What I love most is that the teachers don't treat this like just a job -- they treat the kids like family. His first class teachers were incredibly patient and gentle with the little ones, always making sure each baby felt safe, comfortable, and loved every single day. The 2-3 year old teachers also do a wonderful job teaching structure and basic rules, and it really shows -- my son can already count numbers and recite his ABCs! It's amazing to see how much he has grown and learned. We couldn't be happier. Highly recommend to any parent looking for a safe, nurturing home away from home for their little one!

What makes this school stand out is that both classes follow the same weekly theme, so even though the kids are at different levels, they come home excited to talk to each other about what they learned that day. The curriculum is thoughtful and the take-home work is surprisingly rich (honestly, even the adults learn something!). But what truly sets PBMP apart is the teachers. They don't just watch over the kids, they genuinely love them. Even after our kids moved up to new classrooms, their previous teachers still greet them warmly every time they see them in the hallway. We toured many schools before choosing PBMP, Montessori, church-based, traditional preschools, and nowhere else did we see this level of authentic warmth. I've visited schools where the classrooms were eerily quiet and the teachers looked disengaged. For 2 to 5 year olds, that kind of silence isn't calm, it's a red flag. I truly believe the culture here starts with Principal Lena. She's hands-on, always with the kids, and it's clear she handpicks teachers who share her heart for children. As parents, safety is always a top concern. The teachers send weekly photo updates, and if they ever notice even a small injury like a cut on the lip, they reach out immediately to check in. That level of care and communication has given us total peace of mind. Our older one is now graduating and heading to kindergarten, and I can't thank his teachers enough. He's always been a sensitive, high-needs child, and the patience and love they showed him made all the difference. We will truly miss this place.

At the time, my daughter was in first grade and my son was just starting preschool. We had a wonderful experience there. Today, I especially want to share something meaningful. When COVID hit, I brought my children home in 2021, and we have not returned to YangFan since then because I have been working from home and have been able to care for them myself. We still had a couple thousand dollars remaining in our account. Recently, I thought of YangFan again, and I was amazed to learn that YangFan still allowed me to use those funds after six years. That was truly wonderful and far beyond my expectations. Thank you so much, YangFan

He is the heart of the operation--bringing in families, keeping everything organized, and somehow managing countless texts, communications, and every child's details with ease. It's impressive how seamlessly he runs things for the entire school. If you're considering joining YF, it should be because of Dominic. He is trustworthy, attentive, and makes sure every child has a safe and welcoming space from onboarding through learning.

There's a carousal of teachers that come in every few months. They said they have Spanish classes, but have yet to see any language other than Chinese offered. I have heard from my child and others that a male teacher at the school uses foul language in class. The teacher apparently admitted that he did swear at the students. The owners of the academy knows this is going on, yet they retain this individual as a teacher. Scary. I would not recommend this academy to anyone that does not want their child to use foul language, because my child is already developing the 4-letter word vocabulary thanks to TVA! Yes, the driver is consistently late anywhere from 10 to 25 minutes. They won't tell you that they picked up your kid late either. Hey, I'm not paying you idiots to have my child bake in the hot sun or drenched in the cold rain while the driver makes his beer run! Don't let the generic website of TVA fool you, otherwise you will be surprised when you walk in on a school day. Please run from this place - there are better afterschool academies out there - if you join TVA don't say I did not warn you. Peace out. I'm giving this place a 2 stars instead of one because my kid enjoys the candy they use to bribe them with. Also, they like the stale, half eaten Goldfish crackers!

At $150 (or more or less depending on the promotion), I think the assessment itself is worth doing even if you don't end up purchasing their tutor services. After reviewing results, they sell you an intimidating package. I say intimidating because at $75/hour for 1-on-1 tutoring, a 60-80 hour plan becomes a very significant expenditure, but if like me you know your kid needs it then it's worth it. They typically will recommend coming at least twice a week to start, and there's a detailed lesson plan with multiple workbooks for vocabulary, reading comprehension, writing (for English, but they also have math tutoring). One thing I really like are the monthly check-ins where the center director Mona shares exactly what the kid is working on, how much progress, and upcoming lessons. They're also very flexible and accommodating regarding schedule changes, your concerns about the direction of learning or progress, etc. I feel like it's pricey but you do get what you paid for, and actually the rate is reasonable considering it's private tutoring. After the initial package runs out, you'll be able to purchase hours at a little more discount. Anyway, given my son's condition we'll probably be with the center as long as he has homework to do.
