I am embarrassingly remiss in this review on Hot Rod Dreamworks in Canby, OR. They have repaired our car twice now and the results without doubt were better than new off the line. Plus Jack even did some touch up work on my pickup with remarkable results. Without doubt they are second to none. When I first needed repairs a friend recommended Hot Rod Dreamworks and it was the best advice one could receive. So I called them and was greeted by Amanda who is the most friendly and knowledgeable person I could have wished for. She put all my concerns at ease in a very professional manner and said stop in at my convenience for a bid and she'll take it from there which she did. Upon arrival Jack greeted me and made formal introductions to Amanda and also Jeff, an extremely nice gentleman and professional who conducted and prepared the bid. Upon reviewing the bid I said let's do it and called my insurance agent that I wanted Hot Rod Dreamworks to do the repairs. I conveyed the information to Amanda and she said she'll take it from there and provided me with a loaner car and Jeff gave me a completion date. Everything, and I mean everything went exactly as I was told including completion date and time to pick up our car. At the top of this review I said I've had their dynamic service twice and the second one was as professionally completed as the first. INTEGRITY is the one word for Hot Rod Dreamworks! Plus they are community involved and give back. Okay, now the downside which I'm shocked to say is that my subconscious is waiting for another "small ding" so I can go back to them. So the following commercial quote will obviously convey to Yelp readers that I'm an Ole' Geezer: "The quality goes in before the name goes on". That my friends was a very successful commercial slogan for Zenith Corporation, manufacturer of televisions and radios and other great products back in my day but holds true for Hot Rod Dreamworks today! I owe an immense debt of gratitude to Hot Rod Dream Works; they are nothing if not pure magicians! Long, sappy story short, I inherited a 1984 Mercedes 380SL from my father (which I'm pretty sure he loves as much as he loves me), and was t-boned after having it in my possession for a total of 3 days. I was beyond devastated. I was also sure that bringing it back to its near-perfect condition was impossible--take a peek at the attached photos from after the accident, and I'm sure you can see why. I spoke with several auto body repair places that confirmed my fears, but finally got a recommendation to call Hot Rod Dream Works and figured one more person telling me "no" couldn't make me feel any worse than I already did. I am SO HAPPY I made that call. The folks at Hot Rod Dream Works were clear that fixing it would take time, but that they could do it--and, if this is as far as you get in my review, let me be clear: they knocked it out of the park. Not only did they spend the immense time and effort sourcing replacement parts from all around the country (from the exact make, model, and YEAR of my car so that she would sill be as original as possible), they miraculously managed to find the exact paint she needed to be returned to her former glory (check out that after photo!!!). I'd say she looks better today than she did when she rolled off the production line! While their craftsmanship far exceeded even my highest hopes and dreams, I need to give an extra glowing review for their employees. Every single person I had the extreme pleasure of speaking with at Hot Rod Dream Works was a true delight. They were so kind and supportive, helping me through my initial tears and dealing with my incessant phone calls and drop-in visits to check on the (incredible from start to finish) progress on my car. I adore every human (and dog!) I came into contact with at this shop; they are all truly wonderful! I LOVE THESE GUYS!! I would NEVER take my cars anywhere BUT here. Jack and the crew have repaired 2 of my cars over the years. The first time was my little Focus. When I got it back I was amazed how it looked. The hood had been a little crooked when I bought it new off the lot. My car actually looked better than when I bought it brand new. They aligned my hood the way the manufacturer should have in the first place. Couldn't even tell that I had been in a little fender bender. My next car was a dream car. I bought a brand spanking new Mustang GT...Black. She was a beauty. I wanted to get a clear coat on it and a few extra things before I brought it home. A few days after my purchase the dealership called to tell me that one of their employees had run some type of equipment into my back quarter panel. The salesman was calling me to ask if I had a preference of where the car was fixed at. I did not hesitate in telling him that the ONLY place I would trust would be Hot Rod. I was upset that on the day I was supposed to be getting my new car, I was actually finding out I would have to wait. But within a few days I was happy all over again when I got the call that she was all fixed and ready to come home with me. When I picked her up, AGAIN, she looked better than what she had on the showroom floor. Hot Rod's crew are amazing and take pride in the work they do and go beyond to make sure every customer is satisified. I read the bad review that is on here and I had to chuckle. There is no way that what he is saying in his review is true. I'm sure that he wanted the best of the best for his car and then when it was completed, was trying to find a way to get discounted or something. Not one single person at Hot Rod would allow the stuff he is saying, to happen, especially Jack. His reputation is known all over. Hot rod dream works review 5 stars I simply cannot recommend this place highly enough. I hit an animal in my Evo(it's my baby, I love the car). It did some decent damage in several places. My insurance company recommended a few places, they all had terrible reviews. A friend of mine recommended hot rod dream works. So naturally I started doing research. They had great reviews but I wasn't sold. So I called in for an estimate, they told me to swing by after work. (This threw me because all the others auto body shops scheduled an estimate for a week or more away). The estimate they gave me was fair and very similar to the quote insurance gave me. The customer service throughout this process has been top notch also. They even agreed to order aftermarket parts instead of the OEM parts, and I just covered the difference. The quality of work was very high. I'm an aircraft mechanic and I take a lot of pride in my work Due to me needing to install some parts in the same area they were working shortly after I got the car back I had to remove the bumper, revealing all their work. It was all professionally done, no wood screws, no missing clips, no zip ties, just quality attached parts and expertly painted replacement parts. They also cleaned the car upon return. Overall everyone was very nice, very polite, the service was prompt and accurate. They dealt with insurance for the most part. It was a pleasant experience. I highly recommend hot rod dream works for any automotive repairs or upgrades. A few weeks later another part came in for my car, the owner loaned me his personal a company vehicle so I could goto work while they installed it. I really recommend Hot Rod Dreamworks!! 1000% These guys are the best in the business!!! They are super friendly, professional and do exceptional work. Fortunately or unfortunately, I have been a frequent flyer with Hot Rod Dreamworks (HRD) for 15+ years for my own numerous vehicles along with my daughters cars. I have taken the cars in for either insurance covered claims or pay out of my pocket repairs. Jack and Jeff and the ladies always make you feel very welcome. They handle repairs with the insurance carriers smoothly and are very fair with out of pocket repairs. You can work with them to get one of their no frills rental cars for those out of the pocket repairs. Since the new purchase of my lovely lapis blue 2017 Outback 3.6R, it has sadly suffered a few dings. I am particular about my cars and like to keep them nice. The HRD paint job/repair work matches perfectly to the rest of the car and not only stands up any OEM job but I would say superior. They warranty their work but I've never had cause for a claim. I once asked years ago what the most expensive vehicle they painted and I believe it was $1,000,000ish Mercedes. I asked the local dealership who they use for their customers body work needs. The manager Immediately said: "Hotrod Dreamworks". So I went to see if they would give a quote on the damages to my vehicle. The owner himself came out and gave the estimate. Once it was scheduled for repairs and dropped off, the owner personally took me to pick up my rental. My vehicle was done in two days. A couple days later my wife's vehicle was backed into. I immediately took it to "Hotrod Dreamworks". They gave an estimate and we immediately booked it. They did the repairs but 1 part was back ordered due to no inventory at the factory. They called when the part came in and told us to 'just drop by' and they'd install it. Well I did just happen 'to drop by' but it was during the lunch hour break. The owner and his son actually did the part replacement themselves so I didn't have to wait. Job done in 30 minutes. They worked Great together. Over the years, the people at Hot Rod Dreamworks have almost become like family. The first time I visited, I was looking for a shop to do the restoration work for my classic car. I instantly felt like this was the place! They have a passion for quality work, and they are just as excited about your baby as you are. The work takes time, but I knew the wait would pay off and it did, and during the restoration the staff made sure to keep me informed along the way. The work is top-notch, and those who see my car in person agree. It could not have gone to a better place. They literally did make my dream come true. When my everyday driving car was backed into, I did not hesitate in having the work done at Hot Rod Dreamworks. They took just as much car with my beat-up daily car as they did with my restoration! I got a door ding on my new car and chose to come to Hot Rod Dreamworks after getting 3 different repair estimates from other local auto body shops. Hot Rod Dreamworks' quoted price was reasonable, they have several positive reviews, staff is friendly and accommodating, and they have on-site rental cars. I was nervous about the unique paint color of my car not matching after the repair, but Jack explained everything and my car is now as good as new! The repair took the expected amount of time, my car was cleaned when I got it back, and Jack even buffed out a couple other random scuffs I mentioned. I'm extremely happy with the friendliness, customer service, and my repair at Hot Rod Dreamworks and will be recommending this place to everyone! I just have to say that this business ready does care about their customers. I needed some repair work done to my vehicle so I went on Canby Now to get some advice. I was looking for a business people would recommend ( I was looking for a local family owned type of business) The response was almost immediate so many people recommended Hotrod Dreamworks!!! I always do my research so I went to a few other places first. I honestly didn't get that welcome feeling with the others. I went to Hotrod Dreamworks and was just amazed how comfortable I felt with them. They are absolutely wonderful people and I was very comfortable leaving my car with them. The work was perfect!!! After dropping my 5th wheel on the rails of my dodge pickup I took it to Jeff at hotrod, I am very impressed on the finish product, paint is perfect as is the body work, it looks just as it did the day I brought it home from the stealership, and defiantly cleaner than it was when I left it with them after several detail jobs on my truck, I'm glad to say I'm VERY happy with hotrod dreamworks. I poped in several times unannounced just to see the progress, I know it was a pain in the but for them as it disrupts their progress, but they always greeted me with a smile, explained their work, and they had it back in the estimated time even though they all stayed late on a hot Friday afternoon to get it completed for me. thanks again for fixing my baby! This is my fourth body repair by Jack and his team over the last 6 years. As was the case with the previous 3 repairs, I could not tell it had been repaired it looked great. I had backed up my Lexus RX350 with the tailgate opened and tweaked and dented the tailgate, which resulted in one side being about 1/8" higher than the adjacent body panel when the tailgate was closed. Jack said he could try and get flush again, but could not guarantee it and replacing the tailgate was the only way to insure it fit perfectly, but the added was cost would be significant. I opted for him to do the best he could without replacing it and it was perfect. An added bonus was the car came back looking like it had been detailed inside and out. Not to mention it's one big family owning and running the business. Don't let the name fool you either, they work on any age of vehicle, new old, foreign, domestic, and at any degree of complication. Customer service at its finest. Workmanship at its finest. What more could a consumer ask for. My project is a work in progress and this will be the shop I go to every step of the way. Dreamworks does outstanding work I highly recommend them . Customer service is number 1 to them . Took in a 2020 rav 4 that got rear ended and they tore it down and found the rear panel had heavy damage but Progressive insurance would not give them the hours to repair it or pay to replace it , so they paid to replace it out of there profits because they had to fix the car the correct way now that is customer service . This is the second car they have repaired for me and they have done very nice work on both units . I will be going no where else for body work and will let everyone i know ( family and friends about dreamworks) . I highly recommend you give them a try they will win you over . After the February ice storm brought a third of a tree down on my car, I contacted Hotrod Dreamworks. I was able to go in and have the first "look over" the next day. The damage was cosmetic, so I was put in line with other cars that were damaged in the storm. + The work is perfect. My car looks great. All the dings and dents are gone, and my rear light is back. + COVID precautions were followed. + This was my first claim, and I appreciated HD's staff who walked me through the process. - Ugggggggh. The storm! Everyone's car was damaged. I had to wait. But that was out of HD's control. - I wish my driver side mirror could have been fixed sooner. Again, out of HD's control. I have known Jack and his family for years. I have had several vehicles repaired and have recomended countless people to their shop. They work very hard at making your car just right for you. The staff were all very friendly, helpful and profssional. The appointment date for repair was well over a month out, but not an issue as the repairs were mostly cosmetic. This was over the Christmas holladay too. The vehicle was repaired in the time frame planned. The work was excellent. They helped with the rental car. Heaven forbid I should need body repair work again, this is where I will go. I give them my highest recommendation. With any kind of work on vehicles people tend to be skeptical/ that they're being " taken". This is the best car repair shop I have ever used, and I have used them multiple times now. Every single time they are super fast and do an amazing job. I am always so impressed with their people, their promptness, their no bs repair that I would recommend them without any reservation. You will be the happiest you have ever been. Phenomenal quality, phenomenal service. You will not be disappointed. They repaired our family car after someone backed into the side of it. Their body repair performed before the repaint was super, super nice and then the paint was blended so well with the existing paint that you would never know the door was smashed in. They also worked closely with the insurance adjuster and arranged for a rental car. This made this part of the transaction painless. I enjoyed having our car repaired there!
