Throughout the event, there were several instances where important information and expectations were not clearly communicated to us. Rather than feeling welcomed and supported during such an important family occasion, we often felt overlooked and unsure of what was expected of us. What was most upsetting was the manner in which concerns and simple questions were handled. At one point, when I attempted to ask a question, I felt I was spoken to in an unnecessarily harsh and disrespectful way. Instead of helping resolve the concern, the interaction made me feel as though asking a question was somehow creating a problem. After that experience, I chose simply to step back and say very little for the remainder of the event. A wedding is an emotional and incredibly important day for both families. Regardless of who is paying for an event, I believe every parent and family member should be treated with kindness, professionalism, and basic respect. There were beautiful moments that weekend, and I am grateful for those. However, based on our personal experience with the communication, coordination, and treatment of family members, I would have difficulty recommending this venue to another family without encouraging them to have every expectation, responsibility, and detail clearly discussed in advance.

Their catering menu is online and I was easily able to choose what I wanted and pay over the phone by credit card. The delivery fee was $15. The scenery at this location is absolutely breathtaking and the owners Leslie and Michael are some of the sweetest people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting in my life! They thought of absolutely everything and were so helpful to everyone involved in the day!! They laughed with us, they danced with us, they enjoyed this day as much as the bride and groom themselves!! They both have such a wonderful spirit and even their son was just a doll!! The chapel is the cutest little chapel I have ever seen and I totally adore the spiral staircase in the corner!! It made for a great photo!! The terrace is beautifully perfect, especially with the recent expansion!! It is complete with a fire pit, bathrooms, a bridal room and small kitchen area. The little bridal house is lovely and the creek makes for a beautiful backdrop. This was most definitely one of the best weddings I have ever been to!! You could have it decorated almost anyway you like-more or less formal, different colors-whatever you want. The little barn where the bridesmaids get ready is so cute! And I love that the room the groomsmen get ready in has a dart board to keep them busy :).
