Races run every 20 minutes or so, so you do not have to be there exactly at the first post time (you'll just miss the first race). The employees are quite friendly and very willing to explain how to place a bet. It's cash only but they have an ATM on site. I would've appreciated a map a little more to see where things are. They have several options for viewing the races! Inside is an auditorium-like setup with multiple races on TVs, facing the outside race track. You can also go watch the race from the finish line side outside. Lastly there are also personal tables/booths with small personal TVs that can be used. There are American food and drink options at the restaurant in the casino. No free drinks here, maybe in the casino area? It's really reasonably priced & it's pretty long too. Really well done. (I did 13th floor in San Antonio last night & I think Terror Trail is better.) I think you'll get scared...I did. There's also a zombie shooting area that you ride into. I didn't do that part, but it sounded neat. We also paid an extra 8 bux to cut the line for the haunted house which wasnt bad, but after going thru the night, we could have saved 16 bux and just waited an extra maybe 30 mins only. Line wasnt bad at all, but it was the week before halloween still. All in all, the package with fast pass was only 40 bux each! Thats pretty good in my books considering what i had done before in a different city and paying that much. The zombie paintball was definitely more action packed and the trail was more entertaining than what ive done before. It was cool too since they had a double decker trailer! But if you were first, you dont get to chose where to sit sadly. The bottom needs to be filled first as a safety precaution. And the haunted house, not the best in my experience but for only what i assume was 15bux a ticket, really good! It was a nice change too since i have never went thru an outdoor, cemetary walk before. So that was refreshing! Really great for dates and family or friends nights! Great staff making the experience fun!

The Easter Bunny Buffet at the Coronado Country…read moreClub truly delivered an exceptional dining experience that felt both festive and somewhat excessive! My friend Robin L., a brother from Mexico invited us. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm, elegant, and full of holiday cheering. The buffet itself was nothing short of impressive--beautifully presented and generously stocked with a wide variety of dishes. The spread featured everything you could hope for and more: perfectly fruit & nuts candy crusted salmon, fresh and flavorful shrimp, a colorful assortment of crisp salads and Mediterranean Couscous, and a classic selection of eggs and breakfast favorites. The carving stations were a real standout, offering tender roasted beef, savory pork, and a rich, aromatic braised garlic lamb that was absolutely delightful. Merci chefs! All in all, this Easter celebration was truly a feast--both in flavor and in spirit. If you're looking for a memorable holiday dining experience, the Coronado Country Club is absolutely a great place to be. I especially like the easter egg experience where all children run at the sound of an amazing horn to catch as many Easter eggs as they possibly can! What a great sight of tradition and feast!

The first thing you notice as you walk in is the amount of space that the grounds have. If you walk in you'll notice the food stands to the left and some covered picnic areas immediately to the right. If you walk past the picnic areas, you'll run into some activity areas. The food is expectedly pricey, but you don't have to eat there... just plan ahead. Noah found some friends and headed for the huge slide, after going down that a few times; he went to the ball toss areas. Noemi found her own friends and dragged Liz the other way. They ran through the garden maze first, and found a bounce area. Both kids found the large corn maze area and explored it with their respective friends. We spent a good 30min at least in the long trail. After the kids got done with the maze, they went to hang out and feed the penned up goats. Noemi in particular couldn't wait for the pig race. Noah and I took a tractor ride to the pumpkin patch, wandered around, but we didn't buy any pumpkins or gourds that day. The folks were super friendly - whether it be at the maze, the activities, the food stands... they were all friendly. They have some food options. We ate beforehand, but we got some lemonades and waters to keep us going. La Union has plenty of parking in a lot right out front. The recommendation to bring sunscreen and bug spray is legit... keep it handy. Lookin' forward to next year.
