I am so upset. I have been here several times for pedicures the women have always been amazing. I went to get a gel manicure and a pedicure this time. I was there 2.5 hours total and most of that time was waiting with my feet in the water. Then the man literally made he hold my leg up to finish putting the polish on under the manicure table instead of in the pedi chair. I have pretty severe back pain this isn't an easy task for me. Granted he was not told that, it's still unprofessional. The manicure was not a manicure at all. No lotion, no cuticle grooming, no nail cleaning nothing but nail shaping and polish that isn't even applied very well. I figured maybe there was a miscommunication and he thought I just wanted a color applied no manicure but when I went to pay he said $90. Online says that a deluxe pedicure and collagen manicure combo cost $90 (Cash. Credit is more) So I asked "a manicure gets no cuticle care, lotion or anything?" He put some cuticle oil on me and squirted lotion on my arms while I was standing at the front desk to pay. I work 3 jobs almost 60 hours a week I ALWAYS tip well, I bring my friends and gram here. I really just wanted a relaxing treat instead I could cry cause I feel like I need to find a new nail salon, my nails look like I did it myself, I was on edge the whole time thinking this can't be right and there were other things that made this experience the opposite of relaxing but we're human errors that just happen sometimes and I was understanding about but pairing it all just made me extremely sad. Not even 4 hours after I left the nail polish in my toes fell off. LOL read more

Kevin is very rude. I had a hard time understanding the different type of nails they do. I asked questions. while the lady was doing my nails, I was talking with her. Kevin interrupted and said I talk to much. The lady doing my nails and kevins client laughed. I sat the rest of time in silence. I wish I would have walked out and not paid but I didn't want to look as low as he made himself look. It was my first time and I had a hard time understanding them but I treated them so well. My feelings were hurt and embarrassed. read more

I first came to Somerset in 2019 and was immediately told about how great Kevin and staff were. Fast forward to three years later and they are reliably where I get my nails done in south central Kentucky. They are always busy, but always greet everyone kindly and get to people quickly. RARELY have a had a wait at all. You typically see everyone who works there when you are getting service because of how they uniquely rotate and I really like it because everyone is so friendly and I've come to know all about their lives and families. The interior is beautifully decorated and comfortable, their footbaths and foot massages are fabulous, their offerings are diverse and they are always very professionally done. If you're at Lake Cumberland and you need a mani-pedi, this is your place. read more

I got a mani pedi this week and was very disappointed. When the manicurist walked up, she was carrying an instrument tray she had just used on the customer next to me. When I questioned her about using sterile equipment, she said it was. I said I saw her just use them. I kept questioning her and she gave the instruments a squirt of alcohol. I almost walked out, but I didn't. When I got home almost all my finger nails had sharp uncut tails on the edge of each nail. I will never go back!!! read more

I'd been looking for a nail salon in Somerset to use because we spend a lot of time here in the summer. I tried Dream Nails this week and was very pleased! Their approach is a bit different; with different techs doing different steps in the mani/pedi process. A Latina lady did a fabulous foot scrub and massage. I was a bit taken back when a young girl of maybe 12 or 13 used the drill to remove my old polish after soaking my hands! But, a wonderful Asian man did the actual dip process on my hands and the gel on my feet. He did a beautiful job and he was very gentle. I'm very pleased with the results and will be back! read more

This was the second visit to this salon. I wasn't pleased the first time but thought I would give them a second chance. This time was actually worse than the first time. This place is like a 3-Ring circus. I told them what I wanted, warm water to soak in and my toe nails to be cut short. After the second person who tag teamed my pedicure, they still hadn't done what I requested. Forty minutes later & 2 different people working in my pedicure, I decided to walk out. Lots of stuff going on, busy place, but not what I am looking for! I left, went home & gave myself a good pedicure! read more

I visit Lake Cumberland every summer with family and friends. I am from Michigan. I had my nails done before my trip and WAS NOT HAPPY with them. Poor shape and started chipping already. Kevin fixed me up and gave me exactly what I was hoping for in Michigan. He even cut me a deal because I was so upset with my nails. It was on my bday too! :) thank you for the awesome experience on my birthday, and we WILL be getting our nails done there every summer now. read more

Rude and unprofessional. A male critiqued my physical appearance. Just to be mean. If you want to feel neglected while you wait and waste time, this is your place. This guy just showed up, spoke rudely, and then would disappear for 15 minutes in the back. Made me cry when he came back so I just left. 40 minutes and all he did was talk bad about me, to my face, and put my feet in water. What a joke. He's in the wrong line of work. Shame on this company for employing him. read more

I was very displeased here. My husband bought 2 gift certificates for my 8 year old daughter at the time and I. We came in on a Wednesday right after picking her up from school. They had been opened for a month. They did not have enough staff. It wasn't that busy and my daughter and I waited 2 and a half hours. Then they charged me the full 50 dollars for my daughter which they did a drive by for fingernails and painted toenails. They did not give her a pedicure. I have not stepped foot in that place ever since!!! read more

A friend and I had pedicures today and it was wonderful! So relaxing and the nail techs were nice and not at all rough like some salons are.

They were not very friendly and hurt my hands while I was getting my nails done. I would have been able to let that go but they did not do a very good job on my nails! read more

After spending 3 hours waiting for them to keep rotating around me, I was sped through in a 20 minute service where I wash charged $50 for sparkle without being asked. Only 5 people working there. My square tips are more slanted than strait, my shellac toes are "overdrawn" into my cuticles. After being so patient waiting my turn I was extremely disappointed with the final result. Then a very young boy who was working there told me I should spend my money on something else. I'd rather do my own nails and paint outside the lines, horrible experience. read more

I will never go back there. Took myself and someone else in for mani pedi combo. She wanted gel nails, they didnt want to and suggested everything else. When they finally agreed she went to get them done i went to get my pedicure the lady didnt say a word just grunted and pointed when she wanted me to do something. Got her tools out of a box that didnt look clean and began. Cut my toenails off rounded and as a result i now have an ingrown toenail. She was eating while doing my feet which is just dirty. She scrubbed the tops of my feet with a scrubber brush that hurt really bad and then proceeded to do the messiest paint job ever on my toes, putting her tools back in the same box without disinfecting them. When the girl i was with came over and showed me her nails i was less than impressed. Some were short, some were longer, some squared off and others filed down round, she said the tools were dirty and not in a disinfectant. The paint was blotchy and uneven. They said it was only 14 dollars on their website for a mani and 25 for pedi but i ended up paying 59. When i left a 6 dollar tip the lady who did my toes (who didnt speak a word to me the whole time) looks at me and says "this is how much you want to spend?" (Asking about the small tip. I said yes and she proceeded to talk loudly in another language and laugh about it to the other employees right in front of me. Very rude, unprofessional, and bad at their job. read more

Clean, nice atmosphere, however the man that did my pedicure hacked away at my cuticles (which was quite painful) and was quite rough. I had a child take my color off. Child labor laws? Overall, less than satisfactory. I understand that employees children are going to be at places like this, but I'm not paying to be entertained by children. read more

I went to Dream Nails twice and will never return. On my first visit I showed them a picture and they said they could do it. $50 later my nails did not look like the picture. Before I left, I expressed my dissatisfaction. "Kevin" said "No like, no pay". So "Kevin" tried to correct two of the nails. The result was unprofessional, but I was out of time to correct it again. The next day I returned. On my second visit, I just asked for simple French tips. "Kevin" left me soaking in acetone for an hour, and when he finally did come around to finish the job he was rough and incredibly rude. My biggest complaint is the bait and switch pricing. "Kevin" escalated the price three times in the same sentence. The dishonesty, unprofessional treatment of their customers, and unskilled workmanship is a disgrace to a once lovely luxury. I don't NEED to get my nails done. SNS is very affordable on Amazon and easy to do at home. When I treat myself to some pampering I expect to be treated with some decency and respect. read more
