WORST COMPANY TO DEAL!!! The owner Kenneth Chalmers will not return my calls. For over 2 years now I have been dealing with all different employees at Dream Team trying to get my deposit back for work that was NEVER done. They have a very quick turn around of employees, no one stays long enough to follow through.
I originally received an estimate from this company for my leaking roof on a rental property in 2014. The representative went out, looked at the roof and told me I needed to perform maintenance and reseal the roof for a total of $975. I was assured it would take care of the leak and would be guaranteed for 5 years. (have a signed contract to show) not even one month after the reseal, my tenant calls me to tell me the roof is leaking worse and there was a stream of water now rather than drips. I contacted Dream Team and they sent out a different rep, this rep tells me I need a whole new roof - not even a month after THEY assured me the leak would be taken care of by performing the maintenance and reseal. I expressed my anger to the employee and showed him all the subsequent damage to the ceiling, sheetrock and flooring due to the leak that was NEVER fixed. After going back and forth for some time, we agreed to move forward with the roof replacement. Dream Team reluctantly agreed to credit the original $975 I spent with them less than a month before. During the roof replacement, I was told the chimney was in extremely poor shape and I needed a replacement. Again, I voiced my concern that now this was the 3rd or 4th time someone from Dream Team came to the property and this is the FIRST time anyone mentioned my chimney. I made arrangements with Jay to go up on the roof while they finishing up the repairs so he could show me the condition of the chimney. It wasn't falling apart, but I agreed to replace it as I no longer wanted any issues with a brand new roof installed. I left him a $700 deposit as he insisted he needed to pick up the materials and would be back in a few days to complete the replacement. Due to the cold and inclement weather, the chimney replacement was pushed back. I was told the temperature would have to come above freezing before any chimney work could be done. So I waited patiently. However, after several phone calls and messages to Jay (the employee who showed me the chimney, wrote up the contract and took my deposit) there was no response. I called the office several times and was told they were looking into it. The explanation I received from there was that Jay is no longer employed at Dream Team. I explained to them at this point, I do NOT want my chimney replaced and Dream Team does not have authorization to go on my roof. I told them regardless, Jay represented the company when he repaired my roof, wrote the contract and accepted my deposit to purchase materials. I requested a full refund. I emailed and faxed the contract to Dream Team. I spoke with every employee that picked up the phone, and each time, I'm told the supervisor or owner will get back to me. On March 23, after several weeks of calling Dream Team, I spoke with an employee Carnita over the phone. She informed me the supervisor will issue a refund of $700 within 30 days. The week of April 25, I called to ask if payment was issued. Carnita is no longer employed there and I reexplained the whole situation to the employee on the line. She assured me she will let the owner know when he gets back from training. 2 days later I call and spoke to Diana, she tells me that the owner is out and she will ask him to call me. On June 26, 2016 I called Dream Team as my final attempt to resolve this matter with them, I asked Diana to please have the owner call me directly. He still has not called and probably wont. Dream Team is atrocious to deal with. They took my money for services that they never intended on providing in the first place. I regret using this company. read more
