Check out the website -- every feline guest at this facility is assigned to their own multi-level playpen -- they can sleep three levels away from their private litter box -- and have full room to climb and play. The facility has been designed so that no guest shares "air" reducing the likelihood your pet will get sick, too. Meg, the facility owner and host, gives boarding pets the equivalent of recess time -- she lets them out of their playpens one at a time so that they can wander around the common area and look out the windows at the free range chickens who roam the yard. The facility is immaculately clean and doesn't smell like pets. If you have two cats -- as we do -- you can board them together. Our cats have gone once and will go again. Concerned about the effect on my cat, I decided to leave him with TTL. Long story short, he had a great time and I had the added benefit of not being stressed out. I would never have left him for this length of time at a typical facility but the roomy cages, views, and free-run time for longer boarders made this an attractive option. Owner is on site so no worries about the nighttime. He just returned from another week and experienced minimal disruption landing or returning. TTL is not on email so give a ring.

We went through a few rescues and found that they were too invasive and rude and judgmental, or they didn't know the dogs at all. Lucky puppy is neither of those things. Our application was easy but I felt asked appropriate questions about us/our history-shows they care where their dogs go. Then I was in contact with someone to go over the next steps. We visited the rescue on a Sunday-it's a dogs paradise. We ended up adopting that day after meeting a few awesome dogs. We keep in contact with our girls foster. They do so much good for the community and really set the dogs up for success. Will absolutely adopt from them on the future!

They closed out by informing me I can drop off items in their donation bin anytime of the day/week, which I did. It has been a week and I am flabbergasted that not once did they offer their condolences or sympathies on the loss of my dog! This is soul crushing that an organization working with animal adoptions has no empathy for people who lose a beloved family member. This action is so contrary to what I experienced 13 years ago when I also lost my dog at that time. Perhaps the UVHS can conduct staff training on how to offer condolences, and be more sympathetic towards donors who lose a cherished family member.

While I was not "looking" for a dog, I have always been an avid animal lover and once I saw that picture I couldn't help but look into the rescue more and this puppy !! Needless to say, the staff at One Tail was informative, helpful, and amazing with their animals. Their adoption process is detailed and may take a few days longer than others, but it is due to the fact that they research and make sure each dog goes to a great and well fitting family. I was impressed that when they asked for references they actually followed-up with each one I gave!!! Which to me means not only did I take the time & put my heart into this process but they did as well! Once I received word that my application was accepted they scheduled the pick-up at a local pet-store. When I arrived they had informed me that my pup unfortunately needed to stop by the vet first since she wasn't feeling well that morning. While I was a little sad I had to wait a couple extra hours to get my little puppy home, I was so happy they took the time to make sure she was happy and healthy before sending her home! And they even offered to keep her an extra couple days at no extra cost to make sure she was ALL SET, I did however take her home that afternoon and she has been an amazing addition to my house ever since!! (for the past year :) ) One Tail is a great organization and the volunteers and employees really care about the animals they are placing, it's not just a first-come first-served situation.
