It was closing in on the end of the 'season' for them and it showed. (The price didn't come down for the end of season though.) Most every feature, water fountain, back yard, hot tub area, bar area outside looked uninviting. We chose not to sit down in the back yard because the chairs where so filthy. And that was just the common areas. The location is awful. Right on one of the busiest corners in the town. If you were on the front porch area you had to stop talking until traffic passed to carry on a conversation. Non stop traffic. With the window air conditioner in our room, it's like an open window to the traffic noise. And let's not forget the trains that run all hours of the day and night blowing their horn through at least a dozen intersection through town! Good luck trying to sleep. The breakfast was skimpy. Not like the pictures on their website. The pictures are apparently when they first started their business. It's apparently been down hill from there. There are junky looking vehicles parked off to the side of the property. The bedroom plug-in was so old and worn out that when I tried to plug in my phone charger it fell out. You get the picture. Don't get me wrong, Dave and Michelle seem like nice people. For what they charge and what you get, I would not recommend it. I would not recommend staying in Palisade at all because of the trains. Visit, yes; Staying, no.

The cleanliness of the room and private bathroom was noticed and very much appreciated as well as the gifts and goodies in the room left for us. Brad and Gail really made us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived to the amazing breakfast each morning and were so accommodating. Highly recommend this place for a weekend getaway. So many wineries to walk/bike to from here. We will be back!

The food was homemade using lots of the fabulous locally grown fruits and veggies... The first morning was a Belgian Waffle with Hot Apple topping made with the apples from their back yard along with a veggie & cheese omelette's and sausage. Chocolate chip cookies & brownies were the snacks the two days.. Morning two was a souffle, Canadian bacon and fresh plum cobbler.. YUM!! Our room was pretty basic, only downside was the bathroom was across the hall and there was a tricky step that could easily be tripped on at night. I also thought it would have been nice to supply those fluffy bathrobes that most B&B's have if you have to wander the halls to the facilities. The hosts were great, very chatty and helpful if we had questions.

The accommodations and hospitality were outta sight! This was a dream vacation and we are all still talking about it! There was plenty to do inside and out with the rec room downstairs filled with games, cards, a bar, a huge TV that can do 3-D, movies, a ping pong table, and outside we had horses, 4 wheelers, and beautiful Colorado scenery. The rooms were very spacious and exquisitely decorated. We had 13 people in our group and it was not a squeeze. There was plenty of room on the outside decks, patios, various indoor lounges and living rooms to roam around and find a comfy and quiet spot. All the food was delicious. They made us breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert and snacks. We were all very spoiled! I would highly recommend this trip to anyone! This would be great for a family but also for a honeymoon! This is own and run by a family and they really know how to treat you like a king! Hope we get to come back someday!

They had good recommendations for restaurants in the area got in into the kitchen one evening for plates and silver ware when we brought dinner back to the room after a long day. Actually more to do in the area then I knew! Took a wine tour (don't miss Red Fox if you are in the area) Went to the National park in the area, which is a hidden gem!

Private entrance led to a large bright room with microwave and mini-fridge, tv, table and chairs and very comfortable king sized bed. The light colored bedding, long flowy ivory curtains and the sound of the creek right outside our windows created a very romantic/peaceful vibe. Bathroom is large and nicely appointed. There are two private patios, creekside, just down from the house. My boyfriend and I enjoyed sitting by the fire, listening to the water and sipping Prosecco. Then there was breakfast.....SO delicious. Stan made us what I would consider a very cheffy/gourmet meal; salmon, potatoes, eggs, fruit salad, english muffin and his homemade raspberry butter. Coffee and great conversation with Stan and the other guests made for a really nice time. Hummingbirds galore, places to hike and admire nature if you chose, or sit and just relax. It's also close enough to town to be most places within a few minutes. Wonderful experience, thank you Stan! Would 100% recommend and we hope to be back.

Wake up to a beautiful mountain panorama and the smell of bacon, waffles, fruit and yogurt. You can spend a relaxed afternoon reading in one of the quiet, sunny common areas or go exploring the many outdoor adventures available in the area (we've been to the Black Canyon, Needle Rock area and snowmobiling to name a few). The backyard is on the Crystal River and we enjoyed time by the river watching the birds, listening to the river and relaxing. Breakfasts were amazing with fresh fruit, omelets, waffles, stuffed french toast, excellent coffee and an assortment of teas! Lisa, our host was accommodating and friendly but not intrusive at all. She knew so much about the area and gave suggestions to keep us busy. She knew many local business owners and helped us researched a jeep trip, made appointments for us at her onsite spa (facials and massages!!!), told us about horseback tours and tons of local hiking.
