We opted for the 40 year workmanship warranty, and learned that the GAF shingles manufacture's warranty is good for 50 years. We were informed of what materials and methods would be involved in the process of reroofing our house, and kept advised of changes and milestones before, during and after the 4 day job. I called them and they tested it to see it was an issue with the flashing. They replaced a portion of the siding and had it fixed in one day with some touch up painting the next day for about an hour. I am so impressed with this company and how they stand behind their work. The crew that came out was wonderful and you could tell the supervisor had a lot experience and knew what the problem was right away. While working the job, they went under my house and found the ducting for my HVAC had become detached and let me know. I already have the HVAC company coming out this week. Talk about going above and beyond! If that wasn't enough, I had a part failure in my Enphase solar panels. They had a tech come out right away to troubleshoot. My roof was replaced a few months before I purchased my home, 2 years ago. With the last rain fall…read morea few weeks ago, I had a leak of spraying water entering my bedroom and stains appearing on the ceiling. I got out the invoice from Roof King and contacted them to fix this, under warranty. They strung me along for a couple weeks, not returning calls, etc, telling me they wouldn't honor the 12 year warrantee because I didn't "transfer the warrantee" 2 years ago when I purchased the home. I did some research and found out that in California, contractors have to fix their poor workmanship for up to 4 years, regardless of a warranty. I kindly pointed this out to them and gave them a week to respond, before reporting them to the CA licensing bureau. I got a call a couple days later saying "we will be out today between 1-3pm to fix your leak". While I'm glad they fixed the leak (which I cannot confirm since it hasn't rained yet) I think any reputable business would have fixed a leak 2 years after a roof was completely replaced. I would not recommend this roofer at all. If my roof ends up still leaking, I'm getting it replaced by someone else and not messing with this company anymore.
