. In my statement I simply asked that the teacher be prepared for each lesson to include having any charts used in a lesson already prepared before the lesson. My application was approved and I paid for 6 months of lessons. At my first lesson, the teacher who had given me the introductory lesson could not remember what he had started me with (which was a chart with 6th notes in the Gmaj scale). I had to show him the chart that he had written out for me to remind him. We then went through the 1/2 hour lesson, during which 10 minutes for set up and break down electric guitar & amp, 10 minutes of showing my progress with the material from the prior lesson. I then sat idle for the last 10 minutes while he charted out 3rds in G maj for new material. He had another student scheduled right behind me. After reflecting on the lesson, I sent an email telling him that I would be using an acoustic guitar with no amp for future lessons to cut down on set up and breakdown time. I also asked that he have charts for new material already prepared before the lesson so that I would have time for question and answers as to technique and theory during the lesson. The day after my email, I received a credit to my credit card in the amount I paid for 6 months of lessons. I then received an email from the manager saying that they could not meet my expectations with the current arrangement and suggesting that I was not a good fit. So basically I was expelled as a student, after acceptance, because I asked that the charts be prepared before class so that I would have time for question and answers. I should also note that I have been playing guitar, singing and performing with bands for 40+ years. I have opened shows for national artists like Martina McBride, Sammy Kershaw, Doug Stone and others. I wanted to take lessons to improve my skill level since I now have time in retirement. I have no clue why my simple request provoked such a response, but I can't hlp but wonder whether my age and experience had something to do with it. This was a very disappointing and disturbing experience. Beware!

Speakeasy is kind of a maze, so I couldn't see them at first, but I could tell after just a few bars that this was no recording. He wasn't just tickling the ivories; he was making sweet, sweet love to them. Coupled with the sexy crooning of Ms. Hoar, this was one lucky piano, and we were quite a fortunate audience. If you're organizing a party and want to turn the classiness up to an 11, I highly recommend him.

My wife's favorite instrument is the harp and I decided to surprise her with solo harp music during the dinner portion of our wedding reception at the Edgewater Hotel in Seattle, WA on October 12, 2019. I could not have asked for a more willing and talented partner in this escapade than Susan Haas. Since the Edgewater ballroom was the site of both our wedding ceremony and the dinner reception - with an intervening cocktail hour on the adjoining terrace - Susan arranged to secretly sneak into the ballroom for her setup and preparation during the cocktail hour. No one knew! Much to my wife's chagrin of not wanting to make a grand entrance, I was able to convince her we should enter the ballroom last, after all guests were seated for dinner. When we did so, we made our way to the dance floor where my wife was greeted by Susan and her beautiful harp and one of my wife's favorite songs. It was a total surprise and a perfect moment, among many that day! Susan's stand-alone sound system and her extensive playlist made for a phenomenal evening and we could not be more grateful for her flawless performance. We collaborated on every song choice to ensure my wife heard one favorite after another, ending with an incredible medley from her favorite movie: The Sound of Music. Whatever your needs, I promise you will be glad you selected Susan for her gracious and helpful personality, and especially her music. Thank you Susan for an incredible memory!
