We're actually surprised that this location site only has 2 prior reviews and quite old. But here we are.... Our then 5 yo son was first registered at KC with Ms. Celina and her team last summer for Summer Camp. Kiddo's assigned elementary school is BCE and we debated whether or not to enroll him within the SRVUSD for Kindergarten, but ultimately decisioned not to. However, that is not to take away from the wonderful care he received last year at KC during Summer Camp. Last year was extremely difficult because of the severe COVID restrictions, but kiddo had a blast with Ms. Celina and team. They were attentive, took special care to adhere to COVID restrictions, and was able to pull off safe and fun activities for the kids to do. There's water play, bike or scooter play, walking and van driven field trips to various parks, movie time, playground time, and weekly themed activities, etc. Obviously our kiddo was at the K-2nd Grade group, but there's also the 3rd-5th Grade group in the connecting room. Given that it's now Summer 2022 and we still have some COVID restrictions, the staff are still quite as engaging and prepared to give the best and fun care for the kids. When we were getting ready to sign up for summer activities when the school year was ending, our kiddo asked to register at KC once again for this summer, and he is thrilled to be back. Of note, we didn't exclusively register for the entire summer at KC because there's other activities our kiddo preferred to do on some weeks, but he is still very excited to stay here periodically. He comes home and shows us his completed activities and speaks excitedly about all the friends he met. The hours are also great during summer (opens at 7:30AM and closes at 6:00PM). Celina is always kind and patient with the kids. She is so helpful and always addresses our questions timely. During the pandemic, there were many health policies. She not only sent an email to remind the parents, she also told me in person when I picked up the kid. Highly recommend the after school. It offers a caring, learning and enjoyable environment which means so much to our family.

Because of that foundation, my kids entered public school confident, independent, and ready to learn. We even skipped TK because we knew they were already prepared -- and the transition went smoothly. Five years after graduating from preschool, she still remembered and applied something she learned there--not just the skill itself, but the confidence and independence behind it. To me, that is the lasting impact of Beyond Montessori! My daughter joined Beyond Montessori shortly after turning two and stayed until she graduated from preschool. Before joining Beyond, we were trying to find a suitable preschool. We visited several so-called "Montessori" schools in the area, but none felt right. We knew we wanted an environment that respected children, encouraged independence, and nurtured curiosity; not one focused primarily on academics at such an early age. When we visited Beyond, we were immediately drawn to the spacious playground, the garden, and most importantly, the atmosphere. Meeting Ms. Sophia was what truly convinced us. Her passion for early childhood education and her understanding of Montessori philosophy deeply resonated with us, and we felt our daughter would be in caring and capable hands. I truly believe the culture here starts with Principal Lena. She's hands-on, always with the kids, and it's clear she handpicks teachers who share her heart for children. As parents, safety is always a top concern. The teachers send weekly photo updates, and if they ever notice even a small injury like a cut on the lip, they reach out immediately to check in. I feel for the parents at the other sites where these incidents occured, but I can only speak of my positive experience with them at the Montevideo site. Linda, the site director, is approachable, responsive and makes an effort to say hello to the parents. She calls or emails you on any upcoming activities, as well as reminders about policies, etc. Whenever I pick up or drop off my daugther, I see kids all in supervised activities. There are quite of number of staff who not only supervise, but participate and initiate the activities for the kids. This particular site has done nothing by treat my child with respect and dignity.

I moved back to Dublin around 3 years ago after having lived abroad since my kids were born. My two…read moreolder kids started in 2nd and 4th grade. Coming back from fancy international school, plus having one neurodivergent boy who needed extra help after Covid took so much time away from schooling, I was worried -- what if there's bullying, or bad teachers who don't care about students, or indifference or incompetence. Well we have been pleasantly surprised. Dublin El has been so accommodating and supportive, proactively supporting my child's needs. The principal and vice principal, along with school counselor and psychologist have been involved with the education plan as well (he has a 504 but doesn't need IEP). I haven't had to fight for anything or receive any hostility. They have matched us with wonderful teachers (Mrs. Logan in 2nd, Mrs. Dwyer in 4th). They also put him in weekly support group and targeted training outside of class, in areas where he needs more help. This year, my youngest started kindergarten here, and let me tell you that the curriculum is very robust for these little guys. I volunteer in class at least once a week, and I'm always surprised at how much they're trying to teach the kiddos. I almost think it's too much too early, and may be hard to keep up for some, but they do have afterschool remedial class for those who are falling behind. No wonder Dublin is a strong school district because they start them early.
