Drew has belittled himself in my opinion to scamming people with a $300 plus kit and sometimes it's hard for them to contact the doctor from what I understand and if they ever need to re-order something it's multiple times what they would pay through the regular Doctor No blood pressure check no personal questions your concerns or experiences needed. I do not understand how he would push such a product financial even waiting in an emergency room for a few hours is better than your symptoms or without a doctors actual interaction and proper diagnosis. This is my ashamed of any doctor that would go on TV and push a product without their even knowing their patient or meeting their patient or actually understanding from the are without even a mirror blood pressure test or any other necessary procedure to do an accurate diagnosis. read more

I'm in my 80's, w Medicare and secondary health insurance w Government Employees Health Assn GEHA sent notice that I could be fitted w a hearing aid thru 2 different companies with no cost on my behalf. I had a choice of ENT specialist and chose Dr Sawyer. I have one more "covered" visit before Sept 30 so called and got appt and was 20 min late bc of street closure on 34th and a full parking lot. When I arrived the tech was already seeing someone else and told me I would have to wait 40 minutes. I had another appt across town so could not wait. I called to make another appt and was told their policy considered me a "no show" and I would have to pay $68 "up front" to get an appt. I called and left word for office manager but she never returned call. I then called and left word for Dr Sawyer to call and he never called me. Front office attitude unfriendly and uncooperative. read more

I booked an appointment explicitly telling the receptionist that my son needs a hearing test, they booked it for 2:45 knowing that their audiologist regularly leaves at 2:30 so I came just to figure out that they could not do the test. Of course they take your money for the visit but instead trying to resolve the problem with arrangement that happened by their fault they tell me I have to come again in a week and pay for one more doctor visit. Just because this is how it works there. This is called either scam or complete incompetence. Don't recommend. Avoid this place. read more

They are horrible with scheduling. Their hearing aid tech only is avail a limited amount of hours. if you have to cancel to reschedule they without telling you want to charge 65 dollars. They scheduled me and I had no idea I had a no show... mI hearing aids broke twice it took forever for them to get them back in. they are trash and I would never want anyone in the Deaf community to have to deal with these people!!! Horrible service do not go here... Texas workforce should not use these people!!! read more

I got some water in my ear and was struggling, I was given an excellent sound test by the audiologist which made me feel better for alot of reasons...nose drops and a week later my ear cleared out. What I liked was that I was very thoroughly examined...nothing was just assumed...wow...that was professional! Dr. Sawyer & his audiologist were great! read more

Since my original post the doctor personally called me and informed there was a mistake in billing and that the front desk would be calling me to correct . He was extremely nice and apologetic about the whole deal. The front desk did call me later and the adjustments were made. I was very happy with the result and especially with the doctor himself. Worst experience ever. It took numerous calls to schedule an appointment for my surgery, which he completely botched. My breathing is worse than before. As soon as he took the stent out 24 hours after the procedure, my nose went back to the position it was in before - with even MORE blockage. Yet I continually get bills that his office assured me was covered by my insurance. I have tried to call the accounting person several times and they do not answer nor return calls. I even sent a letter. No response. They DO however send collection notices. I have never had a worse experience with a doctor or surgery. Never again. read more

Never having been to an ENT before I did not realize the lack of care provided until going to get a second opinion after seeing Dr Sawyer 4 times. Though he was nice, Dr Sawyer had no clue what was going on and every visit we "tried something else" basically tried another test. My biggest issue was it seemed like he didn't care since he would ask me what we tried last, or would say we had tried a test that we hadn't even tried, like he didn't even read over my chart before seeing me. I had a throat issue and he barely glanced at it each time. I went 4 separate times and had to pay a co pay each time, before I left we scheduled a follow up appointment two weeks out every time per his request. After one visit to another Dr to get a second opinion the Dr immediately diagnosed my condition. Not surprising, since he actually used the tools in his office and thoroughly examined my throat unlike Dr Sawyer who barely peeked back there each time. His staff is a whole other issue. I had been in several times and have had anxiety about my issue and the staff has still not called me with my last test results. Dr Sawyer said they would be in, in 5 days. It's been two weeks and I've called twice asking that a nurse call me to tell me the results, still no call. They not surprisingly asked for me to come in, to pay another co pay I'm sure. I called to get a medical record release form and it took them two days to email me the form, I filled it out and told them I needed my records sent over ASAP because I was getting a second opinion. No surprise to me, they never sent over my records. Still don't know the results to my test. And still have none of my records. read more

I scheduled an appointment for my mother with Dr. Sawyer recently. My mother had recently suffered a pretty bad nose bleed and needed to see an ENT quick. The receptionist was very kind and this was one out of many places I called that had a same day appointment that accepted my mothers insurance. Dr. Sawyer was amazing. He took a lot of time to help us out which really meant a lot. We were seen quickly and the service provided was extremely helpful. Would definitely recommend. read more

I chose Dr. Sawyer because he was one of the only ENTs who took my new insurance. I liked that I was able to get an appointment pretty quickly and not weeks out. Dr. Sawyer is very straight to the point and on time, which I like. I have a perforated septum and need surgery to fix it. I set up the surgery date and confirmed with the front office multiple times. The reason why I called multiple times was because I never got an estimate on how much the surgery would be, time to arrive at surgery, etc. I planned to have the surgery over spring break because I would have been able to take time off of work. A week before my surgery, I get a call from Jessica and she told me they couldn't do my surgery because the surgery center didn't take my insurance. Then she said not enough time was blocked off for my procedure. I used to work at a doctors office so I know the process of surgery scheduling. Things should have been set up as soon as they knew I needed surgery but no. They waited until the last minute to schedule my surgery at the surgery center and now I couldn't even have it. After already taking a week off work, now I had to scramble to ask my boss if I can get back on the work schedule. After them telling me that I couldn't have surgery when I was suppose to, they told me they'd call me back when they can find a surgery center that took my insurance. When did I get a call back? A month later!!! By then I was almost fed up but I knew I needed surgery so I just said I was going to wait until right before summer, in May. They said that was fine and they'll call me back closer to that time to set something up. Well guess what.. I've yet to hear from this office. By this time I've already talked myself out of doing the surgery. Not to mention Jessica always sounds like she has an attitude on the phone and in person. Sorry Dr. Sawyer but you need to get rid of her! I worked in a doctors office for three years so I know how things should go about and this would not be acceptable in the office I worked in. It's sad how much the office staff/customer care can influence a doctors office. If this office had better employees I'd definitely give five stars since the doctor was great. I give four stars to the doctor and one to the staff. read more

I've had nothing but positive experiences with Dr. Sawyer. I've always been able to get in and out quickly, never any wait. He also spends a long time going through my symptoms and history, and clearly thinks his diagnoses through. He is not quick to operate, which I appreciate, and decided against another surgery, after looking at my cat scans. I know he recently moved to a new office, which may have initially caused some billing issues, but everything seems to be in order now. I have seen a number of ENTs over the years, and I can highly recommend Dr. Sawyer as one of the best. read more

Since I see I am not alone, I will post my situation. Three weeks ago I was scheduled for ear surgery with Dr. Sawyer for tomorrow. I was told I would receive a call the day prior to surgery with the specific time to arrive at the surgical center. When I realized I had not heard from anyone at 1 pm today, I called Dr. Sawyer's office. I was informed my surgery had been cancelled due to their waiting for preauthorization from my insurance. I was also informed I had been called twice this week and they always got a busy signal. This makes no sense since my cell phone automatically goes to voicemail if I am talking to someone. There were also no calls from the office recorded under recent calls. Since my insurance has always been prompt in this regard, I gave them a call only to be informed they had not been notified for a preauthorization. When I got Dr. Sawyer's office manager on the phone with the insurance representative, the office manager was not able to provide a date the online authorization was sent or receipt of a reference number. I sincerely believe she was making up a story and no preauthorization had actually been requested. Needless to say, I lost confidence in the office staff and I lost trust in a physician who would hire people who are incompetent. They offered no apology and expressed absolutely no concern that both my husband and I had to rearrange our work schedule for me to have surgery tomorrow. They only placed the blame on others. read more
